Completing this Data Science Program was challenging yet so rewarding.  My cohort began in February and ended in October.  
I'm transitioning careers after being a Math Educator for 15 years and was new into the world of Data Science and Programming so it was definitely an adjustment.  The videos/curriculum and weekly zoom meetings with our mentor were really beneficial through out the course of the program.  I was able to successfully apply what I was learning to monthly hands-on projects that gave me field experience to build my portfolio as I transition careers. I'm wrapping up the University of Texas McCombs School of Business/Great Learning certificate program in artificial intelligence and machine learning, and had a fantastic experience with this program! I went looking for an AI certificate program in the midst of a career pivot, with no prior computer science experience or intensive math experience since high school many years ago. I was attracted to this program because it wasn't as expensive as AI programs offered by other schools, because the 7-month timeline felt like a good balance between providing enough time to cover the material without having to wait too long for completion, and because it offered some career resource tools like career guidance and resume reviews. This program delivered! The learning curve was steep at the beginning as can be expected, but I found that the lectures and weekly live sessions did a great job at making the material understandable-- even without recent computer science or math experience. My live session mentor and program mentor were very friendly and eager to help, and really went out of their way to make sure I felt comfortable with the material. Now that it's wrapped up, I feel confident making the pivot into the AI/ML field, even as it continues to evolve. I would definitely recommend this program! Read less

I feel the course syllabus or content is pretty old dated, the timelines are tight to make us feel that the course is taught at a good pace and curriculum is rigorous, I understood this when I came out of the busy schedule of the program. But I personally feel, latest concepts in AIML are not being taught and still feel like lagging behind, I understand that they were not part of the curriculum. AIML is not my primary skill area, so I may sound odd. Read less
