I wanted a change of career. It was overall a good experience, but I'm not sure it has enough practice or goes deep enough into the subjects to prepare for a future job. Thankfully, it's really affordable, but if you do this boot camp then supplement the weekly assignments with your own videos.  Read less

Nucamp's affordability led me to try it out. Honestly, I am enjoying it very much! Having other students who are learning as well sure helps! Another great thing is the communication and the community through Discord where you have graduates and all sort of instructors there to help you. They have their own mini-version of AI which helps with debugging and whatnot. Read less

I wanted to change career paths and jump into tech but wasn't sure the best way to go about it.  I know I wanted to do a bootcamp but didn't want to break the bank so I chose Nucamp because they were affordable but still offered a great learning structure.  I do believe its important to continue to learn on your own but having a class structure just helps keep me motivated to keep on going.  I truly enjoy the flexibility to learn on your own during the week and then attend class once a week for workshops.  Both students and instructors serve as great resources during the course and there is always someone online to help if you need it.  Grateful for Nucamp and excited to continue on my full stack journey.   Read less

NuCamp Started Great for Me with the Web Development course and led me to believe I could undertake this (a long time goal) to become a Full Stack Developer.  I am a busy professional and it is challenging to carve out time when competing with things outside and often times not controllable.

I found that there is a very big difference between instructors at NuCamp, and that starting off the bootstrap course required new concepts in setup of computing platforms and resources.  And while I accomplished that (as I am a network engineer by trade and familiar with IT and compute platforms in general), I had to go back and redo the setup procedures between 2 different machines a couple times.

While this was good practice I felt that the setup documentation was  lacking and to make matters worse the course and instructor made no allowance for this and just simply went too fast through content to ever really be able to catch up.  The time on Saturday's which started out good in the web development course we're really not 2-way in the Full Stack Course and it was just a one way verbatim of the week's summary slides, which I felt should have been more of a guided review with Q&A on the exercises and activities completed during the week.

I am a technologist by trade for 20 years and an SVP of Engineering so my judgement should be a bit better than average, but I saw a lot of my other classmates seriously struggling as well.

I really liked the principle and first experience of NuCamp, but have to say I was very disappointed in the failure to establish a good and positive feedback loop to the Full Stack course for students and the pace was just simply too fast to learn by watching a short youtube segment and then plowing through exercises only to get to Saturday and listen to a lecture on the summary slides of the week.

I am disappointed in myself for not keeping up, and still have my goal of full stack development proficiency but I have to reassess if this format is a good one to learn from at the pace it is plowing through content with little time for Q&A.

Still a NuCamp Fan but feel like a bit of care and better instructions should be devoted to purpose, intent (where you will start and where you will end up for each course), requirements and setup of tools needed to get your platform right and a little thumbs up to the class before rushing ahead and getting everyone weeks behind just running to catchup.

As a technical person I like to hear:  here is what you will learn in the course, where you should be at when you start and here is what you will be able to do when you complete the course, here is what you are going to install, this is what it allows your machine to do, this is the process overhead of how it affects computing platforms and the differences between directory and proper file structure management between courses, modules and technical tool requirements.

Anyway, sadly this approach and pace to full stack failed for me and I would like to return again and attempt with a different instructor.  While I am still being billed monthly the instructor cut off my access to course live workshops and never responded to my inquiries in what her recommendations would be to get caught up.

Bootstrap was in fact one of the areas I was looking forward to most and just the beginning of the course series, so very sad that I cannot listen along and try to absorb as much as possible for my next attempts... while I am still being billed.... that doesn't seem right to me....... I am not giving up on learning but it looks like NuCamp is giving up on me. Read less

I was impressed by Nucamp's Return on Investment compared to other bootcamps out there.  Another feature that drew me to attend Nucamp was there way of highlighting former students who had non tradition backgrounds as myself, and seeing their success.  I believe it was the correct decision to attend Nucamp's coding bootcamp because I enjoy learning new things and I feel I will definitely be ready to enter the workforce once I complete the bootcamp.     Read less

Another notable feature is the job support. Nucamp doesn't just teach you how to code, they guide you into your new career. They offer career services that help you with resume building, interview techniques, and networking in the tech industry. Watching my brother transition seamlessly into his new job gave me the assurance I needed to dive into this career change.

