Having completed this program as part of the 2026 cohort, I can say it was a genuinely rewarding experience. The live classes with MIT faculty stand out in particular; sessions are interactive and the instructors are deeply knowledgeable and engaged. There are some recorded materials sprinkled throughout, but face-to-face instruction with faculty is clearly at the core of the program.The course covers a lot of ground and moves at a fast pace, though it never felt unmanageable. The MIT faculty are approachable and responsive when questions come up, and Great Learning's mentors are consistently present to help you stay on track. Having both sides available throughout made a real difference.One aspect worth knowing upfront: while MIT faculty handle the bulk of the teaching, quizzes and capstone projects are evaluated by the Great Learning team. It's a collaborative structure that works well once you settle into the rhythm of the program.Overall, it's a well-organized program with a strong academic backbone. If you're looking to build a solid foundation in AI and data science, this is a worthwhile investment.

The MIT Applied AI & Data Science Program exceeded my expectations in both technical depth and practical application.What I appreciated the most was that the program was not limited to theory. It provided hands-on experience with real-world projects involving machine learning, deep learning, computer vision, data analysis, and business-oriented problem solving. The curriculum pushed me to think critically, structure analytical workflows properly, and communicate technical insights clearly.One of the strongest aspects of the program was the Capstone Project experience. Developing an end-to-end deep learning project for malaria detection allowed me to apply concepts such as CNN architectures, transfer learning, preprocessing pipelines, model evaluation, and performance optimization in a realistic scenario similar to industry-level work.The mentorship, structure, and academic rigor were excellent throughout the program. It challenged me to improve not only my technical abilities in Python, AI, and data science, but also my problem-solving mindset and presentation skills.I would highly recommend this program to professionals who want a practical, intensive, and industry-relevant learning experience in Artificial Intelligence and Data Science.

The course provided a good foundation in Data Science with balance of theory and practical implementation. The hands-on projects, assignments, and case studies were valuable in helping apply concepts to real-world scenarios.The mentorship and feedback sessions were helpful in improving both technical understanding and project presentation skills. I also appreciated the emphasis on problem-solving, interpretation of results, and business context rather than only coding.Overall, the course was highly informative and has provided me some confidence in working on Data Science projects and pursuing opportunities in the field.

I completed the AI ​​& Data Science Program bootcamp: Leveraging Responsible AI, Data and Statistics for Practical Impact. It was an incredible experience, with excellent instructors, great mentorship, and a willingness to help. The course content was very comprehensive, with projects that simulate real-world situations. For me, the main highlight was the flexibility to take classes and do projects according to my schedule, which greatly helped me finish the course.

I recently wrapped up the Applied Data Science Program from MIT Professional Education, and I went into it with pretty specific expectations—I wasn’t looking for theory-heavy academia, but something practical that I could actually apply.Overall, I’d say it delivered on that.What worked well for me was the structure and consistency. The program walks through core data science concepts—EDA, supervised and unsupervised learning, model evaluation—in a way that’s approachable but still meaningful. The case studies and assignments were probably the most valuable part. They forced me to think in terms of real-world problem solving instead of just “run this model and check a box.”I also appreciated the discipline it created. With a full-time job and everything else going on, having a structured program kept me honest and progressing, which is honestly half the battle with self-learning.That said, this isn’t a deep-dive, cutting-edge program. If you already have strong experience in ML or are looking for advanced topics like deep learning, large-scale systems, or building production-grade ML pipelines, this won’t go far enough. In my case, coming from an SRE background, it was actually a good fit—it helped me connect the dots and build a solid applied foundation without getting lost in theory.One unexpected benefit was how it shifted my thinking. I now approach problems a bit more “data-first,” and I’m more comfortable evaluating models, asking the right questions, and thinking about trade-offs.Net-net: if you’re trying to break into data science or add applied ML skills to your existing role, it’s worth it. If you’re already deep in the field, you might want something more advanced.

