Students are guided through the course by a team of instructors who are graduates of the bootcamp. <Academia de Código_> describes their teaching methods as "peculiar" and aimed at training students to write clean code.
<Academia de Código_>'s immersive programming bootcamps welcome beginners of all ages (over 18) and backgrounds (degree not needed) as long as they are willing to fully and passionately commit to becoming professional junior software developers within a short period of time. To apply to the bootcamps, prospective students must complete an online computer science 101 course, submit an online form, complete an online JavaScript tutorial, excel in a JavaScript code challenge, and attend online a workshop day that will be similar to the student experience during the bootcamp.
At each campus, different financing/sponsorship solutions are available to help candidates finance the bootcamp. Terms and conditions are listed on the <Academia de Código_> website.
It was a pleasure to be part of this bootcamp! We learned a lot of things, but the most important thing we had experienced was this family! A lot of people that we didn't know and today we are like a real family!
About the bootcamp it self, it teach us how to be focused on a task. How? Leaving us out of our confort zone. Yes, this was a very challenging 14 weeks that maked us stronger than ever.
It was a very exhausting and intensive experience that pays off in the end! Usually people arrive without knowing what they are really getting into. I can tell you, that you are getting into one of the best life and teaching experiences. Not only do they teach you how to code, you make valuable connections and learn life lessons/skills that will help you along your journey. 5*
I was afraid about <A/C_> when I first heard of it. The more I looked, the more I got convinced it was the thing to do, but once I got there all my expectations were exceeded. Expecting it to be some boring classes like every other classes I had taken, it is the polar opposite. You learn by having fun, when you make a question the answer is not immediate, you're pushed to think for yourself and find it. You learn by having fun, when you make a question the answer is not immediate, you're pushed to think for yourself and find it. Apply your new learned skills in small projects every week, and then learn to work as a team with bigger creative projects and a final 24 hour hackathon, which will be unforgettable.
Fourteen weeks that will change your life!
If you ever thought of learning how to program... guess what, THIS IS IT! DONT EVEN DARE TO THINK TWICE! Apply for this experience.. because you probably wont have much of these in your life!
My experience at AC was overall positive. Really a great opportunity if you wanna be a programmer.
A truly amazing experience throughout the entire 14 weeks with outstanding support from all teachers.
Great learning environment with a relaxed yet intuitive & dynamic learning process.
Wouldn't want it any other way!
Cheers for the pioneers and visionaries that made all of this possible!
A very impressive and intensive Bootcamp that promises to give you the best 3 months of your life. Learn many new things and people, you won't forget this experience. Definitely recommend!

I've been working as an IT consultant for the past 2.5 years now!
One of the best decisions I ever took!
I was in a really difficult time and choose this bootcamp as a last shot to start a new career. Some of the reasons that made me choose Academia de Código were (i) the application that already made me learn and feeling that would be possible for me to be a developer if get into it, (ii) the availability of computers on their part, which meant that I did not need to invest in something so expensive at that time and (iii) the financing options. After an immersive and enriching experience, I was looked for by several companies and I went through a unique process in my life that was to choose where I wanted to work. I have won many friends and today I see how right was my choice.
About a couple years ago I threw myself head-first into some kind of crazy idea that consisted in letting go of a steady job of seven years and moving inland without earning any kind of money or having any time for myself during three and a half months to learn how to code in <Academia de Código_>'s bootcamp without any guarantee that I'd have a job in the end. Incredibly it was one of the best decisions in my life and at the same time one of the hardest things I ever did. After a huge breakdown, of suffering a lot looking at a blank screen while it seemed like everyone's fingers around me danced away over their keyboards writing endless lines of code, of several nights leaving the Academia at one in the morning only to return at nine thirty to attend the lectures, of being twenty four hours without sleeping in a Hackathon, of spending less time with my wife in those three and a half months than when we were three hundred kilometers apart, I now got a job in the area, live 5 minutes away from my place of employement and everyday I use my head and learn a little more. And the best thing about all this? This is only the beginning of an awesome, long ride. Thanks to the Academia and everyone in it for the amazing opportunity and making me believe that <Igor>"Só acaba quando termina".</Igor> Onwards and upwards!
