For my full time job people - this was intense!

About Me:I chose a bootcamp because 1.) I desire to work in this field more than I can express 2.) An ex-coworker took this bootcamp and landed a role and 3.) I needed a structured, step-by-step curriculum to guide me through the UX/UI design process. Balancing the program with a full-time job was challenging, and I often found myself short on time to meet deadlines. On average, I dedicated around 12 hours a week to studying and completed Springboard’s UX/UI program in 12 months. I did take pauses along the way to catch up on coursework, which prolonged my timeline. Without the support of my amazing mentor and the exceptional IDP team I was paired with, it likely would’ve taken me at least three more months to finish. If you’re considering this bootcamp, I strongly recommend doing it while working part-time or not at all if you can—it will better prepare you for a role in UX/UI.
Pros: • Comprehensive Curriculum: The course covers all the fundamentals of UX/UI design, using curated free articles and videos. While these resources are available online, the program saves you time by organizing and vetting them. You’ll still need to dive deeper into some topics on your own, but you’ll have a clear path to follow. • Graded Assignments: Assignments provide an opportunity to practice your skills and get detailed, actionable feedback. • Flexibility: You can work at your own pace, even tackling sections in a different order. Many people don’t finish within the initial 9-month timeline, but free extensions make it manageable (and I personally found them helpful). • Mentorship: My mentor was incredible—offering honest critiques, real-world advice about the design industry, and detailed answers to my questions. This guidance made a huge difference in my progress. • Career Support: The program includes career coaching during and after the course. While the experience depends on your coach, it’s helpful to have someone review your resume, portfolio, and applications while keeping you accountable. • Independent Design Project (IDP): The IDP was my favorite part of the course, even though I typically loathe group projects in traditional school. Working with others who were equally motivated was key to delivering a high-quality project on time. It gave me valuable real-world experience and the confidence to tackle team-based projects in the future.
Cons: • Outdated Materials: Some articles are as old as 10 years, and occasionally links to resources are broken or unavailable. • Unrealistic Timelines: Suggested timelines for assignments don’t always account for beginners learning new tools or concepts. I also felt some career-related content could have been better structured, though the flexibility to work out of order helped. • Job Guarantee: The job guarantee (a refund if you don’t secure a job in 6-12 months) is legitimate but has strict requirements. To qualify, you’ll need to complete the course, apply for a set number of jobs weekly, build and maintain new professional connections, conduct informational interviews, and continue to upskill.
Final Thoughts:Despite a few shortcomings, I have no regrets about completing this bootcamp. It provided me with a solid foundation to pursue entry- or junior-level roles in UX/UI design. If you can dedicate part-time or full-time attention to it, the program is absolutely worth it! Working with a supportive mentor and a highly motivated IDP team made the experience truly rewarding.

    Good Program

It was overall a good experience. I learned a lot from the program. You work at your own pace which was a big help. I liked all the labs that were provided, it gave us hands on experience in the topics we were covering. I was able to take the knowledge I learned from the course and get my CompTIA Security+ certification.

    Great Support Team

I had a limited background in tech when I started the intense bootcamp with Springboard. I had many recourses and a great team available to utilize through the program and PASSED the CompTIA Security+ exam on my first try. It prepared me well! Furthermore, being new to the field the job guarantee and career coaching through the job search was very appealing.

    Springboard Data Science Program

I enrolled in Springboard’s Data Science Career Track with zero prior experience in technology, and I couldn’t have chosen a better platform. The curriculum is comprehensive, breaking down complex concepts into digestible lessons that are easy to follow. The standout feature for me was the 1:1 mentorship. Having access to an industry professional who provided personalized guidance made all the difference. The career coaches offered actionable advice that gave me confidence in pursuing a career in data science. For anyone considering this bootcamp, I wholeheartedly recommend it—it’s an investment that truly pays off.

    An overall excellent experience

Though their curriculum is overdue for a refresh, I found it to be adequate to prepare me for the UX job market. The mentors and career coaches alone, are worth the investment. This 6-month program ended up taking me 9 months to complete - it's no light-duty bootcamp, and really I think the term "bootcamp" doesn't quite fit. This program pushed me to do my best work, and I'm hopeful that I'll get a job thanks to what I learned along with the ongoing support of the excellent post-completion coach I chose. I would recommend this program!