I recently completed the Applied AI, Machine Learning, and Data Science course under the MIT Professional Education and IDSS framework, and the experience was both rigorous and highly practical. The curriculum is exceptionally well-structured, progressing from foundational statistical concepts to advanced machine learning techniques with clear real-world applications.What stands out most is the program’s strong emphasis on problem-solving and applied learning. Instead of focusing solely on theory, the course integrates hands-on projects, case studies, and industry-relevant datasets, which significantly strengthened my ability to translate concepts into actionable solutions. Topics such as supervised and unsupervised learning, model evaluation, and data-driven decision-making were covered in depth with a clear focus on practical implementation.

I am a general surgery resident applying AI to breast cancer care. The MIT Great Learning Applied AI and Data Science Program provided the technical foundation I needed, with expert instruction that made complex topics accessible. Challenging but well supported, it was a highly valuable experience.

 The course was excellent, with all topics covered in depth. The hands-on projects were engaging and practical. Mentor sessions were very helpful and improved my understanding significantly. 

I had a very positive experience with the Great Learning Data Analysis course. It was definitely demanding, but in a way that pushed me to grow and stay engaged throughout the program. The curriculum is well-structured and covers both foundational concepts and practical applications, which made the learning feel relevant and immediately useful.What I appreciated most was how much I actually learned. The hands-on projects and real-world datasets helped me connect theory to practice, and I now feel much more confident in my data analysis skills.Overall, it’s a challenging course, but absolutely rewarding. If you’re ready to put in the effort, you’ll gain a lot from it.

 The Applied AI and Data Science Program at MIT and Great Learning exceeded expectations in both rigor and relevance. Every module builds toward practical, industry‑aligned skills supported by clear explanations and hands‑on projects. It’s fast, demanding, and deeply rewarding. The program strengthens your analytical reasoning, enhances your understanding of modern AI methods, and equips you to deliver meaningful insights in real‑world settings. The instructors, mentors, and program managers play a central role. They provide clear guidance, timely support, and a structured learning environment that makes the intensity of the program both manageable and meaningful. 

I finished the Applied Data Science program through great learning, and loved my experience. I would love to go back to school at MIT or one of the big universities, but with 3 little kids and a full time job, I will not have time to do so. Great Learning has made it so I can learn from professors on a somewhat flexible schedule. The course was hard work, but very worth it. 

This course is a masterclass in clarity and practical application. I especially valued the deep dive into multi-modal systems, which gave me the confidence to evaluate and select the right models for various scenarios. The course materials are expertly developed and easy to follow. Beyond the content, the mentorship was invaluable. The instructors don’t just teach; they mentor. The live sessions allowed us to explore the material with real-world examples, ensuring we fully grasped the concepts before moving forward. The homework platform was also seamless, providing clear instructions that kept the momentum going.

As a Senior Software Engineer, I learned a lot, beyond my expectations, on Theoretical and Technical aspects of probabilities and how to apply that knowledge using Python to practical issues and deriving useful conclusions and recommendations. The assignments (quizzes, case studies, capstone project) worked in tandem to deliver an excellent learning experience.  The Team collectively did an excellent job of delivering the concepts, coming up with the assignments, covering the case studies, and managing my needs as a student as necessary. Thank you all, and all the best to the program 🙏

I recently completed the MIT Applied AI and Data Science Professional Certificate Program and I cannot be more satisfied with the overall experience. As a postdoctoral researcher in cognitive neuroscience, I was searching for a short, applied AI training program that could widen my understanding of the technology and give me a certified credential to support a possible job search outside of academia. From the start, I noticed that the advert for this program was much more organized and detailed than other equivalent offers. It covered a great range of novel topics for me—from machine learning to deep learning and generative AI—in a reasonable number of weeks and with a schedule I could actually combine with my full-time job. It was a huge challenge to dedicate my weekends and early mornings to the coursework, but it was absolutely achievable, and I’m so glad I made the decision.First and foremost, the program was so well-organized and supported by mentors, professors, and the IT team that the learning felt much "lighter" than it could have been. The course platform is excellent and carefully designed; it was easy to find the curated materials, use the AI-assisted training tools, and complete the assessments. The teaching staff were also outstanding: very well-prepared, kind, and attentive when replying to questions with real precision. All these factors made the learning process truly enjoyable, and I felt consistently motivated to give my best when solving problems and final projects. By the end of the journey, I realized just how much I had grown; I’ve gained a solid understanding of business problems, acquired the specific jargon of the field, and got plenty of hands-on practice with Python packages and model evaluation. I happily recommend this program to anyone in a similar situation to mine! 

