I recently completed the MIT no-code AI and machine learning course, and it was a transformative experience! as someone with a deep technical background but currently juggling multiple ventures, i found this course to be the perfect blend of accessibility and depth.

firstly, the course content is exceptionally well-structured. it starts with the basics of AI and machine learning, gradually introducing more complex concepts. what stood out to me was the emphasis on understanding the principles behind the algorithms without getting bogged down in code. this approach made the material accessible to a wide audience, regardless of their technical proficiency.

the hands-on projects were a highlight. i completed three capstone projects: gen AI powered review categorization, predicting whether an sms is 'spam' or not, and predicting hotel booking cancellations. these projects allowed me to apply the theoretical knowledge in practical scenarios, reinforcing my learning and giving me a sense of accomplishment. the no-code tools used in these projects were intuitive, yet powerful, demonstrating that you don't need to be a coding expert to make meaningful contributions in the AI field.

the instructors were top-notch, bringing a wealth of knowledge and experience. their ability to break down complex concepts into digestible pieces was invaluable. the course also fostered a collaborative learning environment, with ample opportunities for peer interaction and feedback. Read less

Before starting this course, I did not know where to start, but after taking this course not only do I know where to start, I know what type of model fits best the aplication and how to implement it, and after i am able to understand the given results and know how to identify if the model was overfit.

My experience with this course far exceeded my expectations. You get real MIT professors teaching 3x a week. Course content is fantastic with multiple avenues to learn and absorb the material (live video lectures, recordings, follow along case studies, lots of ‘recipe’ python notebooks and many more resources). The human element is what really sets this course apart from the MIT professors to in industry mentors, as well as the great learning lecturers. Special shout out to our program manager, Shubham, for making everything work seamlessly, especially when life and work commitments create special challenges to focused academic study. The capstone project really cemented what the course is all about, practical application of data science. I recommend this course without reservations to anyone interested in this area and wanted to enhance their skills or make a career pivot. Truly a transformative learning experience.  Read less

As someone who does not have any background in Python Coding and Data Science, the Applied Data Science Program offered by Great Learning and the MIT faculties is an excellent online program to get my foot in the door and my knowledge and skills up to speed in the field of Statistics, Data Science, Machine Learning, and Python Coding. I cannot understate my appreciations on how intuitive the platform is, how knowledgeable the professors and the mentors are, and how well the program has been organized by the Program Manager - Shubham Chourasia. 

The learning curve was certainly steep for me. However, thanks to various recorded lectures, online sessions, case studies, and hands-on projects. I was able to manage the coursework at my own pace and become well acquainted with the broad range of topics the course was trying to cover. The case studies and hands-on projects provided in the course all had real-life relevance, making them not only very enriching, but also very rewarding to work on. 

I would highly recommend this course to anyone who is looking to acquire new skill sets or to expand their existing ones.

I have experienced firsthand the power of support a program manager can yield in your journey as a student in the last 3 weeks. I only wanted to quit and just take a break( one I knew I would regret). Debanwee's support and humanness were what pulled me through a week of sheer exhaustion and lag in schoolwork. With just one module to go, I had barely gone through the week's work or even started my project while on work travel in a different continent, over 24 hours in flight from home. 
Debanwee Ghosh's words such as "Don't worry", " you are a rockstar", and" On a side note, take time to rest from the jetlag"...gave me the strength to keep going. She graciously extended my submission date and nudged me to the finish line.  I struggled with the basic codes ( funny thought now), but after 5 sleepless nights, I caught up with the new week's work and quiz, I not only concluded my project but completely ACED it ( 60/60). She reached out to let me know my perfect score and I got up my seat at work to do a happy dance.

As a seasoned professional I was looking for a challenge, and this is what I found.

There are courses for beginners, but if you wish to become a Data Scientist it is MANDATORY you make projects before starting it. From my vision, I advise making a self pre-work in ML/AI. So when you start, you can understand how to improve upon what you built.

