University of Denver Boot Camps
University of Denver Boot Camps are 12-week, full-time, or 24-week, part-time web development, UX/UI, data analytics, financial technology, and cybersecurity courses, and an 18-week, part-time digital marketing course. The full stack curriculum includes HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, Bootstrap, Express.js, Node.js, databases, MongoDB, MySQL, and Git.
The UX/UI program provides hands-on training in user-centric design research, design thinking, visual prototyping and wireframing, interface design, storyboarding, visual design theory, web prototyping with HTML5 and CSS, interaction design with JavaScript and jQuery, and more.
The data curriculum includes programming in Excel, Python, R programming, JavaScript charting, HTML/CSS, API interactions, SQL, Tableau, fundamental statistics, machine learning, and more. Enjoy close collaboration with other professionals while receiving hands-on experience.
The cybersecurity curriculum offers hands-on training in networking, systems, web technologies, databases, and defensive and offensive cybersecurity.
The digital marketing curriculum covers highly relevant skills, training you in marketing strategy fundamentals, optimizing campaigns and websites, digital advertising and automation strategy, and more. You will get hands-on experience with tools such as Google Analytics, Facebook Ads Manager, and Wordpress.
The fintech curriculum covers Python programming, financial libraries, machine learning algorithms, Ethereum, blockchain, and more.
Boot camp curricula are designed with the most in-demand market needs in mind. Students will enjoy close collaboration with other professionals while receiving hands-on experience.
Applicants do not need prior experience to enroll, but once admitted, all students will complete a pre-course tutorial. University of Denver Boot Camps are designed for working professionals and individuals who are actively pursuing a career change or advancement or looking to gain a new skill set.
Students will benefit from a wide range of career services to be positioned for success through program completion and beyond. Services include portfolio reviews, resume and social media profile support, high-impact career events, workshops, mock interviews, and 1:1 career coaching. Successful students will receive a non-credit Certificate of Completion from the University of Denver's University College.

I have taken the precourse work for Hackreactor (I didn't end up going with this course last year due to timing issues) and now for EdX UDenver Full Stack Bootcamp. I have not taken the actual course for Denver yet as it starts on Monday. Comparing the two precourses, Hackreactor focused almost exclusively on JavaScript coding where we actually got pretty in depth and on code. There was no instructor and it was all just reading modules off Canvas which I thought was a bit mediocre for how much we pay for these classes. Denver however did give me a better understanding as to how the big picture works in the coding work environment, rather than just throwing JS concepts at me. I am worried the lessons will be more of the same where it is just a written textbook on Canvas rather than teacher lead courses, and am hoping the course does dive deeper into detail on HTML, CSS and JS. This bootcamp provided a great foundation for a career in cyber security. The course covered all the key areas needed for success in the field, from network security to ethical hacking and forensics. The instructor and TA's were knowledgeable and supportive, creating an excellent learning environment.

difficult yet enjoyable
This was an amazing experience to say the least, I was working a job I hated and now with this education I have EARNED with this time sensitive, knowledgeable boot camp, I can safely say can get a good job with what I know. I highly recommend anyone considering entering the UX/UI field to take this boot camp! The material is a lot but the pace at which it is covered is manageable and the instructional team goes above and beyond to address any concerns. It’s definitely tailored in a way that you get out of it what you put in. The instructor does a tremendous job of covering everything, but it’s definitely beneficial to put in the extra time and experiment outside of class! I completed this program less than a month ago and while I haven’t found a full time position yet, I already have multiple freelance gigs I’m working on. I loved this bootcamp and learned so much from not only the teacher and the TAs, but also the students. I went into this with very little design experience and while it was intimidating at first, the content, lesson structure, and everyone involved were all very approachable.

My Experience through the bootcamp was great. The curriculum they teach is definitely in line with the job market today. The instructors were SUPER knowledgeable. Plus they went above and beyond in terms of helping on projects and just general questions. The TA's were also very knowledgeable and great about guiding us.
