This week marked my first week in this bootcamp, i must say that i did not expected to be so overwhelmed, lots of information and lack of support i can also say. This is the only SE bootcamp I have experienced, so I cannot compare to others, but overall I had a positive experience with Coding Temple. I did the self paced SE program. While learning the core material Coding Temple made some changes to the structure of the teaching, it felt hard to keep up with the changes for a little while, but it seems like the changes are settled down. Katelyn Mehner was a great resource while learning the core material, ready to help with any question you throw at her. The backend specialization was really well organized and well taught by Dylan Katina. The effort that you put in the program is what you'll get out of it and I think that really applies to the self paced course. Coding Temple has all the material, great instructors, career resources and more, if you put in the effort Coding Temple will help you get the most out of the program. Read less

They are always trying to improve, which is great. Things will change often, but if something doesn't work out, they’ll help you go back to the older version. The staff is great and easy to reach.
The core curriculum felt fast-paced and didn’t go very deep into some topics, and it was hard to grasp without a technical background. But overall, I enjoyed the program, especially the backend specialization. They offer other specializations too.
Dylan was the best part of the backend experience. He was always there to help. Any time you had a question, he took the time to explain things clearly and would sit with you to figure out errors. He put real effort into creating a strong curriculum that takes you from zero all the way to deployment. I learned a lot from him, and his teaching made the backend part of the course not just doable but enjoyable.
Michael always helps us get career ready and introduces concepts outside of the curriculum, which is super important for both job applications and understanding real-world systems. He genuinely cares and is always there when you reach out.
Sean supported me from day one, and I owe him. Jessica was really patient and helped me learn how to solve problems when I didn’t know anything.Thank you to all the instructors for trying to help us as much as they can. I haven’t applied for jobs yet, but I’m confident they’ll support me when I do. Staff turnover happens from time to time, which can make things feel a bit uncertain, but I still appreciate the effort everyone puts in to support us. You just need to put some effort in too. Don’t feel shy to reach out for help.Before the program starts, they give you some basic material, which is helpful, but it doesn’t really cover the deeper ideas or explain how things actually work together. Having something that introduces more foundational understanding, not just tools but the ideas behind them, would make a big difference for people coming in with no background.
They used to have advanced problem-solving sessions with tougher challenges that helped build confidence and push us a bit further. Now there are whiteboard sessions, which are good, but I wish there were more chances to watch more difficult problems being solved live, step by step, by experienced people.
If you don’t have a tech background, I’d definitely recommend starting to learn some of the harder or general concepts early. It really helps once the program starts. Read less

I recently completed the part-time, online Software Engineering Bootcamp at Coding Temple, specializing in Front End Development, and overall, I had a positive experience.I chose Coding Temple because of its strong reputation, the included career support, and the flexibility it offered—I needed a program that could fit into my busy schedule while I worked full-time. That said, I want to highlight both the high points and the challenges of my journey.



The instructors were phenomenal.  In particular, I can't say enough good things about Allan Ahmed and Daniel Erazo. Daniel was incredibly helpful—even on weekends—consistently answering questions and offering guidance. Allan was my instructor for most of the Core phase, and again during the Frontend Specialization. He truly went above and beyond—often staying past scheduled Zoom sessions to make sure I understood the objectives and that my code was working properly.  As I was finishing my final project, Allan spent over an hour and a half with me, patiently debugging until everything finally worked. He was always quick to offer encouragement and support.



However, the program did have some rough patches. About halfway through, the structure of the course was significantly changed. As a result, the transition at the end of the Core phase felt disorganized. It became unclear who to turn to for help, and at times, it was extremely difficult to get the support I needed.



Despite the challenges, I successfully earned my Software Engineering Certification and developed a strong foundation in fullstack development. I would definitely recommend Coding Temple to others—but with a word of caution: be prepared for a serious time commitment. Balancing a full-time job and the bootcamp was incredibly demanding. Every spare minute outside of work went toward completing assignments and learning. Read less

My experience during the bootcamp was great, the instructors were all awesome and I had all the support I needed to complete the course. However, once I graduated, I realized that the course material was hardly relevant to the current job market. I was looking for part-time positions, and of the thousands of positions I reviewed online, not one had prerequisites the bootcamp prepared me for. So I couldn't apply to any jobs, and their money-back guarantee is voided if you don't apply to 10 jobs a week. When I asked to receive further instruction, I was told to ask ChatGPT. Also, apparently the vast majority of Coding Temple graduates who have landed jobs already had a bachelor's or master's degree. So probably just get one of those instead, or try a different bootcamp. Overall, I'm happy with my experience learning the material, but not optimistic anything will come of my time here. Don't recommend it.

