I had an incredible experience at Coding Temple. The instructors (Flex team—Brandt, Donovan, and Saint) were not only highly knowledgeable but also incredibly supportive and always available to provide guidance. Their continuous feedback and reassurance boosted my confidence and made me feel like I was making great progress. I wanted to share my experience with Coding Temple, and it's not been a positive one, unfortunately. I enrolled in their program in July 2022 with high hopes of finding a job in the tech industry within six months of graduation. I graduated in September 2022, but as of today, I'm yet to secure a job that would allow me to start repaying my loans.



I reached out to Coding Temple multiple times, trying to get some guidance and support in my job search. After a long wait, I finally got in touch with Mike-Lynn. However, the response I received was far from helpful. I was met with empty phrases and essentially told that it's my fault I'm in this situation, along with the classic "pull up your bootstraps" advice. This response not only lacked empathy but also failed to address the real challenges I've been facing.



My current situation is dire; I'm homeless and living in my car, all while desperately trying to secure employment. My intention is not to resort to negative reviews or legal action, but my circumstances leave me with no other choice. I need immediate and meaningful assistance.



I'm reaching out here in the hope that someone from Coding Temple will see this and take my situation seriously. I believe in the potential of the skills I gained from their program, but the promises made have not been upheld.



I'm eager to find a solution and fulfill my financial obligations, but I need Coding Temple's support to make that happen. If you're considering enrolling in their program, I urge you to think carefully about my experience before making a decision.

I had a great experience at Coding Temple. While the pace was challenging for me at times the support they provide is exceptional from pre-work all the way through to post graduation. Brandt did an outstanding job teaching the material, was always there to clarify when I got stuck and even helped me troubleshoot a computer issue halfway through the course. i just got graduated the overall experience is 10/10 very nice bootcamp the staff are great and they just willing to help instructors are very nice and informative specially my instructor Brandt, he is such a cool person as well as a teacher, the way he explains and delivers the ideas to you is great i learned a lot from/and because of him also Brendan was cool too although he was with us only the first 3-4 weeks but he gave us lots of resources where we can learn from, Brandt did great job handling the class on his own for 8-9 weeks. for me the  Curriculum was decent starting with html/css going to python and then SQL  as database following that learning flask a python framework finishing with JS/typeScript and react as frontend frame work I couldn't ask for more tbh. the course wasn't hard but i would say it was above average, if you are someone who loves learning  new stuff or just love learning in general and your punctual enough you will be fine because you gotta keep on working/coding/reading though out the bootcamp, you will have free time some weeks but you gotta keep it ahead don't ever fall behind once you do, it's gonna be hard to catch up also you will learn seriously a lot once i joined i didn't know that much about tech but now i have a decent knowledge which is really cool learning all of this in this short time, one more thing i want to mention is week 5-6 which is gonna be kinda the hardest week because you will be building your first app but don't worry your instructor is there to help after week 6 thing will get better specially when you will learn react, REACT will make life much easier, lastly guys you gotta love what you do and love tech in general, if you don't i am not sure if you will make, thats overall my honest review to the bootcamp and the course in general i enjoyed it, it was really fun i get to know nice ppl, also don't listen or mind bad reviews YOU WILL GET WHAT YOU PUT no room for laziness  guys :)

I recently had the privilege of attending the Software Engineering Boot Camp at Coding Temple with instructors Ryan and Alex, and it's safe to say that my experience was nothing short of excellent.
From the outset, Ryan and Alex demonstrated an unmatched expertise in their field. They navigated the complex world of coding with an admirable finesse, breaking down intricate concepts into digestible, comprehensible pieces. It's clear they both possess a deep understanding of software engineering, and their ability to relay this knowledge in a straightforward and approachable manner was instrumental in my progress.

In summary, the ten weeks I spent under the guidance of Ryan and Alex have been transformative. They've not just taught me the basics of software engineering, but they've also imbued me with the confidence and curiosity to explore, learn, and grow in this field. I would highly recommend this boot camp to anyone looking to gain a solid foundation in software engineering. The course is intense and challenging, but with instructors like Ryan and Alex, every step of the journey becomes an enriching and enjoyable learning experience.

