This course is demanding, good depth to the subject , great tutors and program mangers, all around good support if you want to advance your knowledge and experience in the field of AI and Machine learning, for non coders it can be challenging, however it gives one full understanding about the AI and it models, how to tune them, how to predict and so on. The course offers a well-structured curriculum covering key AI/ML concepts, including deep learning, NLP, and computer vision.The combination of theory and hands-on projects makes the learning practical and engaging. Overall I would like to give top rating for this course.
I have 15 years of experience in Software development. I wanted to learn Machine learning couple of years ago in self paced manner, but I was unable to achieve it.
With the AI revolution going on everywhere, this time I wanted to learn without giving up and I chose great learning.
My choice didn't go in vain, I have successfully completed the PGP program in AIML. I would not say I became an expert, but I can now say I know Machine Learning.

Content: The Great Learning team has curated the content in such a way that the course is split into multiple chapters. And each week the complexity is increased slightly. Students just need to spend 30 mins a day or less than 3 hours a week to finish it. This was well structured as a course.
Instructors: Great Learning has knowledgable instructors who have good industry expertise. One key thing I liked is, they are happy to answer any silly question and very approachable.
Practical exercises: After every sub module, there is a coding exercise with a sample dataset. This helped me with hands on.
Course format: I think the course format is the key. The course didnot directly jump into ML at first. It first teaches you the basics but again don't spend too much time there. The course structure is giving ample time for our brains to digest the content at a slow pace.
Program assistance: The Program managers are very helpful throughout the program and they are very approachable too and flexible.

I've been enrolled in the PGP in AI/ML course by Great Learning in collaboration with UT Austin for the past few months. I have found the course valuable in teaching the fundamentals of AI/ML topics. It is well-structured, and the quality of the online study videos is quite good. The mentored learning sessions are also very beneficial, and my mentor is highly knowledgeable, taking the time to explain things thoroughly. Each module concludes with a project that allows for hands-on coding practice.However, the course does require a time commitment, as you need to go through the course materials and complete the weekly quizzes. Fortunately, the program manager provides ample support. Despite having a demanding workload, I have been able to manage the course well so far. Moreover, the course offers a certificate from UT Austin, which is a great addition.Overall, I have had a positive experience with this course and would definitely recommend it to anyone interested in starting their journey in AI/ML learning. When I began this course, I had no prior knowledge of Python or its fundamentals & ML. After six months of learning, I now feel confident in the terminologies and techniques I’ve acquired to analyze datasets and apply methods to solve organizational challenges. I attended Great Learning's "Applied Data Science Program: Leveraging AI for Effective Decision-Making."  Such courses weren't offered back in my college days and in today's fast paced world the state of the art of AI is rapidly changing.  I desired to upskill my knowledge and obtain certification as well as a public portfolio of advanced projects to demonstrate my capabilities.

The curriculum is up to the moment, comprehensive and allows for some personal focus for interest and depth.  It also begins with optional pre-courses to ensure all students are prepared with pre-requisites. For major projects GL offers two tracks, either low code, management level programs or full code-oriented deliverables.  You can also focus on an area of interest, although the total options are limited in each area.

Each course is about a week with live lectures on theory in each machine learning arena from world-class MIT professors.  The most valuable portion was the weekly mentorship with industry professionals.  They not only provided guidance on the homework but were a wealth of practical knowledge and career-relevant tips.  It was particularly useful to watch an AI professional respond to a question in real-time by accessing the resources they use themselves.  I frequently used the recorded lectures and professional sessions in addition to complete attendance of all live sessions.

This is a time intensive set of courses which I estimate at 20+ hours per week for complete understanding of the materials.  I found it easiest to follow each course linearly, downloading the resources locally for cross-reference.  The quizzes for each week were a bit light, and easily aced from the provided materials, but the projects were quite challenging and really developed your skills. In addition to the core materials, there was a generous quantity of additional courses and information with in-depth examples.  Timing for courses was difficult for west coast US, with early classes and mentorships commonly starting between 5:30am to 6:30am M/W/F/Sat/Sun, and 1a Tuesday morning due dates.

Support was available, friendly and very flexible in my case.  I worked with my PM to change cohorts to fit with my work schedule and to allow for planned travel.  They were particularly flexible when I had extended out time for illness during the Capstone project period.

I had expected to really hone my machine learning capabilities but left with a real appreciation and understanding for neural network deep learning.  I now feel comfortable stretching my professional interests into areas that I hadn't considered before such as medical research, natural language processing and computer vision.

I highly recommend this program to those desiring a broad relevant skillset in AI problem solving, at a value price point, accomplishable in just a few intense months.

 The "Data Science and Machine Learning: Making Data-Driven Decisions" course offered by MIT IDSS thoroughly addressed essential concepts, making the complexities of machine learning more comprehensible. The projects provided practical applications of these concepts and allowed customization to align with individual career goals, which was highly commendable.
Presenting projects in business-oriented PowerPoint formats markedly improved my learning experience. This method facilitated the translation of technical details into business language and readied me for real corporate environments. The blending of IT with aspects of business management in the course, along with ongoing mentorship and real-world case studies, made the advanced topics accessible and relevant across various industries. The option to deliver projects as business-oriented presentations, in addition to technical coding, helped align my career goals and enabled me to deliver insights effectively.
The course name, "Data-Driven Decision Making and Machine Learning," is aptly named. Furthermore, consistent support from my Program Manager and the Great Learning team ensured a seamless and supportive learning environment throughout the duration of the course.  Read less

This course gave me the opportunity to learn on my own or utilize the MIT resources to improve my learning experience. All course managers and professor were very profession and very well verse in the course. I recently took a course with this training company, and unfortunately, it was one of the most disorganized experiences I've had. Classes were scheduled at the last minute, and multiple times, no instructor even showed up. Communication was solely through WhatsApp, making it impossible to get support or clarification when things went wrong during sessions.
One of the biggest red flags was how they handled reviews. Students are pressured to submit weekly ratings during the course, and since passing depends on their approval, many feel obligated to give 5-star reviews just to avoid jeopardizing their grades. This creates a misleading impression of the company's actual quality.
If you're looking for a structured, reliable training experience, I would strongly recommend finding a company based in the U.S. with better scheduling, accountability, and communication. This was not worth the time or money. Read less

It was invaluable. I did not have enough knowledge in the data science field and was confused about how to start it. However, this course definitely helped me from the start and also gave me a chance to upskill my coding skills. Definitely recommend this course for  folks who are getting started in the Data science and AI field. They cover both AIML related mathematical and coding concept very well. Sometimes the curriculum can be a little hectic but if you give 1-2 hrs everyday. Read less
