This review is for the Post Graduate Program in Data Science and Business Analytics offered by Great Learning in collaboration with The University of Texas McCombs in Austin.


I love learning and getting more knowledge to always be at top of technology, I would say that I´m a Datanout and Tech addict!

And wow! The Post Graduate Program in Data Science and Business Analytics, has definitely been one of the most exciting and well-prepared course I have ever taken, from the videos, lectures, material and live classes, just from top to bottom it has really helped me to understand data in a very different way and I love it!!



I truly appreciate the tons of support from the Program Manager (V.), she has been wonderful in helping me on many occasions and best of all, she has a truly human sense of what exactly we need now at days.



I also would like to thank the professors who really spent lots of hours putting this great course together. It was a great journey and I still want to go for more!

Very rigorous curriculum with applicable case studies and practical programming assignments that are applicable to real world business scenarios and data science projects. Recently, I completed Post Graduate Program in Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning (PGP-AIML) offered by Great Learning in collaboration with McCombs School of Business, The University of Texas at Austin. 

I have spent considerable time in the IT industry covering many areas including development, operations, Data Ops, CyberSecurity, cloud engineering, project/program/portfolio management and leading teams. One area that was new to me, was AI/ML. I was expecting it to be a breeze, but this program reinforced the saying "more you learn, you realize how little you know". It was a rollercoaster, started off easy, but went through a whirlwind of different topics such as supervised learning (Regression, Classification), Unsupervised learning,  Ensemble techniques, Feature Selection, Model Selection and Model tuning, Neural Network, Computer Vision and Natural language Processing (NLP).
It was lot more advanced, more easier to consume, and much more democratized than the esoteric neural network introductions that I took in college, years ago. 

Greats:
1) the instruction videos were bite sized..easy to consume, understand.
2) the professors/instructors were amazing..they know the stuff and they explain in such a way that its easy to understand. I still had to watch many videos multiple times to understand brand new concepts.
3) MLS (Mentored learning sessions) were the most beneficial. They were interactive, conversational, and gave me an opportunity to get into details with the mentor on a specific topic. 
4) Satish babu was amazing, passionate and knowledgeable. He really was into it, and if you ever get into one of his classes you are lucky.
5) Asghar Mohammadi was great as well, logical, and taught at a pace that was great for me.
6) Awesome program manager Sakshi Sharma, who was willing to answer any questions and help out.
7) There are options for mentoring sessions, which is good for beginners in this field. 

Looking back, it was a roller coaster indeed. One thing I would advise is get your time planned and scheduled throughly, and follow through, otherwise you can be under pressure from project deadlines, and they dont extend it no matter what.  I enjoyed the program, even though I hated the deadlines :-). I would recommend this for anyone who is serious about a career in Data Science, AI/ML.  Read less

Simple put, the most profound learning journey I have been a part of. It has transformed the way I think about, view, and solve complex cases. Although, I had to take a break during my path to completion. It was the support and encouragement from Sakshi and the Great Learning community to to get back on track to completion with a new cohort. This program has given me a new perspective on what the education process can be and I will recommend it to everyone when speaking about the critical role Great Learning and associated Universities (UT-Austin) are doing in enlightening current and future believers the world can be a wonderful place.

This was a collaborative course from the folks at Great Learning and UT Austin McComb's School of Business. The course covers Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning and specifically how Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning are applied in Business. Some of the topics covered included predictive modeling, supervised and unsupervised learning, computer vision, natural language processing, ensemble techniques, neural networks, and deep learning.

For me, this course was VERY difficult. Ten years after graduate school, I assumed it would be an easy refresher course; oh how I was wrong! This is a demanding course, and I didn't think I was going to make it through, but I did. The folks at Great Learning went above and beyond  their teaching requirements to see that I was given every possible opportunity to maximize my learning and get all that I could out of the course.

We attended class weekly, where questions were asked and our instructor kept on track. The instructor (Ms. Bridget Huang-Gregor) was great. Eminating ample amounts of industry knowledge, Ms.Huang-Gregor was easy to understand, her speech was clear, and she made sure the entire class understood the concept at hand before continuing on to the next topic. I worked along side other classmates, as well as had the opportunity to participate in a few hackathons. A crash-course in Python is included. There is a lot of material to learn in a short amount of time, you will have to put in adequate project time. 

Get ready to experience some mind-bending algorithms. and take your learning to the next level with help from this course. Read less

This was an incredible experience, I started as novice in Python and ended up with solid confidence in building various models in python. The program provided rapid introduction to Python pre-work, and AIML and then in a very structured manner covered many topics that included Supervised Learning (Regression, Classification), Unsupervised learning, Model Selection and Model tuning, Neural Network, Computer Vision, Ensemble techniques, Feature Selection, Natural language Processing (NLP), and Model deployment.                     

                       The faculty is of top notch comparable to the best colleges gave solid orientation  in statistics and practical approach to modeling. The program is composed of video lectures, presentation notes, ppts, many quizzes, and hands on homework and finally each unit has a project as a deliverable. Each week there is a 2-hour mentor session with the group and gave feeling as good as a campus classroom. Our mentor Ms. Bridget Huang-Gregor was amazing in sharing her knowledge and industry experience throughout the program. Great Learning collaborate with “Program Manager” who is the Dumbledore phoenix she is one point contact for the course cutting all the red tap she can address all your needs. I have to name Ms. Sakshi Sharma (PM), who was always prompt and extremely helpful throughout the program. When I was fluttering with the course, she put me in the correct course of direct, which helped me to actually finish this source by participating in each and every assignments and important milestones. I am all excited to explore new horizons. 

