Selama mengikuti bootcamp Hacktiv8 selama 4 bulan, saya mendapatkan pengalaman belajar yang sangat berharga. Materi disusun secara terstruktur, mentor kompeten dan selalu siap membantu ketika mengalami kesulitan. Proyek yang dikerjakan relevan dengan kebutuhan industri sehingga membantu meningkatkan kemampuan teknis sekaligus problem solving. Selain hard skill, saya juga belajar bekerja sama dalam tim, berkomunikasi secara efektif, dan mengelola waktu dengan baik. Secara keseluruhan, bootcamp ini memberikan bekal yang sangat bermanfaat untuk mempersiapkan diri menghadapi dunia kerja di bidang teknologi.

It was an incredible experience participating in the intensive bootcamp program at Hacktiv8! The pace of learning is fast, with brain-teasing coding challenges, but it’s precisely this kind of system that helps us hone our skills to the fullest. The full-stack curriculum is highly practical for real-world projects, and the instructors are incredibly supportive when we hit a logical roadblock while coding. It’s truly the best place to build both mental resilience and technical skills before entering the professional workforce. It’s absolutely worth every minute of time and effort invested!

They also help you get a career in tech from their hiring partners in their full-time career services. I'm currently enrolled in the full-time career services and looking forward to getting a job.

 My experience at Hacktiv8 was intense but really worth it. The deadlines were tight and we had to learn new material almost every day, which pushed me to stay focused and manage my time better. It wasn’t easy, but it trained me to be more effective and efficient when studying and working on assignments. I also liked how we didn’t just learn theory but we practiced it right away through real tasks and projects. On top of that, I got to meet a lot of supportive friends who were going through the same journey, and that made the whole experience feel less stressful and more motivating. 

Joining Hacktiv8 has been a challenging but very rewarding journey for me. Coming from a non-tech background, I experienced significant growth as I was pushed to learn something new every single day, from basic concepts to building real applications. The program is intense and fast-paced, which sometimes feels overwhelming, but it helped me build strong problem-solving skills and discipline. The interactive learning environment with instructors and peers also made a big difference in keeping me motivated and supported throughout the process. Looking back, I can clearly see how much I’ve improved, and it truly feels like a worthwhile investment for my career transition into tech.

This bootcamp was intense and challenging, but I successfully made it through to graduation. It is a great program not only for career switchers, but also for IT fresh graduates like me who want to strengthen their practical software engineering skills, especially in backend development.At first, I doubted that a short bootcamp could truly prepare me for real backend work. The experience was demanding—I faced many tricky bugs, spent late nights debugging, and had to keep up with a very dense and fast-paced curriculum. The instructors pushed us to solve problems properly instead of taking shortcuts, which helped me develop stronger technical problem-solving skills.Throughout the bootcamp, I learned how to build and run simple microservices, connect them to databases, and integrate APIs into real backend projects. If you want hands-on backend experience and are ready to handle pressure with determination, this bootcamp is a valuable way to gain practical, real-world skills.

I was always worried when i first join this bootcamp whether I would get my money's worth, and after finishing it I can wholeheartedly say that it was worth it. The one thing that surprise me the most about this bootcamp is the curriculum and how new it is, most of the stuff that we learn are thing that are relevant to the current tech world. Yes sometimes the lecture can feel a bit quick, but the amount of things that you learn in such a short period of time is worth it.

 Coming from an IT and Computer Science background, joining Hacktiv8’s Full Stack JavaScript program still felt like taking a major leap. Even with my technical foundation, I started almost from zero in real-world web development. The program pushed me far beyond theory — I built hands-on projects, learned industry-level tools, and developed practical skills that I had never touched before. The process was challenging, intense, and fast-paced, but incredibly rewarding. Looking back, this experience didn’t just improve my abilities; it transformed me into someone far more confident, capable, and ready to grow in the tech industry 

At first I doubted a short bootcamp could make me ready for real backend work. It was tough, I hit a lot of tricky bugs and spent many late nights fixing them. If you want practical backend skills and are switching careers into backend, it works, especially if you can handle the pressure.

It’s definitely not easy, and you really have to go all in, but in the end I left with real skills, new friends, and a lot more confidence to start out in tech. Honestly, I wouldn’t trade this experience for anything.

