The course was definitely different from what I was expecting at first applying for a PG in UT, but I really enjoyed all the foundational, statistical piece, you don’t learn just how to code, you understand the reasoning behind and that helps you making the right decisions and choosing the best methodology to apply to each case. Very hands on. Also Great Learning platform is very well thought and the course very well structured.
The tests every week can be overwhelming, specially for those with full time jobs, family, and all these virus going around, but lucky I had an amazing support from my Program Manager, Arghya Pal, that helped me to stay on track, I would not have made it whiteout his guidance and empathy. I’m not a person used to asking for help, and he made a plan for me when he noticed I was struggling, that made all the difference. Huge thank you, Arghya!
I would recommend the course, very interesting content, although carefully consider the time investment. It is demanding, but worth it. Read less

Based on my friend’s recommendation I made up my mind to enroll in Great Learning and Texas McCombs School of Business for PG Program in Data Science and Business Analytics for Machine learning online course. I was skeptical entering into a learning program after a huge gap since I graduated.

The most important and fruitful experience was a smooth transition into the studying journey as the course design was very structured and kept me on my toes to complete the course as per the plan. The course content was meticulously designed and provided equipoise between concepts, mentoring sessions and practice.

The course was very well organized and program management support provided by Amit was exceptional. He has been the POC for all the course related support. His responsiveness, constant support, follow ups on any issues and proving clear answers and keeping the communication channels open  has been excellent. In the online mode of learning , only having good curriculum and instructors is not enough as there is a strong need for a POC through out  the course to discuss, resolve any issues. I have learned a great deal in the course. The videos in the Great Learning website are very helpful, especially the quiz following the videos.  The concept session and hands-on session during the weekend provide me a great opportunity to ask questions. These questions are addressed very and further material is provided for me to dig deeper into it. The personal (Sumit) from the Great Leaning follows progress all the way and at each time step.  The email reminders are very helpful too. These python notebook files and datasets  from the course are very useful and they are easily adapted to analyze my own problem.  In fact I have used the notebook files from the  regression part to build models to predict renewable energy power generation from weather forecasting.  Overall, it a great learning experience and will be helpful for future career.  Thanks for  Sumit,  Reza and Vanessa for your help.  Read less

I have successfully completed the Data Science and Machine Learning: Making Data - Driven Decisions with MIT and Great Learning. It was an amazing journey of learning. Though hectic, it is worth taking the course to get to know significant concepts of data science and machine learning and how to apply to real world problems. Mentoring sessions are highly beneficial giving overall idea of different topics and clear guidelines. Course materials are valuable and can be referred throughout. I enrolled in the online Data Science & Machine Learning - Making Data Driven Decisions Course of MIT DSML, conducted in partnership with Great Learning this March 2022. I am an IT professional with nearly 24years in FinTech domain, having worked in India, UK and in the US currently. This course is truly one of "The Best" I attended, and I definitely recommend it to DS & ML "newbies" like myself as well as to those who wish to gain a more in-depth knowledge and hands-on experience.

Initially I was truly apprehensive considering the Stats portion of the course. But the Pre-Work in both - Python and Statistics, really helped. Of course, the numerous video lectures, each followed by a tiny Quiz testing the understanding, along with the weekly Saturday "Theory lectures" and Sunday "Hands-on" sessions conducted by experienced teaching staff, were excellent and helped to gain practical skill required in today's IT industry across various domains. Apart from this, all queries &/ doubts raised by the cohort, were immediately addressed by the staff as also any issue faced while installing the software &/ attempting the Projects. The Projects in the course not only covered the core of the course, but also extended to mimic a real-life scenario.

To summarize, I would really like to thank the Great Learning Team for the course delivery by excellent experienced teaching staff and for handling well all the related aspects of an easy enrollment & rendering of quick help to the students via the message board.  Far exceeded my expectations; a "Definite Recommend" . When I began I was skeptical on how the program will be structured and how can I manage it with full time work as well as personal responsibilities. Also, re-engaging into an intensive acdemia after such a long gap seemed daunting. But right from enrolling, the GL team clarified each of my queries with patience. Once the course started, the first 6 - 8 weeks were daunting but again support of GL Program Management team was paramount. The lecturers are very experienced, the lectures are structured and delivered very well to clear the basic concepts for a beginner as well. I have become a fan of Dr. Nirmallya Mukherjee and his way of teaching :) The projects are spaced well and support is great in case you get stuck somewhere. GL PG course is not designed to make you an expert but it definitely will get you started on a strong footing for your cloud journey !
