Nucamp is an intense journey into cybersecurity. it's enjoyable and challenging. The instructor is well informed and knowledgeable about the current relevant tech. The students are engaged and willing to assist each other as well. I am pleased with my progress so far. I am also a Disabled person with a spinal chord injury and wheelchair, all of the reasonable accommodations are being made for my success.

I am an IT Support Specialist with over 12 years of experience. I was recently laid off and found myself unemployed about 2 months ago. With AI replacement of tier 1 support seeming to be inevitable, I made the decision to invest in myself and upskill with hopes of landing a better job that would provide more stability over time. I came across NuCamp through one of the links in the Washington WorkSource website. I've been wanting to pursue a career in DevOps for some time and NuCamp just so happen to have a bootcamp specifically designed to give someone like me the tools and skills to get me started. Whether I will get a job as a result of my completion for the bootcamp is yet to be seen since I've only completed the Python Fundamentals course, however; I have been able to finally learn Python programming after so many years of trying to learn on my own. With the knowledge I've acquired so far, I feel more confident in being able to actually build something of value. While the video lessons can be dry at times, and you can find better videos on YouTube, the instructors were knowledge and very helpful. They gave some valuable insights into the industry during the workshops and always provided fair and thoughtful feedback on assignments. Based on my experience so far after completing the first part of the bootcamp, I would recommend this bootcamp to anyone interested in a career in DevOps. Of course, the bootcamp will only provide you with a spark. It is up to the individual to maintain the flame and continue to build upon the skills and knowledge acquired through the bootcamp. Good curriculum, not enough instructors.  The ones they have are good.
I learned Python in 5 weeks, so I'm happy.  Basically, three courses met online in one meeting, got divide into 3 groups by course, and  would wait for the instructor to visit them.  This led to a lot of downtime / wasted time.

Honestly, mostly AI generated slop. I wouldn't recommend these bootcamps through this organization, for it does not help you, save for the other students in the class that try to help each other. The class is said to be instructor led, but it is not. It is almost all AI generated content, nearly 100 pages of AI mindless filler a week, and then pointers to a more-well-done TryHackMe website. From stories I've been gathering, there used to be more instructor involvement, and engagement throughout the week, which has been narrowed to almost no time with instructors, the 4hr sessions on your weekends devoted to instructors now being split between multiple courses. So, you used to be able to take multiple of these bootcamps, and then have dedicated times on your weekends for sessions with other students and instructors for overview and assignments. Then, they tell you a day in advance that your selected weekend time that you've planned this course (or multiple) have all been moved to the exact same time. Which means inconvenience to your schedule if you planned things around a dedicated time you thought you'd be having each week only for that to suddenly change, or, even worse, you signed up for more than one course and now have to have the only important engagements be at the exact same time. But then, it gets better because when you used to have one instructor per course, now there is one instructor per 3-4 courses. Which means the 4hr you've paid for instructors and engagement to helping you learn is now maybe 1.5hours.  So, ultimately, there are just a bunch of selfish AHoles at the top wanting to pay less of the people engaging with students, to have to do so across a larger net. Good luck trying to get help or involvement from the admin teams, who will do nothing to address your concerns. They will route you to the AI bots on Discord to expect them to answer you instead.

Ultimately saying that, there are some good people trying to teach other students wanting to learn, organized by a greedy corporation that doesn't care to even update their materials nor their errors, mostly all composed by AI, with a bunch of uninvolved leadership earning a bunch of money for these unhelpful courses that deal more in abstraction than application, punishing those teachers by juggling way more than they can handle.

These aren't worth it. They don't prepare you. Read less

I’ve completed Web Fund, Python Fund and I’m finishing SQL/Back-End. While the curriculum itself remains high-quality and the instructors are genuinely talented, the recent changes to the classroom structure have significantly "cheapened" the experience.

Midway through my Python course, Nucamp began combining multiple classes into a single session. Instead of a dedicated instructor for your cohort, groups now have to "take turns" waiting for the teacher to review material.

• Inefficiency: If your group isn't first, you’re essentially sitting there waiting while another class gets their questions answered.
• Lack of Support: If you have questions that need to be addressed before or during an assignment, you’re out of luck if it’s not your "turn" yet.
• The Vibe: It feels like a clear cost-cutting measure. It looks like they are either short on teachers or trying to maximize profit at the expense of student engagement.

If instructor bandwidth is the issue, Nucamp should stagger start times so every group gets a dedicated first hour of focused review. 

I liked the course content, but because of this shift in logistics, I no longer recommend Nucamp, nor will I be taking further courses once I finish this bootcamp. It’s a shame to see such high-quality teaching diluted by poor administrative decisions. Read less

Nucamp was cool because it helped me understand the fundamentals of how AI actually thinks, not just how to use tools. Learning how models process data, make decisions, and where they fail gave me a much better foundation. It made AI feel less like a black box and more like something I can reason about, build on, and apply in real life. Read less

We covered a lot of ground during the Cybersecurity bootcamp. I was challenged and supported each week with the right content, practice labs, and quizzes to keep my learning going while building my skills and confidence. The bootcamp has been worth my time, money, and effort. Read less

What led me here in Nucamp was the community and different minds. Hearing different types of knowledge and approaches to to tech is awesome. I think that's why I'm here at Nucamp and also I always curious of learning new things  and how's things work.

