This program is very new, and so I can see a few flaws but this is a really great fit for me. I was extremely nervous about dumping a lot of money in a coding bootcamp, but if you want to get into tech this is definitely worth it. Let me start with my main that I had.

This, along with a lot of other coding bootcamps definitely seemed like a scam to me. For this program, I really wish that they didn't make it feel like such a scam. The whole phone ""interview"" and "You have been ...

Thank you for taking the time to leave such a detailed review! Insights such as these are very useful to future boot camp students. Although our admissions process is designed to be as painless as possible, our programs aren’t open enrollment. Because we want to make sure that students who enroll in our program are properly suited to the demands involved, we do screen our applicants with a coding test and academic interview before they are enrolled into a course.

We’re so glad to hear that you’re having such a positive experience with this program, it’s wonderful that the part-time schedule was manageable with your ongoing career as this schedule was designed for working professionals, just like you.

We’re thrilled that you are enjoying the career services, curriculum, and that you are becoming comfortable coding. It’s wonderful to see our  students develop a passion for programming. As you mention, the in-person classroom experience is an important part of our program and allows for invaluable opportunities to ask questions and collaborate with peers, so it’s excellent that our team has been able to provide you with the guidance and support you need to be successful in this program.

We hope you're proud of all of the hard work you’ve put into this program, and we can’t wait to see where your new skills will take you. We wish you nothing but the best moving forward.

    Great Project Based Learning Environment

The bootcamp is definitely tough and fast pasted, but I think it is a good learning environment. The class is designed so that you learn the basics and then practice using more advanced activities, so a lot of the time is spent actually trying things out on your own. I really enjoy how collaborative my classmates and I have become, and the support I have gotten from my TAs and Instructor.

    UX/UI Bootcamp - Full Time

I decided to pursue a career change to UX/UI to finally pursue a developing passion. I've never been a good student and my disabilities have sometimes made me feel like I couldn't get the education I wanted, something I worried about when starting the program. I switched from art to psychology in college, and after working for five years in the nonprofit mental health/disability accessibility space, I wanted to find a way to further advocate for this community while improving my knowledg...

Due to the pandemic I had some doubts about how a virtual class would go,  as far as learning something I had no experience in.  Anthony and the instructional support team of Mark and Zach proved me wrong, as the classes were incredibly fun and collaborative. Anthony welcomes questions at any times and explains every line of code thoroughly step by step. He, Mark, and Zach go out of their way to answer any questions you may have and are always just a quick slack message away from helpin...

Full-Stack - (TURN and BURN SCHOOL)

I took a lot of time to research the best school for me. I knew, I learn best in person due to my disabilities which I told admissions.  Therefore after vetting several schools near me I decided on UC Irvine because it was the only school offering in person.  Well, that changed due to covid (No Fault of the school). How they handled it is completely their fault.  When I wanted to reschedule my session to the next semester to give myself time to prepare(Their response ...

Thank you for your feedback, Sederick. We regret to hear you were dissatisfied with your boot camp experience.

Like you mentioned, your cohort did experience a disruption due to COVID-19 that resulted in your studies transitioning online for the health and safety of all participants. We do leverage existing technologies and processes to move our courses online efficiently and are confident that our course can be delivered successfully through this virtual format. However, we understand that this unplanned change did require some adjustments and apologize for the inconvenience this has caused.

We want to assure you that our university does have a robust disability accommodation process and procedure and we pride ourselves on making necessary arrangements. Our team truly cares about each individual and we aimed to provide you with further support through extra off-hour assistance from our TAs as well as additional communication and follow-up. At present, all our programs will continue to be held fully online for the health and safety of our learners. We continue to actively monitor the situation in partnership with the UCI Division of Continuing Education and keep our community updated as conditions evolve.

It's our goal for all individuals to complete the program feeling equipped for success, so we would welcome the opportunity to speak with you and determine what additional assistance we can provide for you at this time. If you would like, please reach out to us directly at (949) 214-4016.

Instructor: Anthony Taylor (Data Visualization / Data Science)

I had the pleasure of completing the Data Visualization / Data Analytics Bootcamp at UCI with Anthony Taylor as an instructor. Beyond the course being fantastic and being able to develop a skillset that's served me well, I think one of the distinguishing factors was the quality of instruction from Anthony Taylor as well as the Teaching Assistants (Mark and Kevin) - Anthony was very knowledgeable and with a wealth of industry experience from various companies and consulting roles, as well...

I had a great experience in this bootcamp with support from my instructor, Anthony Taylor and the two TAs Mark Flynn and Kevin Nguyen.