But if you come in with strong determination and a willingness to grow, you’ll find yourself achieving things you didn’t think were possible.I personally experienced this transformation. The bootcamp taught me not just technical skills, but also how to think like a problem-solver, communicate effectively, and stay resilient through tough deadlines. Not only it teaches you the basic fundamentals of web development, it also pushes you to create a "real-world" application that could have an impact and also how would you monetize said application you build by making you think "How can I make money out of this project".
Makes you think there's more to it than just coding but also the impact of software engineering on the current and also future aspects.
Is it worth it? Absolutely, but you have to dedicate your time fully in completing this as it demands a lot of your time and effort.

I found Hacktiv8 to be a demanding bootcamp that really challenges you to grow as a developer. The curriculum is intensive and well-structured, covering both backend and frontend development with many hands-on projects that simulate real industry work. Instructor support is excellent, always ready to help you when you’re stuck or need feedback. The fast pace and heavy workload require strong discipline and a willingness to keep practicing outside of class hours. It’s definitely not an easy journey, but if you stay committed, Hacktiv8 gives you valuable practical experience, a supportive learning environment, and the confidence to take your skills to the next level in tech.

At first, I doubt that Hacktiv8 could help me land a dream role in Indonesia, which is a remote high paying job. That doubt quickly vanish when I excelled within the course that i took and actually see the relevance of what i am learning to the industry. It helps me prepare for ALL sort of roles that Indonesia have in store for us Graduates, which is very crucial for us to prepare for which highlights strong adaptability and grit. In all of the programs that I took - both FERN and FTGO (both of which are remote) - I received Teachers Awards for my dedication and focus and wouldn't have to wait long until i land most jobs from the job portal that they offer. I totally recommend this bootcamp to all the jobseekers out there who's struggling to find work. If you put in enough effort and dedication, those roles will come at you in no time.

I recently completed a Data Analyst bootcamp, and it was such a valuable experience. The program was well-structured, comprehensive, and provided a strong balance between theory and hands-on practice. I truly enjoyed the learning process and found the materials, mentors, and collaborative projects very insightful.Overall, the bootcamp was not only enjoyable but also highly beneficial in enhancing my data analytics skills. Hacktiv8’s full-time bootcamp fits me the best. As someone who just graduated high school and decided to get into the tech industry, Hacktiv8 is the perfect answer. There are no wasted days, every day here means learning new things. We are strongly encouraged to be very agile with changes as new material comes in every day. We don’t just learn theories; instead, we are trained to work hands-on with real-case projects. All the instructors are truly the best in their fields. To support our learning experience, Hacktiv8 also provides us with a Career Team and Counselor who help us leverage ourselves.

Saya mengikuti program Full Stack JavaScript Immersive dan lulus pada tahun 2025. Kurikulumnya sangat intensif tapi terstruktur dengan baik — mencakup dasar-dasar HTML, CSS, JavaScript, hingga teknologi modern seperti React, Express.js, PostgreSQL, Next.js, dan TypeScript. Selain kemampuan teknis, Hacktiv8 juga sangat menekankan pada soft skill, pair programming, clean code, dan metode kerja agile — mirip dengan lingkungan kerja profesional di industri teknologi.Hal yang paling berkesan bagi saya adalah pengalaman membangun real project secara kolaboratif dengan tim. Kami menerapkan alur kerja nyata seperti daily standup, code review, dan version control menggunakan GitHub. Ini membuat saya jauh lebih siap untuk bekerja di tim developer sesungguhnya.Instruktur dan tim pengajarnya sangat suportif, sabar, dan berpengalaman. Mereka selalu siap membantu, bahkan di luar jam pelajaran. Selain itu, tim career support-nya juga sangat membantu dalam menyusun CV, melakukan mock interview, dan memberikan arahan untuk mencari kerja setelah lulus.

I learned not just the Go programming language, but also how to use its ecosystem of tools effectively to build backend systems — including APIs, microservices, testing, documentation, and cloud deployment.More importantly, I learned how to think and act like a professional developer. The bootcamp taught me how to approach problems systematically, write clean and maintainable code, and take full responsibility for my work. I also gained valuable experience working in teams, collaborating on real-world projects, and even stepping up as a team leader.

But here's the truth: you must already have some background or basic knowledge in the field. Without it, the fast-paced curriculum can feel overwhelming. I gained real-world experience, built projects, worked with a team, and now I’m confidently stepping into my new role as a Full-stack Developer. 

My experience at Hacktiv8’s Golang bootcamp was transformative. The curriculum is well-structured, starting from basic syntax to advanced concepts like concurrency, gRPC, and Docker. The instructors are experienced and approachable, ensuring that each topic is clear. The hands-on projects helped solidify my understanding of Go, databases, and API development. I left the program feeling confident to build production-ready applications. Highly recommend for anyone aiming to become a proficient backend developer.

