To help students land their first job in a tech role, the full time bootcamp experience is led by instructors who are expert practitioners in their field, supported by career coaches from day one, and enhanced by a career services team that is constantly in talks with employers about their tech hiring needs. Students should expect to build a solid portfolio of real-life projects.
Since 2011, General Assembly has graduated more than 40,000 students worldwide from the full time & part time courses. To enroll at General Assembly, applicants should submit an online application to connect with a GA Admissions team member who will work with them to decide if a tech bootcamps is the right fit. The GA Admissions staff are also prepared to speak with applicants about the best tech role for them, learning styles at GA, expected outcomes after the bootcamp, options to finance the bootcamp, career services offered by GA, and more.

Great learning experience
I absolutely loved my time with General Assembly and their Software Engineering Immersive. It was a full-time online course over three months. The instructor I had at the time, Michael Lackey, was absolutely fantastic in his explanations and guidance. He could be overbearing but because of that, those of us who made it through the course all agreed that it greatly helped to develop our coding skills, learning ability, critical thinking, and teamwork mentality.
The post-course outcome...I absolutely loved my time with General Assembly and their Software Engineering Immersive. It was a full-time online course over three months. The instructor I had at the time, Michael Lackey, was absolutely fantastic in his explanations and guidance. He could be overbearing but because of that, those of us who made it through the course all agreed that it greatly helped to develop our coding skills, learning ability, critical thinking, and teamwork mentality.
The post-course outcomes department is a strong force that has helped me personally with my search for a position. Though the market is tough at the moment, they offer great guidance, resources, and connections to other engineers.
I highly recommend this course. Challenging but Fun!
I took the UX Immersive bootcamp in January 2023 and had a blast. It is definitely not for people who are not ready to work hard, because you need to be ready to put in a lot of hours of work if you want to get the most out of the course. Fruitful, insightful and enjoyable Bootcamp
Before signing up for the course, I was considering whether to upskill through self-study or attending a Bootcamp. Wanting to connect with more like-minded people and get a certificate, I signed up for the course.

Amazing experience with the SEI program
General Assembly’s Software Engineering Immersive served as a great experience that allowed me to grasps web development and give me the skill to pursue software engineering. My instructors were amazing and were always willing to chat after class and help me understand anything that I had questions on. The full-time program is definitely an time investment but I personally think it’s worth it. An engaging, worthwhile endeavor
The curriculum for Data Analytics Remote (Online) was exactly what I needed to get started in the Data Analytics space, but the instructor is what really brought this course to life. Durga was fantastic in taking the time to explain concepts and give additional examples where needed. She used her day-to-day experience to help illustrate how the course work could be used in practical instances. A great experience I will look back on fondly
My experience was overall great! Since graduating, I have done a ton of work to continue my education and skill building in ux by doing pro bono work, alongside looking for full time work. Although I feel like UX bootcamp classes may not be the most accurate depiction of the realities of any particular job, my instructional team definitely gave me the resources and skills needed to apply in many directions. I just have to maintain that willingness to grow post course! Since I graduated i...My experience was overall great! The instructors at General Assembly are phenomenal at what they do and also bring lots of real world experience to the table. I learned so much more than I expected to within the 6 months I attended the Software Engineering Immersive Online Flex program. It was a lot to juggle between a full time job and the bootcamp, but it was so worth it, and I was able to secure an SE job within a few months of graduating.

The outcomes coaches are nice and supportive, but I didn't interact with them much after the conclusion of the bootcamp itself and largely searched for jobs on my own. There's a lot of general advice but not a lot tailored to you, and it seems like there are way too many students per coach, so it was difficult to get any 1 on 1 time with them more than 15 minutes at a time. Also, the direct job recommendations were so few compared to the number of students looking.

Engaging, Interactive Course, lackluster Job Prospects
Course was very fun, challenging, and informative. Classes were structured at the right pace...occasionally material was confusing, however both instructors (Britni and Tricia) gave us ample time to ask questions. I was blessed to work with 4 other smart, capable students in a preassigned small group for a project (1 member later dropped out which did increase the workload). Nevertheless, this is a great course if you're new or seasoned to product management. Cost is on the higher side f...Course was very fun, challenging, and informative. While the final day of class was memorable for connecting with professional PM's currently practicing their craft, the biggest gripe is the lack of transition to a PM role. It is entirely possible to take this course and STILL walk away without a PM career at the end of it. This class is great, the instructors our amazing, but GA drops the ball HARD on progressing you into a PM role at close of the course. Worth the hard work!
I attended my Software Engineering Immersive (SEI) bootcamp with General Assembly in mid-late 2022.
Having previously met and hired multiple graduates from GA I went in having done quite a lot of my own + some crowdsourced research, and was not disappointed.
Definitely not for the faint of heart, GA will take your education (and post-graduation) seriously, and push you to the limits of what you can accomplish in a short time frame (12 week immersive in my case).

The teaching & instruction team are tried and tested, with a lot of the Instructor Associates having previously been graduates as well, you're well supported from the beginning with people who have really 'been there and done that' before you, understanding the highs, the lows, the stress, the FAQ's and everything in between.
From a post-graduation standpoint the Careers & Success coaching is tip top, something that I discovered almost no other bootcamp education provider actually offers, or if they do it's in it's infancy by comparison to GA. Regular catch-up's, infinite access to 1 on 1 career, resume, tailored job application, networking events, group interview session etc are on offer on a very regular basis - not to mention additional resources in email follow ups on potential job openings you can apply for week in week out (they do half if not 75% of the job search process FOR you).
Highly recommended, competitive and thorough education top to bottom, my current boss is stoked I came out knowing the practical skills I needed to be a hands on coder very quickly.

Intense and rewarding bootcamp
This was one of the most intense courses I did, it's only 6 days long, but the content was great.
We went from ideation to investor deck in less than a week. The instructor was outstanding, had great communication skills and a wealth of product experience.
The content is very clear and systematic with multiple external references to drill into on your own time. The group exercises were engaging and practical. A very wholesome experience. Dived in to the Software Engineer Immersive Course
I recently completed a 12 week software engineer immersive course at GA Sydney and I couldn't be happier with the result. The course covered a wide range of topics, including computer history, javascript, ruby on rails, jQuery, react, and Vue. In addition to the technical skills, the course also provided valuable networking opportunities. The course instructors connected us with a large network of professionals, which was a fantastic resource for finding job leads and resources after completing the course.
Overall, I highly recommend this programming course to anyone looking to improve their skills and advance their careers. The diverse range of topics, hands-on projects, and valuable networking opportunities made for a well-rounded and enjoyable learning experience.
