I love the Great Learning experience! The structure of the course and the way it’s delivered is ideal for those who want to learn, but still have busy lives. The on demand self-paced courses delivered on combination with mentored sessions, and industry experience not only facilitates learning, but also ensures professionals can apply what they learned to real business problems. There is an extremely supportive program office, who are quick to answer questions, and knowledgeable instructors! I highly recommend this course and will be looking for more in the future! This is my third course with great learning’s way of learning which I believe is awesome. In addition to recorded lectures, their way of periodic mentored learning sessions, through tremendously capable industry people in addition to recorded courses is very very helpful and provides a platform where students can interact to clear any doubts and enhance learning. Additionally, supported project work cement the concepts so that they stay with the learner for a long time.  Just the fact that I am at my third consecutive course with the team is a testament itself of how valuable I have found Great Learning’s way of transferring knowledge. I enrolled in the course during the pandemic period to learn about data science which is emerging in recent periods. In the initial stage of the program concentrate on the basics of python programming.
The program supporting teams and curriculum is designed to keep up the phase throughout the course, especially during the project discussion forum helps in clarifying the doubts and motivated to complete it on time.
Mentor learning sessions are good if you get a knowledgeable person. It tops up the subject knowledge which you learned during that week’s lectures and videos. It is one of the major pros of this program.
The cons of this program are they have to improve their notes and lecture videos in the initial modules to enable the students to understand better about the concept who are new to programming and data science.
The portal which they are using should be user-friendly and interactive. Overall it is a very good course who is aspiring to become a Data Scientist.

It was a very great experience for me during the 10 weeks that i took part in the Data Science and Machine Learning course: Making Data driven Decisions with MIT-IDSS. For a beginner like myself, i found the structure of the curriculum very grounded and suitable for me to follow along. The faculty and mostly the great learning team were very helpful and along every step of the way.

I found the experience and support very exiting that i have enrolled in the PDG-Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning by Great Learning and UT Austin Texas. The level of support from all the great learning team is just as great as i expected.

The online videos plus weekend mentor session model works very well. The weekly quizzes and projects keep us on our toes! Helped me pick up python fast and effectively starting from the basics and elaborated to apply the analysis of data for business purposes. 

Assignments and references help you counter reference the entire moduel to help learn efficiently, clear doubts and answer questions. Well formatted course to help guide your learning journey. 

Videos are also very in depth explanitory with intelligent teachers who have alot of wisdom who teach to apply real life situations in real life work examples using data science and bussiness analytics. 

The weekly zoom cohorts are fun and interactive with the teacher showing multiple methods in depth and clearing doubts/questions. Reza Nickmanesh is an excellent teacher and answers questions accurately and explains why. 

Excellent staff that ensure you are on track to passing. They also make sure you are using the platform to it's full potential and are using your time efficiently. My program manager Paridhi Malhotra, was the best at keeping me on point and checking my progress throughout the modules. 

 The entire community is very helpful, let's you communicate with your classmates to give a real life work experience. 
Would recommend for any beginner who has some extensive mathematical experience as well as a business background to have a better understanding of the business application aspect.

I enjoyed the PGAIML course thoroughly. There was a balance between concepts and applicability of the techniques in python. The pace of teaching and the spacing between the projects was quite manageable with my work schedule. The periodic interactions with peers, the course manager, the projects, the quizzes all helped build my accountability towards my learning journey. It was my first time attending online classes along with my job, but to my surprise I found it very useful. The professors are very knowledgeable and helpful. They provide two certificates one from great learning and other from UT Austin, both holds high value. Beginners can also benefit from the course and can enhance their skills and confidence. **What I Loved**

**Instructor quality:** Our instructor, Ashkan Saidinejad, Ph.D. (AI Instructor at Great Learning), was exceptionally knowledgeable, personable, and clearly well-versed in the material. That made even the denser technical sessions approachable.

**Program management:** Huge shoutout to our program manager, Sameer Rana. He was incredibly communicative — sending weekly WhatsApp alerts on coursework, project deadlines, and materials due, always in a timely manner. That consistency made a real difference in staying on track.

**Flexibility:** Being able to watch pre-recorded sessions for any live class I missed was a lifesaver. The option to request extensions on projects when needed also made this a genuinely flexible program. I think working professionals and parents balancing multiple responsibilities would thrive with this structure.

**Pre-work:** I appreciated that pre-work existed at all — it's a great foundation.

**Where It Could Improve**

**Overview page graphic:** The uploaded graphic on the course overview page is too small and should be expanded for readability.

**Upfront tool transparency:** It would help to know, from day one, the complete list of AI tools we'd be focusing on across the program. Active Pieces, for example, came in as an add-on beyond what was initially outlined, and upfront clarity here would help with expectations and preparation.

