“One of the Most Extensive Programs I Have Experienced”

I attended and graduated from the 24 week Cybersecurity Cohort. The program gets it right, and it is probably better than some of the degree programs I had looked into through the local universities. I am in an IT group on Facebook and a lot of the members stated that the curriculum they get through their degree programs doesn't prepare them because they don't extensively get to participate in hands on labs. The instructors are real world experienced individuals at Claim Academy, and are very knowledgeable. They are truly invested in the success of the students. I have recommended the program to so many of my friends.

“Great experience”

I had a great experience at Code Labs Academy. The cyber security program's instructor was fully invested in our success, and always available to help (including on weekends and evenings). The red teaming part was a bit challenging for me, as I didn't have any experience in coding, but I was able to make great progress by working more. The blue teaming part was easier to understand, and really interesting to me. Their learning platform is top, and it made my learning experience smooth. We had to complete a few projects throughout the course, and even participated in beginner cyber security challenges. Very cool experience!

“Amazing OSCP bootcamp”

Pros: The course was amazing, it created a solid push for me to obtain the OSCP certification. I've acquired new and valuable skills and techniques, which will be surely helpful for me in the future career. Other than that, I've met new friends, who shares the same goals, we talked and shared things with each other, which meant a lot to me. After the course, I felt like my knowledge was strongly consolidated and was ready to tackle the exam. [Update April 2024]: I passed the OSCP with 90 points. Cons: There is one small thing that I'd recommend, is to update the CyberLab platform, I perceived that some of the contents aren't up-to-date. For example, Buffer Overflow has been announced to be removed from the OSCP exam; therefore, it might not relevant unless there is a public exploit available for it. The Control Panel features can be further improved, especially, the search function. I couldn't search for the machine name at the time I did the course. Overall, I'd give a solid 4/5. There is also another giveaway, as always, OSCP is not meant for new comers to penetration testing, as the bootcamp is really intensive, so the amount of knowledge is also huge. Therefore, build a solid foundation in penetration testing before taking the bootcamp so that you can make the most out of it.`

“Not recommended ”

Nobody wants to hire anyone in my class and I'm not surprised.. This class was incredibly rushed and It seemed like the instructor had zero to negative energy when teaching. Nobody wants to hire a fresh cyber security apprentice with no real experience.. But these people make it seem like this "bootcamp" is the way to get to it. Anytime we had intricate questions we were met with the usual "if you want to learn It you have to spend time outside of class learning it" 👍 I would of left a decent review if I had paid 1/10 of what I did. But since I paid what I did.... I can attest this is 100% not worth it. Everything you "get" with this class, you're able to get on the internet for free. Starting with VirtualBox.

“Atrocious, Misleading, Dishonest, Scam”

Right when you sign up for that $12,355 loan, they mention that 80% of cybersecurity jobs require a Bachelor’s degree. You pay for labs that are outdated, not hands on, and study Sec+ material that is very outdated as well. The COMPTIA website has much cheaper options and it’s all updated information from the Cybersecurity community. Tryhackme.com is also $10 a month with real rooms created by coders, programmers and people who are actually in that field not looking for a quick cash grab from their credit unions. Keep in mind, you miss one coach call and they never contact you again. Once you sign up, they never contact you again. They just need you to hit that button and be approved for that loan. You’re on your own from there. Don’t waste your time, energy, money and most of all your hope for a better career.

“Cyber Security Analyst Boot Camp”

The program is challenging, time consuming and very informative, you learn so much and I personally really enjoyed the challenges. They are super good with career support, mock interviews, teaching you how to network, work shopping your resume. They also do a great job at teaching a surface level of a super wide array of cyber skills. 2 things to look out for! 1. It is super hard to start a tech career in Cyber, most cyber positions require at least couple years in IT, like IT Help Desk roles or Sys Admin experience . I do not have IT work experience and am now basically working backwards. 2. Unless you have experience in the tech field, do not expect the "$80,000" a year average TripleTen Graduate salary from the cyber program. After about 40 customized applications and interviews with 4 companies, I landed a full time IT job for $20.00 an hour. Its definitely a stepping stone and I am excited to eventually move into the Cyber Security Field.