The Applied Al and Data Science program was exceptionally well structured and comprehensive, delivering a deep and thoughtfully designed learning experience. The sessions led by MIT professors were particularly valuable, as they helped me understand the origins of key concepts and build strong theoretical foundations, while the weekend classes complemented this by offering detailed explanations, practical insights, and thorough coverage of every concept along with dedicated time to address all questions. Overall, the program provided excellent exposure to data science topics, Python, and Al models through a rich mix of quizzes and hands-on projects. Although the program was intensive and required dedicated weekly effort, it was highly rewarding. My motivation and ability to stay on track were greatly supported by my program coordinator, Karandeep, whose consistent guidance, prompt responses to questions, and help with program management made a significant difference. Completing the program would have been far more challenging without his support-thank you for an outstanding learning experience.

I have completed the 'Applied AI and Data Science Program' of MIT Professional Education in April 2026. Within that program I have gained a deep understanding in Data Analysis and Visualization, Machine Learning, Recommendation Systems, Gen AI (only to name a few topics), and also Python programming is included. During the course three (major) projects need to be completed, and I loved the possibility to either go with a 'full-code' version (more for programmers), or the one that I chose, the 'low-code' version, which also requests a business report. The program is run by Great Learning who provided every support you could imagine: the online sessions with MIT were supported by a Great Learning team member who was screening the chat and answering the participants' questions on the spot. Further, the was very useful information provided via multiple channels (e.g. Olympus Learning Management System, Slack, e-mail) and all sessions were recorded for later review. I would 100% recommend this program looking to level up in the abovementioned topics. Many thanks to all involved MIT professors and Great Learning team members.

 This course delivered exactly what I was looking for: deep technical knowledge combined with practical application. The curriculum provided a solid foundation that allowed me to structure complex end-to-end projects, such as Credit Risk Modeling pipelines and structured data analysis using Python. This ability to translate theoretical Machine Learning concepts, like Random Forest models, into practical solutions for business problems was the key technical differentiator in my interviews. Thanks to the practical portfolio I built during the program, I successfully secured my internship working with financial modeling and analytics. 

The Applied AI and Data Science program was challenging, especially coming back to technical learning after some time away. That said, the structure and support made it possible to work through complex concepts without feeling overwhelmed.The biggest value for me was gaining the confidence to have more informed, meaningful conversations with technical teams. It gave me a much stronger understanding of how data is actually used in decision-making.Overall, a rigorous program that pushes you, but genuinely builds your capability if you stick with it.

Attending the MIT’s PE course in Applied AI and Data Science administered by Great Learning was a highly rewarding experience and one that I would strongly recommend to anyone looking to deepen their understanding of modern AI technologies.One of the most valuable aspects of the program was the strong emphasis on hands-on learning. The courses provided numerous opportunities to actually build and experiment with AI models. This practical exposure helped reinforce the concepts and made it much easier to understand how AI systems work in real-world scenarios.The program also offered broad technical exposure to a wide range of AI tools, frameworks, and concepts.  The program was well structured. Classroom sessions led by experienced professors were complemented by mentoring sessions and revision webinars. Overall, the course strikes a good balance between theory, practical implementation, and guided learning. For professionals looking to transition into AI or strengthen their applied data science capabilities, this program provides a solid and supportive learning environment.

I spent years running small businesses without data or strategy. At 46 I enrolled in this MIT No-Code AI & ML program and it changed everything. The structure is brilliant — week by week, from basics to neural networks. The instructors are world-class. Best investment in myself ever.
