Nucamp bootcamps offer excellent and affordable training for entry-level jobs in tech. They provide the flexibility of 100% online, part-time, self-scheduled study with the accountability and support of active mentoring and live, online workshops. Bootcamps include Cybersecurity (15 weeks), Back End, SQL, DevOps with Python (16 weeks), Front End Web & Mobile Development (17 weeks), Full Stack Web & Mobile Development (22 weeks), Solo AI Tech Entrepreneur (30 weeks), as well as AI Essentials for Work (15 weeks), an intro to Web Development Fundamentals (4 weeks of HTML, CSS, & Bootstrap), and a Job Hunting Bootcamp (4 weeks for anyone, educated or self-trained, looking for hands-on help with finding their next job).
Students of Nucamp's longer bootcamps are prepared for junior, entry-level jobs. In addition, several bootcamps prepare students to take industry-recognized certification exams from JSE, Python Institute PCEP, and CompTIA, etc. Nucamp offers career services to its graduates, including 1:1 career coaching and exclusive access to Nucamp’s curated, nationwide job board. Graduates enjoy lifetime access to their curriculum, including updates, and to Nucamp's online learning community for continued networking and career support.
Nucamp is on a mission to make quality education accessible and affordable to everyone. See their website for scholarship opportunities. New bootcamps start every 5 weeks with a dedicated instructor guiding small cohorts of typically no more than 20 students. Admission is open to all 18 years and older (some states require HS graduation or GED). To enroll in a bootcamp, complete Nucamp's online registration form.

I still advise people to look into resources prior, throughout and after the course. You definitely need to put a good amount of time into the course and it's definitely not something where you can put your assignments or your learning for the last minute or else you will definitely fall behind. Although I'm definitely not 100% with Javascript that is definitely not the fault of the course, any course will leave you feeling like this and JavaScript is definitely an ongoing learning venture. I'm really happy I took the course. My instructor Dan Page is very knowledgeable and has lots of experience and insight. If you are not familiar with the core 3: HTML, CSS, JS you definitely have to take this course prior to Front End or Full Stack. It's impossible to learn everything but for the value it prepares you and gives you a direction of what to do next or what you need to work or improve on.Overall5.0Curriculum5.0Job supportN/AInstructors5.0 -

I chose Nucamp because of the affordability and convenience to study on my own time. I find that the weekly assignments and workshop provide a structure that is easier to follow than teaching myself.Overall5.0Curriculum4.0Job support4.0Instructors5.0 -

It was very educational and a solid foundation for moving on to more advanced coding. It covers HTML, CSS and JavaScript. HTML and CSS are covered over the course of one week, respectively and JavaScript the last two weeks. You get hands on experience with projects and coding challenges. My instructor was extremely friendly, helpful and was excellent at explaining the concepts. The work load is not overwhelming and can be done over the course of the week by setting aside a couple hours a day. Some lessons require a little more time to fully grasp and might have you at your computer after work until later in the evening. Saturday consists of a review of the course materials learned over the week and a workshop project with the instructor present and there to help with any questions. I would definitely recommend this to anyone that would like an intro into coding - especially if you have no prior knowledge. I had not written one line of code before taking this class and after the 4 weeks I could easily build a website (albeit, not extremely advanced).Overall5.0Curriculum5.0Job supportN/AInstructors5.0 -

The 4-week into to web development course was challenging and kept me accountable - because there are live Zoom workshops (COVID) every Saturday, there was no option to slack off. (Well, we did a little bit, and our instructor set us straight - I appreciated this.) I wanted to do the 4-week class to decided if I even like coding (I do). I am starting the full stack course next month and look forward to working with a couple of the other people in my cohort. I really liked working with others during the workshops - sharing our screens, coming up with solutions together, having the instructor pop in regularly to give us hints. I thrive on manageable, challenging deadlines/routines, so I quite enjoyed having to spend 2 or 3 hours a day doing the work to be prepared for Saturday. I am not sure if I want to change careers, but if nothing else, this course has given me new insight into web pages/user experience.Overall5.0Curriculum5.0Job support4.0Instructors4.0 -

A friend of mine had another friend that had great success with the Nucamp experience and convinced him to sign up for the Web Fundamentals course. When he told me how affordable it was, I was immediately interested in signing up. COVID-19 had eliminated over 80% of my work this year so affordability was a huge issue for me. I was so pleased with the Web Fundamentals experience that I signed up for the Full Stack program, which I am starting this week. Really looking forward to it! It has been a fantastic learning experience so far.Overall5.0Curriculum5.0Job supportN/AInstructors5.0 -

This new knowledge will help me complete the Front end web design course and eventually land my first job in the IT industry. The instructor is always available to help with questions, and the workshop helps me understand the material in greater depth. I used Free Code Camp and Front End Masters at the same time and while all 3 had similar content, it took all three sometimes to get the information to click in my brain. Javascript is still kind of foggy but I have a basic understanding of how it works and how to use and debug. For the price this is a great way to figure out if you want to pursue further courses without a big investment. Would recommend learning about VS Code shortcuts and extensions that can really help like the bracket pair colorizer extension.
