I had a genuinely fruitful learning experience with Great Learning. The AI and ML course was quite practical, several case studies were included, which gave a lot of practical relevance. The videos were well designed, small and easy to understand. Loved the fact that almost all the experts in the videos were PhDs, and could simplify complex concepts with excellent metaphors/examples. The weekly mentor sessions were great and gave a lot of practical insights from the industry. Loved the overall design of the curriculum and the LMS, it was self paced without being unstructured and flippant. I began the course with some apprehension, since this was a code heavy and math topic, and was not sure how it would be delivered online but it turned our very well. Thus far, I’ve had positive experiences learning tools like RapidMinor and KNIME, as well as techniques for building ML models in various scenarios. The course structure is well-suited to my learning style, consisting of pre-recorded video sessions that can be completed at my own pace throughout the week, along with a two-hour mentored learning session and a two-hour hands-on session on the weekend. The pre-recorded videos, delivered by esteemed professors from MIT, effectively convey the core concepts and theory behind the weekly topics. These videos are concise and clear, making them easy to follow, especially for someone with a background in mathematics. The mentored learning session addresses any questions that arise from the video content, while the hands-on session allows for deeper exploration of the tools used in modeling and problem-solving. This blend of self-paced learning and interactive support is, to me, an efficient way of mastering AI/ML using the NO Code approach.
