Participating in the AI in Healthcare course at Johns Hopkins University was an enriching and transformative experience that deepened my understanding of how artificial intelligence can advance healthcare delivery, clinical decision-making, and patient outcomes. The course provided valuable insights into the applications of AI, including machine learning, predictive analytics, clinical decision support, and the responsible integration of AI into healthcare systems.
One of the most valuable aspects of the experience was learning to critically evaluate both the opportunities and limitations of AI in clinical practice. The course reinforced the importance of data quality, algorithmic validity, transparency, ethical governance, and human oversight in ensuring that AI technologies support rather than replace clinical judgment.
As a nurse scientist and academic leader, I found the experience particularly relevant to nursing education, oncology research, evidence-based practice, and healthcare innovation. It strengthened my ability to identify opportunities for AI-enabled research, improve clinical and educational workflows, and prepare nurses to practice in an increasingly technology-driven healthcare environment.
Overall, the course strengthened my commitment to advancing responsible, evidence-based AI adoption in healthcare. It also reinforced the importance of interdisciplinary collaboration among clinicians, researchers, educators, informaticians, and technology developers to translate AI innovations into meaningful improvements in patient care, nursing practice, and health system performance.

I am a physician, and I took Course AI in Healthcare with Great Learning/John Hopkins to gain knowledge and understand the basis of AI use in Healthcare. It has been an amazing journey, I have learn a lot. I also appreciate the Great Learning administrative team especially My program supervisor Sneda Gupta who have really been exceptional.
I would recommend the program to anyone interested in upskilling themselves with advancement in AI in the medical field.