My experience with the bootcamp was moderately satisfactory. The curriculum primarily functions as a launchpad, providing you with the capacity to assimilate new languages and frameworks rather than to gain mastery. Given the constraints of the 10-week full-time course, this approach is understandable. However, the pre-work encourages more reading than hands-on practice, and I noticed that this strategy led to early struggles for a number of my peers. For those considering any bootcamp, it is advisable to initiate your learning process well ahead of the start date. The bootcamp also faltered significantly when it came to maintaining its promised student-to-instructor ratio. They assured a maximum of 12-14 students per cohort, intending to facilitate effective learning and thorough practice of technical interview problems. However, when my cohort began, we were a staggering 28. This blatant misrepresentation was especially aggravating because it was one of the main factors that had swayed my decision towards this bootcamp.


This bootcamp's curricular style veers more towards independent learning, with instructors merely grazing the surface of topics and urging self-study. Homework, while time-consuming, does facilitate the application of the day's concepts. Consequently, the return on investment regarding your education here directly correlates to your effort.

The real shortcoming of the bootcamp lies in the Alumni group. We met an energetic, frank, and knowledgeable woman about six weeks into the course. She was supposed to guide us post-graduation, and we were eager to work with her. Unfortunately, the bootcamp let her and her entire team go, replacing them with less impressive substitutes. The new Alumni lead has a habit of scheduling meetings at the last moment, causing inconvenience, and her team seems ill-equipped for their roles according to their LinkedIn profiles. Additionally, the high staff turnover further strained our experience. Some of the new staff members quit within a week of their appointment, causing considerable disruption. Graduates were left trying to adapt to different people's styles, adding unnecessary pressure in an already stressful transition period.


The bootcamp's 9-month job guarantee is a significant selling point. However, the guarantee comes with stringent requirements that almost seem deliberately designed to frustrate the job search. For instance, the need to apply to 10 jobs per day or 50 per week, coupled with advice to reach out to every recruiter, borders on the impractical without resorting to mass applications on platforms like LinkedIn, thereby diluting the value of the exercise.

In our cohort's Discord, I shared a snippet of a conversation I had with the Alumni's self-proclaimed "Rising Product Manager". This exchange illuminated the hollowness of their support. They congratulated me on my employment while insisting I document it through the same appointment system they had previously ignored. It seemed more an attempt to claim undeserved credit than genuine support. My new job had little to do with their efforts, aside from some understanding I gained about the technical interview process.

Consequently, while the bootcamp did provide a valuable foundation for self-learning, these discrepancies in its promised and actual services significantly tainted my overall experience. The unreliable aftercare support and the misleading student-to-instructor ratio, coupled with the high staff turnover, severely undermines the bootcamp's credibility. It's an area they urgently need to address for future cohorts.

In essence, this bootcamp's value lies in the self-study it pushes you towards. However, its aftercare support needs significant improvement, especially if they wish to continue advertising a 9-month job guarantee.

Coding temple was a great experience learning full stack development. The learning environment was fast paced and thanks to my instructors, Christian and Dylan, I was able to succeed. Not only were Christian and Dylan able to communicate and explain the coursework at a high level but they also always made sure what they were communicating was understood by everyone. They could always tell when I needed to be pushed to go out and find a solution for myself or when I truly needed their extra help with understanding a topic. This course was very difficult and challenged you a lot. But the instructors , Christian, and Dylan give you the tools to succeed. There’s a lot of times where you might question why you are doing what you are doing but you gotta trust the process! I am a stay-at-home with two rambunctious boys, a 2-yr old and 2-month old when I started the program and didn’t have coding experience. I’ve always been intrigued to learn coding and to chance to work remotely. I chose Coding Temple based on the review and now, I can say that was a best choice!    I did the self-paced program and did my lessons and assignments and projects at my own pace-that was the beauty of it. Also, videos were very well put together and the requirements were challenging and satisfying to finish it.  Aside from that they have Codewars workshops and whiteboards that they offer every week. More importantly, shoutout to my lovely TA’s Schadre Dent and Donovan O’Linn who were always responsive and helpful whenever I get stuck, they’re amazing!    If you haven’t picked any coding school yet… then go ahead and inquire at Coding Temple they have lot of courses that they offer. And if you’re a parent who wants to have a job remotely while raising their kid this is a good choice to consider, ‘IF I DID IT, YOU CAN DO IT TOO!’ Read less

I wanted to start off by saying that this course has been challenging. They provide an overwhelming amount of information that is difficult for any person to digest. When I began this course, I had very little knowledge of coding, and progressing from a beginner to a novice in such a program has been a painful process. However, I must express my deep appreciation for the dedicated and exceptional teachers, Sean Currie and Dylan Smith. They are undoubtedly the greatest teachers I have ever had the privilege of being a student of. Dylan is an absolutely brilliant instructor who was able to resolve any coding bugs that arose during the class.


