The Applied AI and Data Science program was challenging, especially coming back to technical learning after some time away. That said, the structure and support made it possible to work through complex concepts without feeling overwhelmed.
The biggest value for me was gaining the confidence to have more informed, meaningful conversations with technical teams. It gave me a much stronger understanding of how data is actually used in decision-making.
Overall, a rigorous program that pushes you, but genuinely builds your capability if you stick with it.

Attending the MIT’s PE course in Applied AI and Data Science administered by Great Learning was a highly rewarding experience and one that I would strongly recommend to anyone looking to deepen their understanding of modern AI technologies.

One of the most valuable aspects of the program was the strong emphasis on hands-on learning. The courses provided numerous opportunities to actually build and experiment with AI models. This practical exposure helped reinforce the concepts and made it much easier to understand how AI systems work in real-world scenarios.
The program also offered broad technical exposure to a wide range of AI tools, frameworks, and concepts.  

The program was well structured. Classroom sessions led by experienced professors were complemented by mentoring sessions and revision webinars. 
Overall, the course strikes a good balance between theory, practical implementation, and guided learning.

The Great Learning class i took was Designing Advanced Generative AI Workflows.  In a word - it was awesome.  I knew nothing about AI before the class and now, I'm an expert.  I understand acronyms and terms and best of all, I understand where to apply my new-found knowledge.  The staff and instructors at Great Learning won't let you fail.  The support system is really good.  They provide Internal resources that support learning.  The instructors are excellent.  They make sure you understand the content.  The pace is perfect for learning.  Again, failing isn't an option.  You give the class your effort and they take it the rest of the way by providing support at every turn.  The weekly quizzes keep you on track and the video instructors are great.    Last but not least - the Program Manager is the most supportive person I've ever met.  It's like you are her only student.  She keeps track of your progress and if you miss something she pushes you back on track.    Read less

 I had such a great time with this course. Given the current AI inflection point where society seems to be I simply had to understand advanced Data Science and AI in detail. I thought I understood, in general, these topics. I was wrong. This course provided a news lens by which I can understand my field, data science, and AI in my day to day. 

Like any good program it was designed to allow you to take as much out of it as you were willing to put in. It was boarder-line to complex, by design, the entire time because it encouraged me to be curious enough to think and puzzle over the small things. Working with my colleagues in the cohort it was clear that each of us felt that same way. It was also clear that each of us was taking from the course work. 

Each of the course sections tackles a different aspect of coding, statistics, data science, machine learning, and ultimately generative AI. Depending on where you start, the curriculum can be like drinking from a fire hose from course topic to course topic. The deep learning course, for me, was where I hit some topics that were completely foreign and fascinating. Others topics, before and after, weren't as demanding (for me). The faculty was amazing. That MIT professors really know not only their field but how to educate. It was a joy listening to them all. 

I had no coding experience and took on the "full code" approach to the assignments. It took effort, but I feel like the program equipped me with what I needed to accel. The quizzes, assignments, and even the final projects were fun and engaging. 

One note, I have a solid background in statistics but had no background at all in matrix algebra. The course attempts to teach both topics, but the linear algebra (super important in this field) was something I had to really focus on throughout the program.   Read less

The pacing is well-designed; despite having a full-time job, I was able to keep up with lectures, review materials, and complete quizzes and assignments without feeling overwhelmed.
During the program, I faced a few personal situations that affected my schedule, but the program management was very supportive and flexible, extending deadlines for quizzes and even project submissions.
The instructors were knowledgeable and effective overall. The live sessions were engaging and interactive, and instructors made an effort to keep the class dynamic while also sharing practical insights and real-world experiences, which added significant value.
One challenge was that different accents among instructors occasionally made some parts harder to follow. I usually watched videos at 1.5x–2x speed, and switching back to normal speed helped, though it was slightly inconvenient at times.
Additionally, the assessments could be more engaging with a bit more creativity, which would make the overall learning experience even more compelling.
Overall, I found the program to be a valuable and well-structured learning experience, especially for those looking to expand their knowledge in generative AI. Read less

 I recently completed the full coding version of the Applied AI and Data Science program, and it was a great experience. I am a researcher in Education specializing in qualitative video data analysis, with particular interest in methodological innovation and the integration of AI into research practices. I had a genuinely very positive experience with this MIT No Code AI & Machine Learning Program.
What I particularly appreciated was the way the program brought together a strong academic perspectives and managerial expertise. This combination created a rich and balanced environment, where conceptual understanding was not treated in isolation but continuously connected to real professional practices.
For me, this was especially valuable. The course did not simply introduce tools, nor did it stay at a purely theoretical level. It articulated both. Concepts were grounded, discussed, and then translated into hands-on applications in a way that made sense from a research as well as a professional standpoint.
This kind of alignment between theory, methodology, and practice is not always easy to achieve, and I found it particularly well executed here.
I also want to highlight the role of the platform and the Great Learning team. The platform itself was intuitive and well-structured, which made navigating between concepts and tools very smooth. More importantly, the Great Learning team created a supportive and responsive environment that facilitated understanding at every step. I had an excellent experience with Great Learning through the JHU Certificate Program in Applied Generative AI. The institute is highly professional and well-organized, making the overall learning journey smooth and rewarding.The faculty—both from Johns Hopkins University and Great Learning—were outstanding. They went beyond simply delivering the curriculum, often sharing insights and practical knowledge that extended well past the course material. This added tremendous value to the program.The mentored learning sessions (MLS) conducted by Great Learning faculty were particularly impressive. I enrolled in the Walsh Program at this institute with high expectations, but my overall experience has been mixed. There are several important points that prospective students should carefully consider before applying.

The program is significantly more expensive than other comparable programs in the industry. Unfortunately, the quality of the content and learning resources does not justify the premium pricing. In fact, similar educational material can be found elsewhere at a much lower cost, which makes the overall value proposition questionable.

Additionally, there is little to no placement support provided by the institution. Students are largely on their own when it comes to securing job opportunities after graduation. If you are expecting structured career guidance, campus placements, or a smooth transition into a new role, this program may not meet your expectations. Be prepared to invest additional time and effort independently to build your career.

In summary, while the program may offer learning opportunities, its high cost and lack of placement support are important factors to consider before making a decision. Read less

I had a truly enriching learning experience with the Post Graduate Program in Generative AI for Business Applications offered by the University of Texas at Austin in collaboration with Great Learning.

The course material was well-structured, detailed, and highly explanatory, making even complex topics easy to understand. The mentored sessions were especially valuable, providing guided hands-on experience and helping me understand the nuances of various techniques in depth.

The program also had excellent support in place, with a dedicated program manager and support team who were easily accessible and helped resolve queries promptly. The learning portal was user-friendly, and the assessment methodologies, along with practical projects, ensured strong hands-on exposure.

I particularly appreciated how the curriculum covered both AI and Generative AI fundamentals, along with model architectures in depth, enabling a clear connection to real-world business applications. The syllabus was well-defined and thoughtfully structured.

Another standout feature was the dual-track approach for projects catering separately to developers and managers which helped in grooming the right skill sets based on individual career paths and expectations.
