A detailed course with engaging sessions from the instructors. We deep-dived into all things product management and touched upon many things like MVP, building a prototype, working in agile environments and more. It would be great to dive into more details like segments on Agile and Product Launch, as they are a prerequisite for PM jobs. While job assistance was not a part of the course, it was good to have the instructors talk more about how to break into the industry. It would be helpful to collaborate with companies looking for part-time interns or co-op opportunities, so candidates can have the experience needed to land a job. Amazing course led by the best instructor - Scott. I felt supported throughout and learned so much about Product Management that I previously had not known about. Our instructor was always willing to help explain concepts further and provide examples whenever needed. I loved my Product management part-time program, I wish there was more time to deep dive into the case studies and refine them. The instructors were very knowledgeable and knew their stuff. The class was also small sized so it was easy to get to know everyone. I recommend this course if you are deciding if you want to pivot into product management but after the program, there is a lot more work to be done before you are ready to tackle the industry. I definitely got what I needed out of this boot camp. The program went by very fast, as the instructors will caution you as early as the first lesson. I would definitely say to new students, if you want to get a big overview of the industry of Digital Marketing and all its disciplines, this is a great place to go. There is a LOT of subject matter, so the learning never stops once the course is done, and I would advise that you're probably going to benefit more if you're an older student looking to continue their education and gain more insight into marketing. I took BrainStation’s UX Design course and I really liked it! It was an intensive class, where we learned about all areas of UX Design in 8 classes! The instructors, Rana and Riley, were very nice, provided real-life examples in our lectures (which I found the most helpful), and were always open to help us with any inquiries. Our commitment in this class was to attend the lectures, and to do our project. Halfway through the course, we submitted our project strategies, and on the last day of class we submitted our final project. 
I feel like the course was well organized, and I enjoyed the tangible examples that help us connect the lessons to the real world. I feel that when we were provided with real-life examples, insights and tips, it made the lectures more engaging, and helped my classmates and I understand the concepts more. Some of the concepts are a little bit more complex than others in this course, so it is crucial to provide examples and easy-to-follow points of reference when explaining these (which I feel the instructors became better at as the course progressed). I really liked that the instructors shared extra/optional resources at the end of every class with a summary of the lesson. I loved that the course load was very practical... we had our project to do and a final presentation that felt both very realistic and useful practice to apply the knowledge and to start building our portfolios. We had the chance to work on our projects by the end of almost each class, and to ask questions along the way. 
Tips: continuing to explain complex concepts as simply as possible; continuing to show multiple examples; continuing to provide resources helpful to learn and to apply in real life; do not read slides, but explain the concepts in your own words as this connects more with students; and emphasizing the importance of practicing Figma earlier and learning with the program’s YouTube channel (maybe including a few basic and important tips for using Figma as a slide in the class).  Read less

I think the Bootcamp had a nice structure with a lesson, live coding, and questions for each section that culminated in the final project. The professors did a great job of explaining the material even when it was a bit complicated and being patient to make sure everyone was following alone. However, since the class is very short and covers a wide range of material I think they should be more careful about who they are marketing the course towards and I feel like in general the marketing is a bit misleading. I was successful with the course because I was already familiar with a lot of the concepts from my studies at school. I think the material would be hard to follow for somebody brand new to data science and they would need to take a lot of time outside of the course to get the most out of it. Also, when signing up for the course I had two major questions for the team: What resources will I have in networking and career building/How much time should I expect to spend outside of the course hours weekly. The team that authorized my payment assured me I'd have ample opportunities for workshops and networking events and that I would only need to spend an hour outside of class each work working on the material. Both were misleading. While Brainstation does have some workshops and networking events they can be very niche and a lot of them were not related to data science at all. I think in my 8 weeks I did not see a single event relevant to the career field. I thought there could also be potentially time outside of class to meet with my professors about career building and next steps, however there was limited opportunity for that during the course. Finally, the final project alone is a good amount of work and while it should be and the exercises provided are very good I'm not sure why I was told I wouldn't have to spend too much time outside of class working on the material. Also a final quick note is some of the notebooks were inconsistent and some files were not the same. I think that should be ironed out.  Read less

I went from 0 Web Dev experience to having a solid CSS/HTML foundation that I can continue to build upon post-course. The instructors have past and current experience in the industry and were very patient when communicating the material. The projects allowed me to practice what I had learned in class and built well upon each other. If you want to learn some Web Dev but don't know where to start, this could be a great option for you! For the past 10 weeks I have had the best class ever. As a college student I am use to the classroom experience and really moving through course material but a lot of the time having it not stick. However, the BrainStation Data Analytics course that I took here in Miami was hands-down the best professional learning class I've ever had. My teacher was phenomenal. Not only is she excellent at teaching but she has 20 years of experience that she brings to class room. Truly walking away with a knew skill set and insightful perspective into the field of data analytics.
