Coding Temple has taught me a lot from frontend all the way to backend. During the program I was able to reach any instructor and book an appointment in the Flex program to solve any confusion or issue that I had. Compared to the full time collages I was in I would say that here I learned more of actual coding and can now build full stack robust applications that look sleek and modern! Taking this class was one of the best investments and career decisions I've ever made. I realize first hand that making such an investment can be a scary and nerve racking decision to make but trust me when I say that it will be well worth it in the end! Their curriculum is honestly designed to give you a deep understanding of all the technologies and languages that you'll be using for your career going forward. I am also beyond thankful to have had Ryan Rhoades and Alex Swiggum as my instructors. Their patience, knowledge, dedication, and overall desire to want to see you learn and succeed can not be overstated. Alex and Ryan's teaching style made some of the most challenging and difficult concepts really fun and exciting to learn! The time I got to spend learning with them and my fellow classmates is an experience that I will never forget. I know that much of the future success that I will have as a software engineer will be attributed to the time and work that they put into me to make sure that I have a solid understanding of all the material being taught. I wanted to change my life for the better with a change in my career, so I did all sorts of research on different software engineering bootcamps.  I decided to take a leap of faith with Coding Temple and I am so happy I did.  If I had to compare it to something, I would say its like an unforgettable, first love.  Just like a first love, you dont really know what you are doing, but you are learning along the way.  It is fun and exciting and can also be challenging and difficult at times, but my instructors were there to help guide me along the way.  Alex and Ryan are my instructors and they both have been even more than I could have ever hoped for in instructors.  They both are super knowledgeable, super nice, super patient, super funny, and super awesome!  They both make the curriculum easier to understand and interesting.  I really like how the teaching style is and how there are notes that I could fall back to.  I do wish there were some more complex examples or extra advance information in case I ever need to look back on my notes after I graduate, but other than that, I am satisfied with it.  This whole Coding Temple experience and my time with Alex and Ryan are something I will never forget and will take with me into my software engineering career.  Thank you so, so much for making this an amazing experience and hopefully one of the best decisions I made in my life!   Read less

After searching for nearly a year I came across Coding Temple at the perfect timing. I was ready to enroll in a coding boot camp and luckily I found Coding Temple. The initial process to sign up for the full time boot camp was super easy. They have delivered and exceeded my expectations in every way! In a short 2 months I already know how to build websites from scratch. My teachers Alex and Ryan are the BEST! The criteria and class curriculum in spot in for becoming a successful software engineer. Hello, I graduated from the part-time Full Stack Software Engineering cohort about two weeks ago. I worked a full time remote job while in the program. This course is fast pace, we learned about a topic a week. We had homework every night and most weekends. The weekend projects could be group projects or individual projects. Do not feel discouraged if you & your group cannot get together and complete the project, we changed groups each time, just learn and get your work done.  Learning the backend is very  important, but make sure your frontend is always presentable. Try to challenge yourself and go above & beyond. I would suggest you spend at least a month learning the pre work and looking over the topics and concepts. It will help you get into the program and not feel like you’re out of your league. The program is very time-consuming so make sure you can commit to it. I would start my homework after each class ended, and have my tutoring booked for the next  morning if I needed help. Do not procrastinate, turn in each assignment on time. If you do not like  your grade go back and correct the homework each week. Ask questions , answer questions, stay engaged! Make coding apart of your daily life & everything else revolves around it for a few months, the time will fly. I came into the program with no coding experience and I did very well. 
Remember that other people have completed the course so it can be done , just keep going.

My instructors Christian and Dylan were very knowledgeable, prepared and eager to help. They have a genuine interest in seeing you succeed. They were very engaged, present, and transparent. I never felt like they were phoning it in! Their energy created an environment that kept us motivated, connected, and at our best. I am grateful to have been in their cohort. I am excited about finding my first job in technology and I feel that Coding Temple has prepared me for that opportunity and has opened those doors.  Read less

I just graduated from the part-time Full Stack Software Engineering cohort and it was worth it! I spent about two years learning to code independently, but this course taught me how to program. I would spend a lot of time on one topic and not know when to move on and learn something new. The pace of this course is fast, about a topic a week, with nightly and weekend homework. It's very time-consuming so make sure you can commit to it. My instructors Christian and Dylan were great and knowledgeable on the topics, there are plenty of opportunities to get 1 on 1 help from your instructors and others. Overall, I was apprehensive about doing a BootCamp with so many opinions about them, but I am grateful I leaped from choosing Coding Temple and taking this course.  Read less