I started building basic websites using gohighlevel and started to wonder how it was actually build on the backend and how to write html, css, etc. so I started with freecodecamp. Then started digging deeper into actual courses when I stumbled upon Nucamp. I asked a couple of friends who were in the tech/coding industry and they said that Nucamp would be a good option and with that I decided to enroll. I am very happy I did and I have already learned sooo much! My goal is to continue on so I can learn how to build an app.  Read less

I joined Nucamp because I was looking for an affordable and flexible way to transition into tech without quitting my full-time job. After researching various bootcamps, Nucamp stood out for its weekly schedule, hands-on projects, and community support.The experience was overall positive. The curriculum started with the basics and gradually introduced more advanced topics like React, Node.js, and full-stack development. The mix of self-paced learning and weekly instructor-led workshops really helped reinforce the material.One of the highlights was the support system—Slack channels, instructors, and classmates were all encouraging and responsive. There were times when I wished for deeper coverage on certain topics or more time with instructors, but overall, it provided a solid base to continue learning and building projects on my own.I now feel confident applying for junior developer roles and continuing to grow my skills in web development. Great course for a newbie like me. Thanks! I thought the course and the weekend labs were structured well, for someone like me that doesn't have a lot of time. On a related note, the course does a good job of balancing the content for both types of individuals  that may be new to the field and those with some experience. My experience with nucamp was a solid 4/5.
The instructors I was assigned were, for the most part, very knowledgeable and knew what they were talking about. They were also great teachers and explained concepts well (especially in the fundamentals and devops sections).
The midweek lesson content is kind of a wasteland of AI-inspired instructions without much teaching, so look out for that and have your documentation ready!

Honestly, this was still better than going to college and spending $5000 learning more English. I got a decent amount of experience and confidence with backend design (:

I liked the pricing of this bootcamp, the payment plan and the flexibility in the amount of different starting dates/sessions provided. 
It makes it easier to balance with a full time job.
I like that there aren't textbooks to purchase.

Nucamp is a good choice for those who are familiar with the world of tech but want to get their hands dirty for the first time. I had no experience coding before taking this program and now feel confident with html / css / and bootstrap. I recommend this bootcamp if you are looking at being a developer with no prior experience. I have decided to continue and do the backend bootcamp later this year! Read less

I was led to enroll in NuCamp by, frankly, other reviews of former students who also had zero experience with Coding. It was definitely the right decision, because not only did I meet an incredible team of young developers, but I also made connections with instructors who had been working on these things for years. I'm working on Full Stack, and NuCamp is my choice to get there for sure, at least starting out with the Web Development Fundamentals Course. This course laid the foundation for a long future in Web Development and Software Engineering, which is the goal. The instructor was new to NuCamp, but shared his knowledge with us and was very forthcoming with not only functional solutions, but with shortcuts and hacks that helped us succeed. The course material was intuitive and straightforward and helped us learn while creating, rather than by regurgitation, which I prefer. The UI of the student site is very pleasant and is clear what each of my weekly course goals are, as well as the objectives of each task and what the end-products should be. The code documentation is updated frequently, as trends change, and the course focuses on the basics, as well as the end-goal of deploying a website. Read less

Excellent source of learning.  Courses are structured to allow time to complete the courses as well as challenging enough to keep you engaged.  The courses are well thought out and provide real world examples of how to use the code.  The course projects allow you to build your repository for areas that interest you and solidify your programming skills in the community. I want to migrate to a Backend Engineer role. I enrolled in the corresponding bootcamp at Nucamp. It was a giant mistake which I regretted since module 1, week 1! There were several reasons why I felt instantly disappointed:  
- I was led to believe there was going to be a weekly workshop in which somebody would hold me accountable for my weekly work - no sign of that, I was all alone for 3 entire modules. 
- The course materials are very slim in content and with mistakes. I learned very little things in about 16 total weeks of courses
- They correct your homework with AI, there is close to no real feedback from a real person
- The last module was without an instructor!!! Even if some personal issues prevented the instructor from taking the course, there was no backup option from Nucamp!
- The last module "DevOPs in public cloud" is absolutely horrible! They try to pretend that they teach you AWS, GCP and Azure in it (you have 1 week for each, with about 20 minutes of videos for that)! They don't provide sandbox environments for you to learn, they don't care how you get the public cloud environments, they rely on each student getting the free tiers for this case. BUT! If you have already used the free tiers, they don't care, they don't have an alternative for you. You complain, they don't reply to you anymore. Also, you acquire extra costs, they also don't care, they make you sign a release beginning of the course, so they don't share liability in case you get extra costs from the public cloud accounts.
- There is no flexibility and no understanding from them when you try to present your dissatisfaction with the course and ask for better conditions; they already took your money, they don't care

This was an absolutely horrible experience! Cannot stress that enough! I paid a lot of money for this and didn't get 10% of my money worth. 
KEEP AWAY! 
There are so many options there way more deserving of your time and efforts. Some of them are even free, most of them are way cheaper! Don't make the same mistakes I did! Read less

I wanted to learn a bit of coding and wanted to see if I enjoyed software coding. This was the right decision and I am glad that I started with Web development. I felt so accopmlished deploying my first website using firebase. The videos are super interactive and enjoyed the company of classmate and my professor Yvan. I want to keep learning more backend. Front end even though it was a good start. It is just the start.