I want to give a special shoutout to Sean. His after-school sessions and encouraging attitude have made this course manageable for me. There were moments throughout the course when I didn't think I would be able to graduate, but Sean was always there to provide that extra push I needed to persevere. I am incredibly grateful that I chose this bootcamp, as the knowledge they imparted is the industry standard and essential for success in the world of web development.

I was still in my senior year of highschool, but I wanted a head start on my career! Coding Temple made that possible with their flex/self-paced schedule! With this I was able to complete lessons on time whenever it was convenient! Though the work was challenging and humbling, I had the help of fellow peers and instructors who I got to know very well, helping me with whatever issues one may face with code or issues with payment/deadlines! I started the Coding Temple cohort in March 13, 2023. I didn't really have any experience with coding or developing before the cohort started except for some free CodeCademy python and javascript basics but not really projects or coding problems. I took the part time course for 12 weeks monday-thursday about 3 hours at night and I thought that the course was very fast paced and you kind of have to figure a lot of stuff out on your own because that is how you learn the best but also there are a lot of good instructors that will help if needed. I had a lot of trouble personally with the work because I couldn't pick it up as fast as others who had prior experience and it was very frustrating but Sarah really helped me out a lot 1:1 with my work and was always there for me when I couldn't understand it after a while and everyone there really cares about the students learning and future. I would say I think that my Coding Temple experience was very good because I had to challenge myself to learn and grow better. I started CT in February and just graduated yesterday. I tried out a couple of bootcamps before CT and knew they just werent for me. The culture, the way the curriculum was set up. I LOVED that the student to teacher ratio was about 1:4 (compared to others bootcamps where its about 1:15). Brendan & Brandt were there ANY time you needed help and made sure you understood what was being taught. No question was a stupid question. They knew we were beginners, and were VERY patient with us. Its hard work and you will HAVE TO study and spend most free time studying and coding to fully understand everything; but thats what you should be doing when you really want to learn something anyway so it goes hand-in-hand. Our instructors made it known it is a very fast paced course and set us up for success every step of the way. Id recommend this course to anyone that wants to learn how to code! I took a huge chance joining the full stack software engineering program. I had concerns that this program would be something that would be too complex for me to fully understand. My instructors - Christian and Dylan completely changed my viewpoint on that after the first week. They assured our entire cohort (including themselves) that we were in this together. They did an amazing job explaining the curriculum through lectures and gave us challenging yet enjoyable assignments. They answered in-depth any questions we had and I believe that everyone in my cohort felt comfortable asking a question whenever we needed to. They encouraged us to form bonds with our colleagues learning alongside us and I believe that helped us all to graduate that much more. This program is definitely a challenging one - but you are given more than enough tools to succeed, and most of the time it is actually very fun as well.  Read less

This is a fantastic course to enroll in f you're looking at breaking into the software development industry. You will not walk away as an expert Full Stack Developer upon graduation. You will build a strong foundation for taking the first steps toward a career in software development. While it's definitely the type of course that you get what you put into it, the course is designed to set you up for success. Having taken this course, I can very comfortably say I have a firm understanding on using and/or integrating CSS, HTML, Python, Flask, SQL, JavaScript and React. Additionally, building applications while using GitHub to store, track, collaborate, and share progress/results is a huge upside. Same with working on group projects. There are very niche subtilities that you learn in this course that you otherwise wouldn't while taking a self-taught curriculum and that's personally where I found the most value. Highly recommend this bootcamp for anybody who is serious about diving into the software development industry, great course.

Special shout out to our instructors Christian and Dylan. This has been the best instructor dynamic I've experienced to date. The two worked very well together in ensuring my class had all the tools needed to successfully learn the material. The result was evident in our capstone presentations where each student demo'd high quality, full stack web applications.

Money well spent for me and a worthwhile investment. Would do again in a heartbeat. Read less

The coding experience and confidence I gained from this boot camp cannot be overstated. In the span of 12 weeks I feel I reached a deep understanding of back end and front end development. The road map was clearly laid out and the staff was around anytime I needed help. They gave a great foundation of information and showed us how to build upon it on our own and with our cohorts. The lectures were well structured and the pacing allowed for more in depth coverage on anything that I felt I didn't understand at first. teamwork and collaboration were just as important as independent work and with every project my instructors were giving helpful advice and critiques.
