The TAs were incredibly helpful, and the instructors were mostly competent and encouraging. The curriculum was broad and well-structured, allowing us to build a complete portfolio by the end. The bootcamp also provided strong career support and networking opportunities.
The bootcamp fostered a friendly and collaborative environment among students, where everyone was eager to learn and help each other out.
My advice: have some foundational knowledge before starting, as the pace can be intense. Don’t be afraid to ask your instructors, TAs, and even your classmates for help.

The course was led by two DS industry professionals and was designed to optimize learning within five 3.5 hour lectures over five weeks while accommodating varying levels of prior experience with programming. The two instructors brought a lot of experience and knowledge to the course. Their teaching styles also complemented each other, which made for five interesting sessions over the course. One instructor focused on ensuring the class had the time within the courses to ask questions to clarify understanding while the other was really good at pointing to the must-know points within the topics covered. Both were approachable and responsive which ensured the class felt they can ask questions and receive a timely response.
The curriculum covered a range of Python topics, from basics, to more advanced data types, manipulating data, and even fundamentals of algorithms. The course also shows to set up and an environment to actually write and run your code using a Jupyter Notebook. We also had access to a variety of BrainStation resources to assist learning and career coaching services. The instructors also were awesome at providing external resources that are must-know sites to assist in understanding the Python libraries; very important in Data Science. Very tough at times, a number of my cohort from good educational backgrounds actually had to drop out, but the quality of the teaching, learning materials and the all-round experience was always next-level. Despite the intensity, given the 3 month course length there were certainly areas that would have been great to dive into in more detail but BrainStation probably struck just about the right balance in terms of content covered, depth and amount we were pushed as students given the time available. In the end A LOT of ground is covered in the time and there will always be plenty of links, challenges and learning materials shared that will keep you learning long after the course. Whilst there are other options out there which may be better given your circumstances (e.g uni courses which may offer more depth over a longer period of time), as far as the bootcamp formula goes you can't really fault BrainStation.
For me it's 5*s all round with the only exception being the job assistance but this is purely on the basis that I manage to sort a role through my own connections. The support was professionally run and particularly for people earlier on in their careers, the job assistance along with BrainStation's industry connections and the professional development resources available throughout the course would definitely be of real value.
Highly recommend although I would say get your maths, python and sql up to scratch before enrolling and certainly don't go into this lightly. It'll likely take over your life for 3 months but if you put the effort in you'll get a lot out of it.Overall5.0Curriculum5.0Job support4.0Instructors5.0 -

The careers team were always just a message away when I needed advice on the job app process – I had many 1-to-1 calls and mock interviews throughout to ensure I was on track and also gain confidence going into interviews. Although the support was always there, I want to preface that just like the bootcamp itself, the success of the programme is mainly down to your proactiveness to seek opportunities and how much effort and time you put into the job search.
