The course was at once challenging and satisfying! The closest I had come to AI was through playing around with Expert Systems, and the last time I did any coding, it was in Visual Basic - So the No-Code approach was made for me! As for Machine Learning, a good knowledge of statistical analysis could have helped me, but I disliked those classes during my undergraduate degree in Engineering. However, the universe was very forgiving when it allowed me to come across this No-code ML+AI course by MIT, which did not assume any prior knowledge of statistics and maths. Everything you need to know is introduced and explained in the course. However, I couldn't get over the ease with which the faculty made very complicated concepts so easily understood. In the course, one only needed to understand what the concepts meant and their role in the topic at hand, so I did not need to manipulate any complex maths or stats to make significant progress on the course. I found the Mentored Learning Sessions, taken by experts from the industry, very helpful in grounding the theoretical concepts in business use cases to which I could relate. This was almost always followed by hands-on sessions with experts who showed you how to use the no-code tools. I joined the October 2024 Cohort and am due to finish the course in mid-February 2025. despite working full-time, I was always excited to set aside 10-14 hours each week to review the materials, prepare for the various assessments and projects, and attend the Mentored sessions. I have thoroughly enjoyed upgrading my knowledge of AI and Machine Learning, and I am inspired now to use my new skills in my day job. I certainly recommend the Great Learning Team and the MIT Faculty, who have made my journey of discovery so enjoyable! Read less

Very nice experience with all the software support and learning from video lectures and mentor sessions. They are very informative and insightful of real world applications using real world examples and assignments. However they are many other domains in AI such as reinforcement learning, and if they can be included will be better for the completeness of the program Read less

The course helped me to get familiarize with various tools to analyze the data and derive great insights out of it. I applied the learnings from the course  in my day to day work  that helped me to standout. When I learnt how image identification is done using filters It opened me whole new set of ideas that can be applied when designing a new system.  Read less

I have been a lawyer in the life sciences space for almost 30 years.  In the last couple of years, the topic of AI seemed to be a part of every conversation, and it also seemed like no one, including myself, really understood what it meant.  As a lawyer, how can I truly understand the risk and legal implications of AI if I don't understand what it is?  I researched various courses and selected the UT McCombs AI & Machine Learning: Business Applications Program based on the breadth and depth of the Program and the cost. 

It has been hard.  I had never coded and learning Python was very difficult.  I was frustrated most of the time.  Fortunately, Debanwee Ghosh, my Program Manager, was always encouraging and supportive.  Without her, I definitely would have quit.  She has been great about finding resources and she is always soliciting feedback to make the Program stronger and student-centric.  

I really like the Program's learning model.  During the week, you watch videos and take quizzes to learn the theory, and the weekend session is used to apply the theory to an actual business case.  During that same session, students have the opportunity to ask questions and get immediate feedback.  The instructors have been very good.  My only note is that there isn't one single female instructor which seems out of step with the study body composition and industry trends.  

As I approach the end of the Program, I am not only sad that it is wrapping up, but I am also so please that I did it.  I have increased my understanding of AI a thousand percent, and I am confident that I can bring much more value to my work than I did before.  Thank you! Read less

The MIT Applied Data Science program greatly helped me advance my career and acquire the practical knowledge necessary to progress to the next step. The material is accessible and engaging (the lectures are amazing!). They will give you enough background to get up to speed. I was unsure if I could complete the work while having a full-time job and family responsibilities, but the course does give you enough time to absorb the material.  Plus, my boss will help me reclassify as a data scientist for my role at work. Studying the No Code AI and Machine Learning: Building Data Science Solutions program by MIT Professional Education via Great Learning has been an exceptional and transformative journey. I'm currently taking the PG course in AI & Machine Learning offered by the University of Texas at Austin and Great Learning, and it's been an amazing experience! The lessons are well-structured, starting from the basics and progressing to more advanced topics like neural networks. The hands-on projects are incredibly engaging, and they help reinforce what I'm learning. The instructors explain even complex ideas clearly, making it easy to follow along. Having completed courses in Data Mining and Data Science in the past, I enrolled in the Applied Data Science Program (ADSP) as a refresher. This program was essential for achieving my goals and reigniting my passion for data science.
