This course was a really good first step into data analytics, covering advanced Excel, beginner SQL, and Tableau. The instructor and TA were great at conveying concepts and were patient in answering questions. Homework assignments were good practice for getting more comfortable with the material, and we always went over the answers in the following class. This one course isn't enough to prepare you for a data analytics career, but it is a really solid first step. Would recommend! Read less

I attended Digital Marketing course over 10 weeks, got to know a lot of updates happing in this fast growing environment, up to date materials and lots of engagement with real life happening, established a great load of knowledge and applied in connection with real world.

The class was definitely fast paced but I learned so much!! I was able to utilize the lessons for my business and it's been game changer! I loved how the professors took their time to teach lesson and make sure we understood everything. The class support was definitely there and I really liked how everyone cheered for each other during our final presentations. I do wish there was more time to do resume building and I wish Brainstation gave us a list of jobs that were hiring to make the job search easier for the students.  Read less

I took a Product management in-person course. I loved it. It is worth every penny. The instructors are very experienced. They shared a lot of material besides the school slides they shared stories of their own experience. Each class was engaging and effective. I'm planning to sign up for another PM course with BrainStation. Also, customer service is at a very high level. No complaints and no regrets.  Read less

I took the new Product Leadership Course at BrainStation recently. This course was designed for people who are looking to become Product leaders in their organizations, and the reason I took it was to become a better partner to my Product colleagues. The course featured a lot of interesting topics as it pertains to Product, but also focused on areas that I feel aren't well addressed in other Product course such as how to become a great leader, how to manage people, how to create and stick to a product vision etc. I found the instructors to be great, knowledgeable, and charismatic. They kept my attention throughout the course, and I particularly enjoyed the group work exercises throughout the class. If you're looking for a course to improve your knowledge about how to become a Product leader, this might be the course for you! Read less

My experience with Brainstation was very positive.  The material was advanced and up-to-date and the instructor was knowledgeable and clear.   The digital tools they provided were good - the virtual classroom with all of the slides was accessible and clear.  the online learning environment never worked so we used zoom for each class.  I would consider taking another class with them. I recently just graduated from the in-person UX bootcamp and overall it was a great experience. If you do the in-person bootcamp be forewarned, it is ALOT of work. This is due to the projects so a lot of work outside of the bootcamp and weekends are extremely busy putting together things for deadlines. Don't expect too much free time. I would say week 4/5-10 are the busiest. The best things about the experience: instructors have worked in the industry so there is a lot to learn from them. In-person allows you to have a great starting network of UX designers. The content very comprehensive, I felt like we touched on everything possible about UX and had plenty of projects to apply what we are learning. Brainstation seems like a very well oiled machine and the other nice thing is the post-bootcamp career help is very comprehensive. Throughout the bootcamp they build up your resume and Linkedin presence and they have a strong plan after the boot camp to assist in career search. There are areas of improvement though: there were definitely days where there are a lot of "open studio" to work on our submissions to the point where it doesn't feel like we should be forced to go into class. Attendance is important but the way it is measured is a bit silly. Open studio starting at 11am sometimes but you are not allowed to leave until 330 or you will be docked half day absent. There is a 90% requirement of attendance which is a tad high. I feel like attendance should be a bit more flexible on open studio as people work best in different environments. Days where I want to be collaborative/ask questions, I will stay in class but other days I need to focus in a quiet environment and it seems like a waste of time to stay in class for the sake of attendance when all I'm trying to do is put in the work. Also life continues and it would be nice to use some open studio time to catch up on appointments and things without having to inform Brainstation. Lectures should be mandatory but open studio should be OPEN. There were also times where schedules would change on the day of, which makes things difficult to plan ahead for the week. It would be nice if schedules were finalized at the start of the week. Overall, I'm glad I took the bootcamp and I think it sets up up for success in your new career! Read less

I am an entrepreneur, and understanding the basics of Digital Marketing was ideal for me. I didn't know I was going to go beyond that with this course at Brainstation. This course surpassed all of my expectations and I delivered a full report at the end of the course demonstrating my abilities to take on this job full-time if I wanted to. This course was a great way to learn more about the principles of data analytics and more importantly the tools and software used by professionals in the industry today. Especially valuable was access to Tableau since there isn't a free equivalent for you to gain experience with elsewhere (as opposed to excel/Google sheets). I was really impressed by the instructors for their ability to tie back our assignments and learnings to real world examples from their day to day work in data analytics roles. 

The only thing I would have liked to see more of is independent course work to supplement the in class sessions. There isn't the opportunity to get real time feedback on your learning progress outside of the instructors, and it would be nice to revisit some fundamentals you learn in class with additional practice questions. UX Design Bootcamp at BrainStation was one of the best academic as well as professional training experience of my life. I learned a lot at in-person cohort both related to cultural and environmental adjustment as a new immigrant as well as how to start my career in Canada. All the staff is super nice and educators are experienced and brilliant. It will be great to have some prior knowledge and self practice in the field before starting the program as it is fast-paced, competitive and intense. It was worth every second and every penny. I chose BrainStation over other programs because the campus was a convenient location for me. As the course went on, the curriculum surprised me with how rich and practical the content was. My background is in UX/UI design, and I was looking to pivot into software development roles. After 12 weeks, I am confident about my abilities to build full-stack web applications. The most important skill I practiced at BrainStation wasn't about coding but the ability to learn a new concept quickly and efficiently. I thoroughly enjoyed taking the UX Design Certificate course at BrainStation. This course is great for those who are interested in exploring the subject as it provides you with an understanding of the many sub-fields of UX Design. The process of completing your project also helps you gain an understanding of the sort of tasks UX Designers do in their careers. The insights you gather from taking the course and completing your project can guide you in your career.  As someone who has just moved to Canada,I left my old career and the BrainStation family added great value to me on this journey I embarked on with the hope of starting a new career in a new country and in a new language. Fantastically engaging and informative lessons, with a great blend of interaction and lectures to gain a vast amount of knowledge in a short period of time. There was constant support and help throughout from class mates and instructors to make it feel like one big community. The course content is easy to follow along and the instructors were incredibly knowledgeable and skilled at guiding us through the course. It was a lot of material to cover and it only brushes on some topics but I understood it was never meant to be in-depth, which was great for me because it gave me enough grit to get it started and seek out more knowledge on my own. I signed up for this course after completing the Coursera Google UX Certificate online. At the time, I knew I had to continue to develop my skills, but wasn't sure exactly which direction to go. BrainStation provided a structure that strengthened design thinking, enabled collaboration, and pushed students to the next level. I won't lie - this program is intensive - but that's a good thing. Over 12 weeks, my abilities have blossomed with the help of fantastic educators - who all have real industry experience that made lessons engaging and relevant.  I would recommend this program to beginner UX designers who are looking to take their career change seriously. I cannot comment on the job assistance portion as I have only just finished the bootcamp, but I feel confident moving forward with the career support network that BrainStation provides to graduates.  Read less

The course is pretty comprehensive. It's a huge amount of material fit into 3 months, including both the technical and jobsearch material. They walk you through all the concepts, and give you some very helpful notebooks for future reference. 

There's a good sense of community here too, everyone is motivated and hard-working, and despite being online, you really won't feel alone going through it.
