I had an extraordinary learning experience with the Generative AI course from Great Learning. The course was thoughtfully curated, starting from the basics of Artificial Intelligence and progressing seamlessly to advanced Generative AI concepts.The hands-on projects were extremely valuable, helping me gain practical experience and confidence in solving real-world use cases. The sessions were well-planned, even considering holidays, ensuring a consistent and effective learning journey.One of the standout aspects was the AI-powered learning tool from Great Learning, which smartly managed quizzes by providing helpful clues, sent reminders and follow-ups, and kept me motivated throughout the program.I would also like to sincerely appreciate Yugeesh Gandhi, Program Manager, for his continuous support. I'm wrapping up the University of Texas McCombs School of Business/Great Learning certificate program in artificial intelligence and machine learning, and had a fantastic experience with this program! I went looking for an AI certificate program in the midst of a career pivot, with no prior computer science experience or intensive math experience since high school many years ago. I was attracted to this program because it wasn't as expensive as AI programs offered by other schools, because the 7-month timeline felt like a good balance between providing enough time to cover the material without having to wait too long for completion, and because it offered some career resource tools like career guidance and resume reviews. This program delivered! The learning curve was steep at the beginning as can be expected, but I found that the lectures and weekly live sessions did a great job at making the material understandable-- even without recent computer science or math experience. My live session mentor and program mentor were very friendly and eager to help, and really went out of their way to make sure I felt comfortable with the material. Now that it's wrapped up, I feel confident making the pivot into the AI/ML field, even as it continues to evolve. I would definitely recommend this program! Read less

I feel the course syllabus or content is pretty old dated, the timelines are tight to make us feel that the course is taught at a good pace and curriculum is rigorous, I understood this when I came out of the busy schedule of the program. But I personally feel, latest concepts in AIML are not being taught and still feel like lagging behind, I understand that they were not part of the curriculum. I've been involved in software development for about 20 years and this class offers an in-depth practical hands-on experience into the AI/ML world. The added bonus is learning Python. I found the course content, instructors and overall experience to be excellent. The course delves into the fundamentals of AI with real world case studies and interesting projects that you can instantly apply in the real world.
From learning basic python coding, to the fundamentals of how large language models work, to prompt engineering to agentic AI this is a great course for anyone wanting to learn more about AI, even if you're starting from scratch. The course includes 2 hour long live mentor sessions with an expert each week.

Just 3 months to go? Wooow!!!!!!. I can't believe I made it this far. 

So, when I enrolled in the program, I wasn't sure I'd be able to make it this far considering my extremely tight schedule. As a single parent, a leader at church and a worker, I was looking for a course that would cater to my needs, but Great Learning did that and even more. Throughout this journey, I have received tremendous support from Usha, my account manager; from extending assignment deadlines to other technical support, Usha has really been helpful. The student support system at Great Learning is highly efficient and effective.

The program itself has been awesome and has lived up to expectation. The faculty are experienced and on top of their games, the course materials are well structured and very resourceful. The curriculum is practical (hands-on) with nuumerous industry/business applications. There are also supplementary reading materials (available for downloading), as well as additional case study materials for personal practice.
Furthermore, the AI mentored sessions have been very helpful, aligning with the course strategy. Prior to enrolling, I didn't have a solid fundation in AI and ML, but the course structure took care of that, the Foundational Courses helped in filling those gaps.
Additionally, the e-portfolios generated after each project work enables one to share their experiences and successes with the public and prospective employers. 
Also, their robust learning platform, Olympus, is very easy to navigate and always accessible (available). It is always up to date with your progress as a student. 

Overall, the experience has been awesome and worthwhile. I'm having value for my money. Keep it up! Usha and your team at Great Learning.

Signing up for the AI and Machine Learning program through UT Austin's McCombs School of Business was honestly the best move I've made for my career. It's run on the Great Learning platform, and it’s so much more than a typical online course—it’s a genuinely challenging experience that’s built for people who want to lead in business today.

The Coursework is Spot-On

What really makes this program stand out is the curriculum. They did a fantastic job of mixing the heavy-duty theory with stuff you can actually use on the job. We started with the basics of Python, then quickly moved into the deep end with machine learning, NLP, and even forecasting.

But the best part was that everything was tied back to real-world business problems. We weren't just learning theory for the sake of it. For example, when we learned about random forests, we immediately used it to build a model to predict why customers might leave. When we covered NLP, we put it to work analyzing sentiment from financial news. It makes the skills you pick up feel solid and useful from day one.

Curriculum: I found that it offered a comprehensive coverage of Python, statistics, regression, classification, hypothesis testing, machine learning algorithms, deep learning, recommendation systems, unstructured data analysis and causal inference. Each topic was reinforced with quizzes, projects and an end-of-course hackathon.

Instructors & Mentors: Our lecturers were MIT professors who provided a strong theoretical base, while the industry mentors and tutors helped us build on this knowledge and pairing this with practical insights into their application in sectors like banking, retail, e-commerce, and healthcare.
  Learning Experience: The course was delivered through on an online platform where our learning was supported with videos, readings, AI tools and discussion forums. Weekly mentorship sessions were interactive and application-focused giving us insights into industry best practices.

Job Support: The course offers post-graduation access to the learning platform, interview coaching, as well as a global alumni network to support my career growth.

Overall Impression: This is an intensive, high-value program that combines world-class instruction with hands-on application. 🌟 Testimonial for the Johns Hopkins Applied Generative AI Program via Great Learning 🌟

I can not express enough gratitude for what this course has given me. Coming from a non-technical background, I would have never dared to imagine that I could build AI-powered applications, fine-tune large language models, or confidently navigate tools like Google Colab, LangChain, and OpenAI APIs. And yet… I can now!

Over the 16 weeks, I felt completely supported, empowered, and challenged. The curriculum was brilliantly structured: from foundational concepts like transformers and embeddings to hands-on projects with Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), ethical AI, and real-world deployment. Week after week, I was learning by doing, not just listening. And by the time I presented my final capstone project, I realized how far I had come, not only technically but creatively and professionally.

As part of the optional homework, I also created an Advanced Multimodal RAG Prototype based on ethnoarchaeological research, which was only evaluated with encouraging feedback and it is now being developed into a real-world project. It has already been accepted for presentation at the University of Nottingham’s Cultural Heritage Management and Conservation Conference 2025, a milestone I could have never imagined achieving before this course. 

This program did much more than teaching me skills; it opened doors I didn’t even know existed. I now see myself able to step into the world of AI, applying what I learned across research, education, digital humanities, and beyond.

To anyone wondering if this course is “for them”, yes, it is. Especially if you think it’s not. That was me. And now, here I am, doing things I never even dared to dream.