Joining Hacktiv8 Bootcamp was a major turning point in my career. I transitioned from working as an IT staff to becoming a Frontend Developer, and the bootcamp played a crucial role in making that shift possible. Before enrolling, I didn’t like JavaScript and struggled to understand it. But since JavaScript was a core part of the bootcamp curriculum, I had no choice but to learn it. Surprisingly, what I once thought was difficult became the programming language I’m now most confident with.

My main goal in joining Hacktiv8 was to learn technologies that are relevant to the current job market, and it truly paid off. What I learned during the program has been directly applicable in my current job. I now work extensively in frontend, backend, and even mobile development—especially using React, TypeScript, and Next.js. These are the technologies I use daily to build medium to large-scale applications, often structured with microservices architecture and complex integrations between frontend and multiple backend services.

Advice for future students:
I highly recommend having some basic understanding of the key concepts and technologies before joining the bootcamp. Even if you're not proficient, being familiar with programming fundamentals, SQL databases, REST APIs, and GraphQL will help a lot. It’ll make it easier to grasp the concepts during the bootcamp and allow you to focus more on applying them effectively.

Hacktiv8 helped me build a solid foundation and gave me the confidence to grow as a developer. It’s intense, but if you’re serious about switching careers into tech, it’s definitely worth it.

I would say that if you want to join a bootcamp at Hacktiv8, you should have at least a little experience in the field you choose. This is because many people forget (or are not aware of) what a "bootcamp" truly is. A bootcamp is an intensive, short-term training program focused on quickly developing specific skills. You must be committed and have extra stamina for the sprints. We cannot ignore the fact that many people have fallen in the middle of the battle.

While the focus is on JavaScript, what truly makes the learning experience powerful is how you're taught to approach new technologies. From building strong fundamental logic to developing real-world applications, both individually and in teams, the program simulates what it’s like to work in the actual tech industry. We also learn how to read documentation, evaluate when and how to use different tools, then make technical decisions with confidence. Even if a specific tech stack isn’t covered in the curriculum, they taught us with the mindset and skills to pick it up on our own, efficiently and responsibly.In short, Hacktiv8 doesn’t just teach you how to code — it teaches you how to keep learning, which is arguably the most important skill any developer can have.

As a graduate of the Full-stack JavaScript Immersive bootcamp, which I completed remotely from Tangerang, I made a switch from a UI/UX background to become a Full-stack Developer. I want to share my honest experience to help prospective students make an informed decision. This full-time program focused on equipping us with the skills to become a well-rounded Full-stack Developer.

What truly set this bootcamp apart was its teaching methodology, perfectly aligned with current industry demands. The instructors were incredibly knowledgeable and always willing to go the extra mile to explain complex concepts, ensuring we grasped everything thoroughly. The curriculum was well-structured, starting with fundamental JavaScript and progressively moving into advanced topics like React, Next.js, Node.js, and databases such as PostgreSQL and MongoDB. We even covered React Native for mobile development. I particularly appreciated the hands-on, project-based learning approach, where several projects were completed both individually and in teams, which allowed us to build multiple full-stack applications from scratch, truly preparing us for real-world scenarios. We received excellent training and guidance from mentors, and the remote environment was seamlessly managed with effective online collaboration tools and consistent support.

Beyond just coding, the bootcamp also provided consultations with a psychology mentor who taught us to build mental resilience and improve our public speaking skills, an invaluable aspect for professional self-development. The program also trained us to work quickly and meet deadlines without sacrificing performance, a crucial skill in the tech industry. We were constantly challenged to optimize our code and deliver high-quality work under pressure, simulating a professional development environment. The career support, including resume workshops and mock interviews, was also extremely beneficial. Thanks to Hacktiv8's recommendations, I successfully secured a job immediately after graduation, which speaks volumes about their strong industry connections and the quality of their graduates. I'm incredibly grateful to have found this job that aligns with my expectations, and I'm very enthusiastic about it!

While the pace was intense, as expected in an immersive bootcamp, I felt that some topics could have been given a bit more dedicated time. Perhaps offering optional advanced workshops on specific niche technologies would further enhance the learning. For some learning materials not directly covered in class, we were encouraged to study them independently (self-paced learning). If we ever encountered difficulties, we could always consult with our mentors.

Overall, I would highly recommend this bootcamp to anyone serious about transitioning into a full-stack development career, especially for those considering a remote learning path or a career switch. It's a challenging but incredibly rewarding experience that provides a solid foundation and practical skills needed to thrive in the industry.
