Founded in Portugal in 2015, Code for All_ is a social impact startup that offers 14-week intensive and immersive Full Stack Programming Bootcamps. Students are guided through the course by a team of instructors who are graduates of the bootcamp. Code for All_ describes their teaching methods as "peculiar" and aimed at training students to write clean code.
Code for All_'s immersive programming bootcamps welcome beginners of all ages (over 18) and backgrounds (degree not needed) as long as they are willing to fully and passionately commit to becoming professional junior software developers within a short period of time. To apply to the bootcamps, prospective students must complete an online computer science 101 course, submit an online form, complete an online JavaScript tutorial, excel in a JavaScript code challenge, and attend online a workshop day that will be similar to the student experience during the bootcamp.
At each campus, different financing/sponsorship solutions are available to help candidates finance the bootcamp. Terms and conditions are listed on the Code for All_ website.

Absolutely lifechanging
The whole experience was incredible, in the best way possible. Don't be mistaken, it takes hard work. You can't get in and expect for people to think for you if you don't put in the work. Best learning experience in my life!
I learned a lot, even more than I was expecting all the while having too much fun and making new friends for life. I wish i could do it all over again. Brutally intense. Shockingly rewarding.
The experience was extremely demanding, from the enrolment process and fees to the lectures themselves and the events, but the curriculum and the way its delivered is incredibly effective for such a short amount of time. The lecturers are world class, both for technical knowledge but especially and most of all for the sheer spirit they infuse into the lectures and the ambiance they create out of them. The entry barriers are not kind. It's a lot of money and the application process is long. More importantly, it also serves as a filter for people that would not easily fit within the bootcamps rhythm and demands. Some people find a way to go around it, others cheat through it and find a way into the bootcamps anyway. That's the easy part.
The bootcamp does not guarantee you a job, a successful career or even a semblance of a future. It gives you as much as you give yourself to the classes and day-to-day struggles.
It's not easy, nor should it be.
I really liked the experience. Had a great class, great teachers, made relationships and memories I'll take with me for life and I can say with absolute certainty that more than 90% of my colleagues feel the same way.
Will I have a job as soon as I step out of the campus? Probably not. Incredible experience
Fulfilling experience with amazing staff and teachers. With only 14 weeks the depth of the knowledge you acquire from the very root of how a computer functions working through several abstractions makes the whole learning experience way easier as the weeks pass by and the difficulty increases. Apart from the knowledge dump you get throughout the weeks the main part is the teamwork and the overall companionship you get from your peers.
