I am in IT but am unfamiliar or barely familiar with a lot of the languages and concepts that the Nucamp bootcamps teach. I think the courses are a very good value, especially compared to the "certification" courses that are associated with universities. If I'm going to retread some ground while getting a comprehensive groundwork of new concepts that are not particularly relevant to my current job, I'm happy to pay Nucamp's tuition vs the other bootcamps out there.
You could argue that you could get the same information out of books, but Nucamp provides a structured community with very responsive instructors when you're asking for help. And of course, for those of use who aren't the most self-starting in our personal life, having deadlines and real people to report to is extremely helpful and motivating.
