Nucamp

I chose Nucamp because of the pricing and the online course structure. I’ve completed the Web Development Fundamentals bootcamp, which was a great start for a newbie like myself. It was very much fast-paced. I can honestly say that I’ve learned a lot in a short period of time. The amount of support that one receives when stuck is wonderful. My plan is to continue on to Full Stack coding bootcamp through Nucamp.

This bootcamp offers an introduction to the essentials of web page development –– HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. Although hesitant at first, I am truly glad that I took this course. The curriculum was very well put together and my instructor was very knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful. Will definitely take the more advanced Nucamp courses in the future.

The use current and relevant web technologies that are currently used in the industry .. I appreciate that over the tilt towards theoretical knowledge thought in traditional schools. It is certainly fast paced ,but it goes without saying you have to do the work  and the support system is good

I chose Nucamp for a few reasons:
1: I wanted to learn new programming skills through a class-like presentation.
2: The online portion was something I could easily do where I could live.
3: The price wasn't too high for the course I took compared to alternative camps.

I liked learning common elements, terms, and concepts the most.
The common elements are a place to start of ideas that have commonly been used already and make it easier to imagine how lesser known elements will work.

Nucamp surely is a new platform and it is really well developed. Meaning that the youth of the platform/business is noticeable. I was enrolled in the remote program. The in-person workshops on Saturdays may really make the difference and especially considering the ability to have in-person relationship building through your studies.

The Web Developments Fundamental workshop has been very helpful.  I have learned a lot and appreciate my instructor Jonathan Root for being so patient and helpful with all of the students.  The class was well worth the money.  I didn't know how it was going to not being in a physical classroom, but the Saturday Workshops and the weekly lectures were easy to follow.

I enjoyed the web programming fundamentals course at Nucamp. The instructor was very friendly and did everything he could to make me understand the basics of programming. He didn't mind repeating over and over again just to ensure we were on the right track. The classes are also convenient and affordable; I did not have to quit my job to learn how to code. Can't wait to proceed to the next course in November! 

I chose NuCamp for several big reasons. They have great reviews, classes online and a workshop on Saturdays, but also they were more affordable than the average bootcamp. So, in short, it's affordable, there is a comfortable schedule, and it is still challenging and rewarding. I also loved the instructors I met. All of them are passionate about what they are teaching and that was SO refreshing. I'm already signed up for Fullstack in November. NuCamp actually makes it fun to learn on top of learning a valuable trade.

I chose Nucamp for the value, and the flexibility to work on lessons after work and weekends. The class time and opportunity to ask questions of the teacher in real-time was helpful, and the introductory course acted as a good way to get a feel for the next Full Stack stage. 

This was something different and a lot to take in for 4 weeks. I am very happy that I took the leap for this course. I really want to thank all the members of NuCamp that helped in guiding me and even the students that were knowledgeable helped me as well. It goes to show we are all here to better our futures and careers. I really enjoyed this course. I know there is much more needed to become a great coder and full stacker. Being here has taught me that team work really exists and I am not going to stop here. Thanks NuCamp!

I have taken many computer science/programming courses through continuing ed programs found at colleges and universities, software development schools, etc.  And these are big name outfits like the computer science department at the University of Washington, Bellevue College (Seattle, WA - a tech capital), and leading boot camps like Galvanize. NuCamp is up there with them.

I have only taken the four week intro course in HTML-CSS-JS, but it is a solid 20 hours a week of self study - this is not a class you just walk into - make sure you are ready to commit yourself to the time requirement to study.  You will only get out of it what you put into it.  You will learn the basics, but have a couple projects to upload to your GitHub page that are the results of your hard work. BTW, they show you GitHub, how to use it, how to load your projects, and emphasize the importance of using GigHub, especially in your job search. There are many good things I could say about the school, but if you are looking to find a software intensive, seriously consider NuCamp - and the price is 1/10th of other schools and the quality is just the same. Your instructors will outline the path ahead, teach you the code, etc., etc. Class size is small: my class had four people in it; another class that was meeting had about eight students. I had time to meet and chat with other instructors to learn about key information to help with career development, and the general learning plan when it comes to learning software development. Our class met on Saturday mornings in person, and the instructor made time for one on one if needed.  Would highly encourage anyone considering a software development intensive to consider Nucamp.  I am enrolled in the upcoming 22 week full stack developer course, and am excited to start.
