I am a researcher in Education specializing in qualitative video data analysis, with particular interest in methodological innovation and the integration of AI into research practices. I had a genuinely very positive experience with this MIT No Code AI & Machine Learning Program.
What I particularly appreciated was the way the program brought together a strong academic perspectives and managerial expertise. This combination created a rich and balanced environment, where conceptual understanding was not treated in isolation but continuously connected to real professional practices.
For me, this was especially valuable. The course did not simply introduce tools, nor did it stay at a purely theoretical level. It articulated both. Concepts were grounded, discussed, and then translated into hands-on applications in a way that made sense from a research as well as a professional standpoint.
This kind of alignment between theory, methodology, and practice is not always easy to achieve, and I found it particularly well executed here.
I also want to highlight the role of the platform and the Great Learning team. The platform itself was intuitive and well-structured, which made navigating between concepts and tools very smooth. More importantly, the Great Learning team created a supportive and responsive environment that facilitated understanding at every step. I enrolled in the Walsh Program at this institute with high expectations, but my overall experience has been mixed. There are several important points that prospective students should carefully consider before applying.

The program is significantly more expensive than other comparable programs in the industry. Unfortunately, the quality of the content and learning resources does not justify the premium pricing. In fact, similar educational material can be found elsewhere at a much lower cost, which makes the overall value proposition questionable.

Additionally, there is little to no placement support provided by the institution. Students are largely on their own when it comes to securing job opportunities after graduation. If you are expecting structured career guidance, campus placements, or a smooth transition into a new role, this program may not meet your expectations. Be prepared to invest additional time and effort independently to build your career.

In summary, while the program may offer learning opportunities, its high cost and lack of placement support are important factors to consider before making a decision. Read less

I had a truly enriching learning experience with the Post Graduate Program in Generative AI for Business Applications offered by the University of Texas at Austin in collaboration with Great Learning.

The course material was well-structured, detailed, and highly explanatory, making even complex topics easy to understand. The mentored sessions were especially valuable, providing guided hands-on experience and helping me understand the nuances of various techniques in depth.

The program also had excellent support in place, with a dedicated program manager and support team who were easily accessible and helped resolve queries promptly. The learning portal was user-friendly, and the assessment methodologies, along with practical projects, ensured strong hands-on exposure.

I particularly appreciated how the curriculum covered both AI and Generative AI fundamentals, along with model architectures in depth, enabling a clear connection to real-world business applications. The syllabus was well-defined and thoughtfully structured.

Another standout feature was the dual-track approach for projects catering separately to developers and managers which helped in grooming the right skill sets based on individual career paths and expectations.

Good: 
I had a chance to go through GL's PG program in Generative AI for Business Applications and I could say I have learnt a lot from this course. Right from first chapter towards end, they have covered a vast variety of topics in Gen AI field. I know now how Gen AI works at the backend. Instead of just using, now I understand what's happening underneath.
This course also gave me opportunity to implement my learnings into practical applications, which helped me in understanding the nuances of Gen AI (such as negative case testing, security and how to use AI responsibly). Using techniques like RAG,  Agentic AI, LLM as a judge, RAGAS etc has given me confidence in applying same in my career wherever applicable. 

What could be improved: 
Due to nature of how AI is evolving, my suggestion is to keep updating the syllabus as new things come out. Instead of extending the program timeline, swapping more recent and important topics would help keep timelines intact and also providing chance for cohort to be updated. 

Program manager: 
I also would like to call out my program manager, Amit who has been a great source of help throughout the program. In one specific situation when I reached out to him he promptly helped me by guiding and suggesting on how to navigate through the uncertainty I had in my mind. 

Overall, I would say a great course for someone who is interested in jumping into behind the scenes of Gen AI and elevate their understanding of concepts.  Read less

The 'No Code AI and Machine Learning' program gave me a clear, structured path through a field that can feel overwhelming to break into. I'll be honest — at the beginning, the road through statistics and classical Machine Learning felt unclear to me. But as the course progressed, everything started connecting and making perfect sense. Starting from ML fundamentals and progressing through neural networks, NLP, and practical AI automation, the journey felt well-designed rather than thrown together. I'm leaving with skills I'm already applying: building RAG pipelines, working with vector databases, and designing AI agent workflows. I recently completed the UAT Gen AI for Business Applications program and found it incredibly valuable, especially coming from a non technical background.

It gave me a clear understanding of how AI models work under the hood and hands on experience building Gen AI solutions like RAG systems and AI agent chatbots using low code, with exposure to Python for full code development.A great program for bridging business and AI.

I found this course while growing interest in AI and wanting to expand my knowledge about machine learning to possible apply to an app idea for my restaurants.  I was really surprised how much I learned about how models work, fine tuning them, training them, creating RAG systems, developing chatbots.  This course has given me the confidence to keep learning about this fast growing field, I now know the right questions to ask and constantly developing ways to help improve my field of work which is the restaurant industry.  Most of the content was presented in small chunks which made it much easier to process and retain.  I would definitely recommend this program to anyone that is serious about working on AI related projects. I am a 17-year veteran of the security compliance field, and I decided to enroll in the Johns Hopkins Applied Generative AI course because of the profound impact AI has had on our industry. Nearly every major client assessment, advisory effort, or strategic initiative crossing my desk involved some degree of AI, LLM, or MCP integration. It became clear that my team and I were underprepared for the scale of technological disruption already reshaping pur profession.

The JHU Applied Generative AI course was genuinely transformative for me. Over the span of 16 weeks, I went on a true “zero to hero” journey. I began the course viewing AI as little more than machine learning with extra hype, and I finished it with the ability to automate work that once took months and reduce it to weeks. The curriculum covered the full spectrum: AI fundamentals, transformers, Python, and the core libraries needed to build AI applications and orchestrate agents effectively.
Before this course, I had little understanding of neural networks or practical AI implementation. By the end, I was building automated virtual employees with targeted skill sets, capable of performing complex tasks and collaborating with one another to solve larger organizational problems that had persisted for years. I also went from having virtually no development background to applying the skills from this course through GPT Codex to build fully functional applications with user-friendly interfaces in less than four days.One of the most valuable lessons this course taught me is that AI is not just a glorified search engine. Many people dismiss it after a poor prompt or a hallucinated response, but this program made it clear that using AI effectively is a skill. Prompt engineering, data preparation, workflow design, and output validation all require discipline and practice. This course provided an exceptional foundation for developing that skill set and for moving into real-world AI-assisted problem solving and solution building.
Today, I automate more than 70% of my workload through AI agents and agentic orchestration. The field is evolving at an incredible pace, and without the knowledge and practical experience I gained here, I would have been left behind. The value of this course comes not only from the subject matter, but from the delivery: hundreds of high-quality CBTs, real instructor-led training, and practical midterm and final evaluations that required students to build a full-service AI platform from the ground up, step by step.
I would highly recommend this course to anyone looking to get their foot in the door with AI, as well as to professionals in any field who want guidance on how to truly unlock the potential of AI-assisted work.