From the beginning it was alot going on and it seems to never get easier .. the class started late 9pm to 10pm and no real support for black women .. don't value those that need support it's just not there I fell so far behind I had no choice but to drop out NEW MORE DIVERSITY  and support  Read less

No refund and no job and going on a year. Asked about a refund even though we were certain we would not get it and have not heard back. They should not guarantee something unless they back it up and I will tell you my husband was the top of his class and not one person from his class has a job yet. It's almost a year sinse he finished. Read less

I was able to learn new skills that I can actually apply to a real job in such a shorter amount of time than attending a 4 year college program. I increased my salary and had a better work life balance. Coding temple had damaging teachers and career support. Best decision ever.  Read less

I really could write a book about how horrible this bootcamp is (but I'll keep it brief). For one, there is no vetting of the students. The bootcamp will literally will accept anyone, even if he never saw a computer before. One student asked how to add spaces between lines (answer: hit the enter button). It took so long for students to do simple things or understand basic concepts. Instructors were also new to coding, which made the pace of the class so painfully slow. I was hoping that at least the career services would be helpful considering the "Job Guarantee" (tuition refunded after nine months if no job), but the job placement assistance is a total joke. They send bootcamp graduates emails containing severely outdated jobs (several years old in some cases), jobs not at all matching what was taught at all, and jobs that we are completely unqualified for. Also, the Job Guarantee has conditions that are impossible to maintain for nine months. In my cohort's group chat on discord, everyone is saying that they feel like they got scammed/ripped off. None (not even the top student) is anywhere near getting an interview for a coding job, let alone landing one. Read less

To those wondering if they should enroll in Coding Temple, I would recommend it. First and foremost the school is affordable, (not necessarily cheap), but definitely cost effective. I liked that they give an option of how you want to go about your education (I chose the flex-go at your own pace route). The subject matter was for the most part not dificult to understad, hough I had some issues towards the end. I was also impressed by the sheer bulk of additonal resouces provided pertaining to the curriculum. I would rate the school an 8/10.  Again, highly recommended to those looking for a low risk/high reward path into the IT career field. Read less

I graduated from the full time software engineering course about a month ago, and this review has been long overdue. I took the course with Brian and Travis, and had an incredible experience. Brian’s teaching style was very easy to follow and understand, while Travis was incredibly supportive in his role. Whenever I needed help, I knew I could rely on both of them to help. In fact, every member of the staff that I have worked with has been in red generous with their time. I learned more than I could’ve imagined, and I feel that they have prepared me to embark on a new career with confidence.  Read less

I came in with virtually 0 coding experience and was not sure what to expect. The full time course packs a lot of curriculum into 10ish weeks which can be a lot on your plate, especially if you don't have experience, but I think the instructors were very helpful and available and I was pleasantly surprised with how much progress I made in such a little time. I will need to continue to internalize and get deeper into what we learned, but I think expecting to fully learn and master so much information in 10 weeks is unrealistic anyway. The course was informative and I liked how everything came together at the end and I was very happy with it! - The only thing I think could have been better is having more time to learn in more depth but it seems like their career services will take on that journey from here! I loved the flexibility offered by the flex software engineering program. I have a full time job and a family. I couldn't afford to a full time bootcamp and have no income. Coding Temple seemed to offer experience I was looking for and they delivered. The instructors were both empowering and honest. I only wish I was able to attend more of the live sessions because I believe there was valuable information there as well.  Read less

I'll be honest, it had been almost 18 years since I was part of a class where I was a full-time student. This experince through Coding Temple has been quite challenging for me. It is extremely fast paced, with a lot of new information given to you on a daily basis. For someone like me, with absolutely zero experience or knowledge on anything coding related it was a bit overwhelming. Having said that, I have my instructors Ryan and Alex to thank for making this experiance managble. Their combined knowledge, experiance, patience, fun and approchable personalities made it easy to reach out to them whenever necessary. When I first started in 2023 a personal matter kept me from completing my course and I was really concerned for what that could mean. I really appreciated the staff at Coding Temple including my instructors who helped guide and inform me through what my options where at that time. I'm grateful to have had the opportunity of picking up my Sofware Enginnering journey with Ryan and Alex when I was ready to start up again. To my instructors I can't say enough how great you were and how much of a crucial role you played on my journey to completing this bootcamp. Ryan and Alex you both complement each other so well in the classroom, it would be a shame not to have the two of you working together offering that same experience to any future Coding Temple students. The Flex Data Analytics Course was a fantastic course to take with Coding Temple. It is very organized, very descriptive, and allows you to complete the course at your pace and time. I think that this is a good course for all individuals wanting to learning programming languages to manipulate data to create stories and manifest conclusions. I think the instructors at coding temple are very engaging, willing to lend a hand, and are very resourceful to provide extra material to refine skill sets. I would recommend this course to all individuals who want to take the next step in data analytics and develop knowledge in various programming languages.  Read less

I come from zero background in tech, wanting to switch careers from Food & Beverage/Hospitality to Tech. From what I've experienced, if I could go back and start over knowing what I know today.... I would just do Udemy courses, practice coding on Leetcode and Codewars. There's no need to rush to finish a course fast because entry level jobs wants 3-5 years of experience (most of the time) it is something that takes time to be comfortable with. It's a marathon.... be patient, persist and give time to time. Read less

Coding Temple is where you want to go if you want knowledgeable and helpful instructors. They are constantly evolving their curriculum to keep up to date with the ever changing trends. I took the full stack program, the staff is so wonderful and the teachers really care about your success. If you’re a total newbie like I was be prepared to have your mind blown! You will be dreaming in code by the end of the program. There were a couple advanced students in my class and they adjusted the topics so that it was challenging for everyone. If you’re doing full time, be prepared to spend four additional hours outside of school each day if you want to really make the most of this program. There are nightly assignments every night and weekend projects, both solo and group. I met some fantastic people, challenged myself, grew and learned so much. I don’t want to leave the school because they’ve been so great. If you care about your success, go here because they will take you to the next level!! 10/10 recommend, you will only regret it if you don’t put in your all.  Read less
