This was a great experience with getting an initial overview of web development and the possibilities of front-end development. I took this more as a personal interest course and feel that I have learned valuable content to help me work with other developers and continue developing my skills. I recently completed the Product Management course at Brainstation London. The course was an excellent applied crash course in product management techniques, from user persona, problem statement and value proposition formulation through to wire framing and considering go to market strategies. Throughout the course the content was augmented by a practical real life project which solidified the learning from class and gave us a real world problem to work through. The use of lean and agile methodologies was very helpful and bridged a gap in my knowledge. The instructors Diana and Aaron were both super helpful and provided feedback on Slack and added their personal experience to concepts within the class. I have already deployed some of the principles in my role at Barclays and have made some great friends and connections through this course.  Read less

Brainstation's in-person software engineering bootcamp is intense, personable, and very well organized. My student success person, Linda, was accessible during my onboarding process and walked me through every step. This is what sold me on the bootcamp - the human touch. Linda readily answered any questions and liaised with other departments to find out answers that she didn't have. My cohort had 16 people, and in some classes, there were 5 educators in the room helping different students out. The level of connection that we had with our educators was awesome and they always sent out their demo code with a list of additional resources shortly after the lectures. The online platform is well-curated with all of the schedule, content, and project submissions. They created events to encourage student connections, but I didn't engage with the social events too much - too concentrated on working.  I would highly recommend this bootcamp to anyone prepared to put in the hours that it demands.  Read less

I completed the Web Development bootcamp at BrainStation in Vancouver, and unfortunately, I cannot recommend it. In my evaluation, the program's cost is unreasonably high considering the value it delivers. The recruiter made numerous assurances that, in my experience, did not hold true, and the overall learning experience did not justify the considerable expense.


While the instructors were satisfactory, I discovered that comparable material could be accessed at a more affordable rate on other platforms. Additionally, the promised career placement assistance was a letdown. The assertion of a 90% job placement rate appeared to be misleading, as a significant number of my fellow bootcamp graduates encountered difficulties securing positions in the industry. This disconnect between expectation and reality was disheartening and raised questions about the accuracy of the information provided during the recruitment process.


Furthermore, the support I received, particularly in terms of career services, fell short of my expectations. Seeking help from the course manager for my resume proved disappointing, as the assistance provided was generic and lacked the personalized touch emphasized as part of the package. It felt like a one-size-fits-all approach, and the pledged individualized support was conspicuously absent, leaving me questioning the value of the services included in the package.


In contrast, my husband attended a bootcamp at another institution that not only cost less but also provided more effective and personalized assistance. The contrast between our experiences highlighted the notable shortcomings of the BrainStation program.


In conclusion, I strongly advise potential students to conduct thorough research and carefully evaluate their options before enrolling in the BrainStation bootcamp. My intention in sharing this feedback is to offer an honest account of my experience and contribute to the enhancement of such programs in the future.

I studied the software engineering bootcamp at BrainStation in September 2023. I have never felt so rewarded from education. Teachers were amazing - campus was beautiful - support was incredible. Brainstation host a hackathon for all disciplines which allows you to win the opportunity to study a course for free. I recently completed the Product Management course at BrainStation and for me personally it was absolutely worth the investment. 
The course is well-structured, covering essential aspects like product strategy, Agile, prototyping, and go-to-market strategies. What stood out for me was the hands-on, project-based approach, which made the learning process practical and applicable to real-world scenarios.

I cannot say enough good things about the Brainstation Digital Marketing Certificate course. So much knowledge is packed into this bootcamp that I know will be useful in my future career endeavours. I truly feel like I have a high level understanding of several of the components taught in this course. I was pushed out of my comfort zone multiple times throughout the group-work exercises and final project. The instructors are very thorough, knowledgeable and extremely helpful. I do think it'd be neat to have an exclusive job bank with job postings for employers seeking those with Brainstation credentials.  Read less