I was apprehensive about choosing a boot camp as reviews are scattered no matter where you go; look long enough and you'll find a reason to attend and not to attend every single one. That being said, I'm incredibly happy I decided to join Coding Temple in the part-time cohort and, while it wasn't as comprehensive as a 4-year degree (go figure), it was entirely worthwhile. Christian and Dylan were wonderful instructors and I'm grateful I was able to be in their cohort. Before Coding Temple I had a smattering of CS experience but was largely illiterate, I'm pleased to say that's no longer the case and I'm now ready to pursue bigger and better things.

My advice: apply for at least a month out and, beforehand, take a few self-study courses in the material that will be covered; the pace is brisk but manageable, and much more so if you aren't being introduced to these subjects entirely for the first time. Do that (and ask a lot of questions) and you'll find massive success here and be well on your way to graduating with the ability to hit the ground running when you're done. You will not know everything there is to know but you will be significantly more literate than you were and have a very solid foundation. Read less

The recruiting portion got a little rough, but thereafter once the cohort started, it was smooth sailing for the most part. I did the PART-TIME Full Stack Software Engineering...The Curriculum was difficult, especially coming from knowing NOTHING about coding. Christian and Dylan were absolutely great instructors! They always made sure to ask if there were any questions mid-lecture to ensure everyone was following along & took some time after class to help you with any questions. You do get what you put it...I took time to study for a few hours after class and took a few hours to study before class.

My teachers Dylan and Christian were both very thorough, patient, and helpful throughout. Easy to talk with and to get ahold of. 

I taught myself quite a bit in preparation and it made the first couple of weeks easy, but once Flask kicked in I very quickly got sucked into the black hole and never came back out 😂.

If you are thinking about taking the course, I would recommend learning some of the material ahead of time it gave me some room to work on my capstone throughout the course instead of just at the very end.

I just graduated yesterday and I’m very excited for the next portion where I get moved over to the alumni and job search side of coding temple. 
I obviously don’t have a job yet but I’ll come back and update this when I do with more info on the job search team. 

My classmates were incredible and it was so helpful to have a community of peers who were struggling along with me.

I would have to say that I recommend Coding Temple 10/10 times. My instructors were really cool, you could tell that they had a lot of knowledge to share. I definitely felt challenged throughout the course, but there was always help available. Another great thing that was that I was able to make some friends along the way. I ended up teaming up with the 3 other students where we created an awesome bond. We helped each other through out the course and will more than likely still be in contact long after graduation. I was so excited to learn software engineering.  The program started out great.  Then the recorded code wars sessions were removed. I work full time and having recorded code wars sessions was so helpful.  I made it through half the program and needed more help with flask. I was told to schedule a 30 min session. I didn't have time for that so I ended up getting frustrated with no help.  I definitely wouldn't recommend this program.   Read less

This program is definitely tough and requires commitment but the good thing about this program is that this program does not want to see you fail. Remember it is a BOOTCAMP. It is fast paced. Ryan and Alex (my professors) were extremely patient with all us. They made it easy to come and talk to them if we had any questions or if we didn't understand anything they would explain it until it clicked. Coming in this program, I had little to absolutely no experience and here I am at least getting the basics and more to build websites, apps and so on. It's tough like I said and it can be overwhelming but if you can hang on and push through that, you will be fine. Take advantage of the resources given. Boot camps can be super intense, no doubt about it. But from day one, Dylan and Sean made all the difference. No matter how tough things got, they were right there, cheering us on and breaking things down. Sean's energy? Absolutely infectious. And Dylan? I just want to leave a quick review for instructors Alex, Brendan and Ryan! They were all great instructors and I learned a lot of useful information throughout this bootcamp.
I am appreciative of the structure that the SE bootcamp provides as having structure is essential to be successful in the bootcamp.
The coursework is very fast paced but doable if you dedicate the time and energy to getting the required homework and other tasks completed on time. If you fall behind, you do have time to make it up throughout the cohort, but towards the last few weeks it can be a stressful time to do so. My advice is to put your all into the program, do the homework on time, complete other tasks on time and practice the material taught.

I just completed the cohort and am looking forward to the Alumni side of things. This is the part of the program that prepares graduates for job hunting.