All in all, my experience at Nucamp has been a positive one. It's a path I embarked on to quench my curiosity and facilitate my career transition, and I must say, it's doing a remarkable job.

For anyone out there considering a coding bootcamp, I wholeheartedly recommend Nucamp. Whether you're a newbie or someone looking for a career change like me, this bootcamp will equip you with the skills, knowledge, and confidence to succeed in the tech industry. It's been an amazing ride for me, and I am sure it will be the same for you.

I've had a great experience at nucamp and the instructors have been great getting guidance or talking to admin folks has been smooth and seemless. When theres an issue they are very helpful. The workshops are great and challenge you to think and challenge yourself with the code. I think its really about what you put in is what youll get the more you work on it and study the easier and more natural it starts to come . I was attracted to the program because it is financially attainable, and possible for those with busy schedules to complete. I have a full tiem job and two little girls, so flexibility with scheduling is important for me. I liked the course, although I wish the JavaScript section was longer. We did a lot in just two weeks. I believe nuCamp has changed the fundamentals course so accomodate this request from many students.  Read less

I stumbled upon Nucamp through WA Career Bridge and after a phone call with Anuja, I gained a clearer understanding of the bootcamp and decided to try the Web Fundamentals. Initially, obviously I was quite nervous, I would like to emphasize the importance of dedicating sufficient time for studying each week. It is crucial to allocate time for practice and actively engage in the workshops. Once the class started, the teacher made it incredibly easy to grasp all the information and created a relaxed learning environment. He consistently provided words of encouragement, celebrating our achievements and progress. 
Another notable aspect of the teacher's practice of forming groups during challenges. This creates an environment where fellow students can collaborate, support, and help each other. I found it incredibly beneficial to work alongside classmates who were not only encouraging but also willing to lend a hand. It was through this process of helping others that I discovered the power of mutual learning, you can gained new insights and perspectives, but mainly you reinforce your own understanding of the subject matter.     Read less

I'm 42 and switching careers. Tech has always appealed to me and so I decided to take the plunge. I'd never heard of Nucamp but I'd been researching for weeks - it had great reviews and was affordable. Take it or leave it: it was a great course with fantastic instructors. You need to be disciplined as it's online but as with anything, you get what you put into it. Some material is tough and requires extra effort, but there is no lack of support! I felt more community and support here than I did when I was at university, in person. It was the right decision, the right school. If you're hesitant, go for it!  Read less

Interaction with the Nucamp instructors, and the ability to collaborate on the Nucamp discord server is  what makes the Nucamp boot camp worth it. It is fast paced, so I would recommend doing some self paced online tutorials before delving in.  I heard Nucamp is updating the content for its newer bootcamp intro class.  For the price, I totally recommend this class.   Read less

After conducting few findings about the Bootcamp I found some of the reviews on Course Report really interesting. What made me chose Numcap finally is the tuition fees. I could study fundamental level and full stack web development for just 30% of what most Bootcamps around are offering despite most of them are offering the same teaching model.  

This is no brainer for me after speaking with few Bootcamps. I have just completed my fundamental level of html, CSS, & JavaScript and I have immediately enrolled for the full stack web development because I'm more than convince that Numcamp has what it takes to help me achieve more goal of becoming a software engineer. At least I will not be in debt after completing this course because of the minmal amount I paid for the tuition. This is one of the reasons I'm so excited to go through the course.  Read less

I enrolled in Nucamp because it was an affordable way to dip my toes in the waters of web developement witout getting myself in a financially hurtful situation. Nucamp's course content for the Fundamentals course and the care and attention of it's instructor Kevin exceeded my expectations.