The content is absolutely excellent, and I recommend anyone willing to become a Data Scientist to take this course. My experience feedback is : use the knowledge they put at your disposal, teachers "help" but you are the actor of your own success, so self-work is the key success factor.

I came into this program as a beginner. After having just completed this program, I can say this isn't a program that one can coast by simply attending weekend classes. For a beginner, it will take a lot of time commitment and efforts on a regular basis, however the learning is worth it.. For me personally, it gave me comfort about AI topics and being more hands on. 

The course was well-paced with clear mentoring and deadlines. The course is primarily delivered by esteemed professors from MIT, supported by mentoring sessions with industry practitioners who provide practical insights into real-world applications of the topics. A special shoutout to program manager Jasper Gill, who was incredibly easy to communicate with and resolved any questions promptly, keeping us informed about upcoming deadlines and course-related communications.

I am a beginner in the topic, and wasn't sure how the program will be structured and delivered. However I am pleasantly surprised by how well the course contents were structured to cater to both absolute beginners as well as experienced professionals in Python/Statistics and advanced topics like DataScience and ML. The contents were of very high quality and very well researched along with external references that can satiate the more curious minds. Initially I thought 12 weeks was a very tight schedule given the complexity of the topic, but the course was very well paced with clear course mentoring and deadlines.

The course is mostly delivered by esteemed professors from MIT, and is supported by mentoring sessions from industry practitioners with practical experience to give us a flavor of how the topics will be applied in real world production systems. The contents delivered by MIT faculty is pre-recorded but were so well organized with elaborate detail that I didn't find a need to approach any of the faculty nor program office to clarify questions. We had weekly mentoring sessions wherein the faculty from Great Learning would do detailed code walk-through on real life projects and explain in detail the internals of models and techniques implemented to build and analyse real-life case studies from scratch. The program has a Hackathon towards the end which is a culmination of all the learnings in the course which is a very fun way to consolidate all the content.

Additionally, applicants had access to an active chat room where we could post questions on contents or any technical difficulty and will be promptly clarified by the program managers. Applicants are provided access to utilize resume building help as well as career mentoring sessions through their Excelerate program. 

Big shoutout to the program manager Jasper Gill who was super easy to communicate and resolve any questions any time of the day without any delay. He was on top of communicating upcoming deadlines and any course related communication.

Overall would highly recommend Great Learning in collaboration with MIT and would surely look forward to do more with them. Read less

I appreciated the quality of the pre-recorded classes by the MIT faculty. The course starts very heavy on math, algebra and statistics and then winds down to easier mini-courses that are progressively less about mastering the software and more about the practical aspects of AI/ML. Please bear in mind that the MIT portion of this course is all pre-recorded. Mentored sessions are not with MIT faculty, but still are lead by highly achieved AI professionals from across the globe. The assesments and projects are also quite easy and they give you the option to take a more challenging approach in case you want t push yourself a bit further.

Overall, I have no regrets about my decision of taking this course, and I enjoyed my learning experience from start to end.  Read less

The Data Science certificate program from MIT IDSS and Great Learning was an amazing experience! Learning from the minds of MIT faculty, true leaders in data science research, was incredible. The program provided a fantastic foundation in data science through engaging projects and case studies. The flexible online format was perfect for my busy schedule, allowing me to learn at my own pace but the assignments kept me accountable.

No core AI/ML certification program is as well-organized as this one. First, the professors provide a great set of video lectures. These lectures explain the fundamentals and concepts very clearly. The lectures are followed by an excellent set of notes. Any parts that are not clear can be learned from the notes. Interactive mentor sessions further enable us to grasp the concepts. Hands-on sessions in DataIKU provide a practical experience in solving problems in each course. Finally, the programming manager keeps track of our progress very closely. If there is a gap, she alerts us very quickly so that we can stay focused and keep up with the course pace.

I would highly recommend this program to anyone who intends to learn AI/ML techniques. Read less