**Capstone video generation guidance:** We need clear, specific guidance upfront on what video generation options are available and supported for the capstone project.

**Pre-work needs a hard deadline, and TCREI should move into it:** Pre-work would benefit from a hard deadline — for example, one week after the course start date — rather than being open-ended. I'd also suggest introducing the TCREI prompt framework within the pre-work itself rather than at the very beginning of the live course. TCREI was introduced early on, but encountering it right as the course started, rather than having had a chance to sit with it during pre-work, made the first assignment considerably harder to navigate, particularly for first-time AI users still building foundational understanding.

**Demo Day structure:** The final presentation format needs clearer structure. I understand the intent behind not using traditional PowerPoint slides, and I loved seeing some participants use infographics to visually map their flow. But I'd suggest the demo video itself should be the primary presentation of the flow — many participants lost time trying to demo their flows live through AI systems, running into lag issues that ate into their presentation time.

As an addition, focusing on building dashboards and command centers using AI would be beneficial across sectors, as part of the curriculum.

To Conclude:** Overall, this was a rich, flexible, and well-supported program with real strengths in its people and pacing. With a bit more upfront clarity on tools and structure, it could be even stronger for the next cohort. Read less

I have recently completed the Certified Program in Applied Generative AI from Great Learning in collaboration with Johns Hopkins University. This course is very well organized for any IT profressionals looking to explore on Gen AI applications. One need be a tech guru or expert to be part of it, the course starts with very of Python, so you start from ground and finish at doing GenAI projects. I have learned a lot of concepts and how to build AI applications with the help of AI. It helped me apply those concepts in day to day job duties. Highly recommend this course. Reviewing Chicago Booth AI Transformation and Leadership.  This was a rewarding 10 week course, taught by top notch faculty.  Participation in the course has definitely left me better prepared for AI strategic planning activities.  The curriculum was paced well and sequenced logically.  Supporting materials were sourced from widely recognized 'best in class' consulting/research firms.  Weekly use cases provide a good forum to foster applied knowledge.  The faculty was sterling.  Arup made lessons approachable and tethered to reality, James' Masterclasses and weekly recorded lessons were engaging.  It was a great experience start to finish.  Program support was consistent throughout.  Our program manager Juhi did a nice job brokering discussions with the students throughout the course. I had a very positive experience with this program. What I appreciated most was that the material was not only theoretical—it helped me think differently about real business problems and leadership decisions.

My experience with the Applied AI and Data Science Program, delivered by Great Learning in partnership with MIT Professional Education, was highly professional and well-organized from start to finish. The curriculum struck a great balance between rigorous theory and hands-on application, covering the full spectrum of AI/ML — from foundational statistics and data analysis through machine learning, deep learning, recommendation systems, and generative AI.Learning directly from MIT faculty, combined with weekend mentored sessions led by industry experts, gave real depth to the material and made complex concepts much more approachable. I also appreciated the structured support built into the program — revision weeks, code debugging office hours, and clear assessment checkpoints — which kept the learning experience organized and manageable alongside a full-time job.I created an elective project for the Data Analysis & Visualization module, and my capstone project applied clustering and dimensionality reduction techniques (KMeans, GMM, K-Medoids, PCA, t-SNE) to a customer segmentation problem — both of which helped solidify the concepts through real, applied work.On the administrative side, course coordinator Rashi was especially helpful — when I needed to rejoin a later batch, she made the reassignment smooth and hassle-free, which made a real difference in keeping me on track.Overall, I'd highly recommend this program to working professionals looking to build practical AI/ML skills through a rigorous, MIT-affiliated curriculum backed by strong faculty and administrative support. The program provided a strong balance of AI and machine learning fundamentals with practical, real-world applications. The well-structured curriculum, engaging instruction, hands-on projects, and case studies made the learning experience both insightful and impactful.

I especially appreciated the guidance from the faculty Prabhat Bhattarai and the continuous support from program manager Simran, which made the overall experience seamless.  This program（Applied AI and Data Science Program） covers rich and comprehensive topics, ranging from Python basics and Statists fundamentals to applying AI and data science in real-world scenarios. My favorite part is the large collection of practical code examples. The pre-reading materials are also very helpful because they extract the math and computing theories in a concise way, saving me from reading lengthy background books. I also enjoyed interacting with professors and industry mentors during the live sessions. 
However, digesting all this knowledge in just four months is quite challenging, especially while working full-time.
I highly recommend this program to professionals who already have some computer background and want to strengthen their hands-on skills. But for complete beginners without related experience, the fast pace might be difficult to keep up with.  Read less