    Best bootcamp experience possible

Springboard's Software Engineering Bootcamp sincerely helped become a confident and knowledgeable software engineer. This bootcamp and the people at Springboard set you up for success, but it's all up to you to get what you can out of it. If you work hard, you will be able to say it was an amazing experience. I personally came from knowing nothing about software engineering, and now I can confidently code, build websites and do things I never thought I would be doing. If you are on the edge of choosing between bootcamp's or just looking into this direction, I would highly suggest you give this opportunity with Springboard a shot!

The Springboard cybersecurity program was a great introductory experience for me in order to learn about cybersecurity. I was able to start from a novice level and work my way up with the through/challenging curriculum and the guidance of my mentors and the coaches offered in the program. The labs provided useful hands on learning experience for real world applications of the curriculum and tested proficiency and applicable knowledge well. The program is also timed well to be completed in a 6 month period and can be done with a full time work role.

    Insightful, Tangible, and Fruitful

The curriculum was not daunting and truly set you up for fruition in the Comp TIA Security+ exam.  The most illuminating part of Springboard was the advice and motivation provided by my Mentor.  He was able to have an extremely positive influence on my self efficacy in the cybersecurity field.  Mentorship is a lost art these days and Springboard provides students with a pool of exceptional mentors.  I have no regrets in applying and graduating from this institution.

Empowering Cybersecurity Program with Practical Skills

Attending this program was a game-changer for my cybersecurity journey. The curriculum provided a comprehensive foundation, combining theoretical knowledge with hands-on labs and real-world scenarios. One major advantage was the supportive mentorship, which helped clarify concepts and build confidence. Additionally, the flexibility in learning allowed me to balance studies with other commitments. Empowering

I had no official IT experience but I was gently let into the IT world through the layer upon layer approach of Springboard. I had hands on to see the concepts in practice. I had mentors, TAs and great support staff who promptly addressed my challenges.
Springboard is a people centered organization. They worked with me through phases in my private life which required my full attention like the delivery of our son. I could be present with family because Springboard has accommodations for events of life.
The course materials are so empowering that I felt prepared to take CompTIA with a few weeks of preparation.
Springboard has a great team of career coaches who have helped me set up a befitting Resume and a LinkedIn page.

Great Program That Gives Just Enough Information to Delve Deeper in Any Area - Data Science Track

The Springboard program gave a great survey of the entire data science process before going into various topics. I gained a good handle on Python programming and SQL by the end. The projects were organized in tiers of difficulty which gave me the ability to complete them at any level. By far the greatest part of this program was my technical mentor. She had incredible industry knowledge  and guided me in my capstone projects so I didn't deliver work that was too simplistic or get lost in overcomplicated projects.

The one thing I'd like to see in the future of the program is more time spent on the 'software engineering' side of data science. How do you deliver in the broader context  setting up models and product for commercial use within a company? I think this could be a differentiator in the future.

I am very glad I chose the Springboard Data Science Track as my first introduction into Data Science.

A Well-Structured Program That Enhances Skills with Strong Community Support

I recently completed the Springboard certification program, and overall, I found it to be a well-structured and progressive course. The learning path was easy to follow, making it simple to stay on track and build new skills. One of the program's highlights was the active and supportive community, which provided timely help whenever I encountered challenges. This aspect greatly contributed to enhancing my marketing skills. However, I believe there is room for improvement in the mentor-matching process. It would be more beneficial if mentor assignments aligned more closely with the student’s background. Additionally, the tech support could be more responsive to ensure smoother learning experiences.

    Good Curriculum and Support

I had a good experience with the curriculum content, which offers a variety of resource types and levels. There are also optional materials that enhance the learning experience. At times, the pace of the curriculum can feel a bit fast, especially if you're balancing work or studies, but there are options like pausing the course or getting a free extension after completing a certain percentage of the content. Overall, it was a positive experience, with the technical support and mentor calls being some of the most valuable aspects.
