The material is cheap and boring with a voice that sounds very non excited to teach. I would highly recommend saving your money and teaching yourself on sites that are way more in depth and have way better material. I found myself learning on other sites and attending the Saturday workshops but paying literally just for an instructor and a class because the material was so cheap. It is bad when a boot camps website looks like a toddler designed it. If you are looking to learn I recommend Plural site, Front-end masters and Codecademy. Unless you want to pay top dollar for an instructor and classmates. Which you could just higher an instructor from Fiverr. I think their...I started by learning how to code on my own but was having difficulty setting up my own structured path to becoming a developer. I searched many different boot camps but what ultimately led me to choose Nucamp was their affordability. I think their prices are very reasonable. I took their Web Fundamentals course to start off. I think they can improve their instructional videos by giving clearer examples of the material you are learning and by having someone one who is more energetic and less monotone narrate the course. You study throughout the week and meet virtually on Saturdays for about 4 hours with your actual instructor. I found the Saturday classes to be too short and the instructor seemed rushed to get through the course review. If they can instead take the classes to 6 hours I think that would help. They do provide plenty of external resources to help you find information including Slack which connects you with people who can help with any questions you have. One last thing was that their course felt way too fast paced but that may just have been me and also their Web Fundamentals course is only 1 month long. I think it would be better for the student if it was at least 2 months long (ideally 3 months). Overall I did enjoy the course and as long as you put in the effort everyday and commit to at least 3-4 hours of studying per day I think you should be fine. It's worth it. If you have anything scheduled for Saturday mornings for 4 hours such as work or other commitments, then you need to find a workaround to be able to join the workshops. But other than that I'd definitely recommend Nucamp to anyone looking to join a bootcamp. The price is very doable compared to these other bootcamps if you're not willing to invest so much money, and yet I still feel that I received the same amount of instruction and knowledge as I would have at the more expensive bootcamps. This is self-paced with Saturday meetings/workshop with your cohert, which worked best since I have a full-time job. My instructor Gary was super outgoing, knowledgeable, and able to answer any questions we had during the week to help us with our assignments.