True to its name “Great-Learning” continues to provide additional resources for learning - such as free “UT Austin Seminar” to its learners even after the program is over. This is a great program, rarely do I write reviews. This program has helped me to learn so much and I am thoroughly impressed with the content, faculty, system and support - all facets of the program are 5 stars!

Faculty: World class in terms of explaining concepts and material. They are very patient to explain advanced concepts to people who are not familiar with the subject and ensure that we understand. Ms. Kamakshi and Mr.Sathish are great teachers.

Material: The lesson videos and the lectures go great together - I must commend the video material they are very useful to replay and follow the material. Great industry projects on healthcare, finance, retail, real estate, market analysis - these projects ensure that they equip you well no matter your background.

Support Staff: This is a great team and they are a great support to help explain any concepts, help along on the project to trouble shoot if there is any need. Very responsive, professional and supportive. Every support staff that I have interacted were very professional and would like to thank Ms.Sakshi for her infinite patience and support in lesson followups and project questions.

A well thought out curriculum, system and execution. If you are passionate about these subjects - this cannot get any better for working class professionals.

The mentor sessions were extremely helpful, and our mentor Ms. Bridget Huang-Gregor was amazing in sharing her knowledge and industry experience throughout the program. Great Learning also provided a “Program Manager” who tends to individual and group needs. Thanks to my program manager Ms. Sakshi Sharma, who was always prompt and extremely helpful throughout the program. With my domain expertise in pharma and newly acquired skills in AIML, I am all excited to explore new horizons. True to its name “Great-Learning” continues to provide additional resources for learning - such as free “UT Austin Seminar” to its learners even after the program is over. “Data Science and Machine Learning: Making Data-Driven Decisions” provided by “Great Learning” and “MIT-IDSS” is a journey in itself. It is an incredible experience of ten weeks with honest and disciplined learning. I have done many online programs during the last two years, but I genuinely agreed with the fact that this program is different in itself. The program material, level of quizzes, project work all were designed considering one’s learning speed, workload, and capacity to achieve. The best part was that I learned Python programming during the pre-course work, which helped me to understand data visualization techniques and their applications in building Machine Learning (ML) models. We learners also got a chance to connect with other enthusiastic people across the globe during the mentor sessions of the program. It was indeed a great practice knowing how people are evolving themselves in the world of data science. Thanks to wonderful mentors, who provided generous support throughout the program. I must insist on people taking this program and have faith in “Great Learning”. Excellent Program - Stanford Advanced Cybersecurity Program
I took the Advanced Cybersecurity Program and it was excellent. The lectures and the mentored sessions were really top notch. By the end of the course, I had a total theoretical and practical understanding of cybersecurity.

I took the Stanford Advanced Cybersecurity Program with Great Learning. The program was excellent. It is very comprehensive. The professors and speakers are the best in the field and industry. Great Learning provides mentor sessions which are very helpful.  The program and project management support at Great Learning really were very responsive and very helpful. I learned a great deal about Cyber Security both in breadth as well as in depth. It is not an easy program and that's what makes it so valuable in terms of learning as well as a credential.  If you study you will make it through the program.  I highly recommend this program to anyone who wants to learn about cybersecurity.  Read less

Joining this course in one of my best decision's in my life. I was skeptical and have put lot of thought into it before joining. The course is structured very  well and is very methodical. All the mentors in the group are very experienced and best in the industry.
            All my doubts were answered just but raising a help desk ticket. The quizzes and projects were organized to meet industry standards and it helped me connect all the dots with every project. 
      The support I received during the course by my program coordinator was awesome. It was a real blessing to have him as my coordinator. He was very understanding and supportive of all my decisions.

The course is structured in such a way that a learner comes across each concept several times. A learner first sees the pre-recorded videos from each module from MIT professors. Then they go through additional reading materials. By this time, a learner already has a good grasp of the newly learned concept before attending the live private mentor learning session. Here the mentor goes through the concepts once more in-depth and clears the doubts. Another optional mentor learning session takes place where the mentor explains a real live project and how that is solved. Then finally, another round of study of the quiz.
I can not remember any time of my life before, where I learned so so much in a short period of time. If anyone likes to get holds on the machine learning topic very fast and effectively, this is the right place. This course is expensive but totally worth it. Read less

There are courses and then there is DSML by Great Learning/MIT. This one is guaranteed to exceed your expectations from the scope of content covered, the depth of content in every week, and hands-on coding, the theory covered by MIT professors, support from actual data-scientists and always supported by great Program Managers. The course instructors are always available to go into depth on any topic of your choice and cover the details from their experiences. It was fun to dig into code again after many years. This course is better than reading 10 fluffy books, blogs on various DSML topics or other off-the-shelf courses. Mind you, it is intense, not at all easy, and lasts 3 months long - Looking forward to be done after this weekend! Read less

The program delivery is awesome and easily understoodable especially for persons without any prior knowledge on programming or statistics, but with passion and commitment goals can be achieved. Before making my final decision to enroll in the post-graduate program - data science and business analytics with great learning, I did further research and linked the expected outcomes to my career and how possible that it could make a positive impact in the way I can deliver work to my clients.

No doubt that I found the program difficult in the beginning as I don’t have a programming background, we reached a point during the journey where I found it very difficult to cope with my learner colleagues, but I was very determined to continue the journey and progress in the program because I believed the expected outcomes exceed my expectations and found the program very helpful in my career progression in all means.

Though it was a very challenging journey, it was worth it. I found how powerful is the programming in revealing business issues and representing them visually in a very attractive dashboard. The value of this program is countless! Read less

This program is a very good one, I recommend it. The courses are very complete with bith theory and practice. Of course, practice is at the center of it with cases for each course. This is challenging but fruitfull. 
This program confirm my choices to became a DataScientist.
