This is honestly a great program but, you have to be motivated to put in the hard work. The code isn't going to write itself so you have to research and work your way through things but this is an amazing course, I loved the whole experience. It was an intense 3 months but, I got through it and gained so many new skills as well as having a change of mentality about how I work. Highly recommend BrainStation.

    Best Instructors for sure!!!

For anyone looking to level up in SEO, SEM, Google analytics, this is literally the place to be. The courses are taught not just by professors (though the amazing professors don't get me wrong), but by industry experts who work at the jobs, we are trying to get! They're actually just amazing - they have the personality where they actually teach practically, and they have examples from daily jobs that are incredibly helpful, along with lots of little tips and tricks which led to an overall amazing experience

Super grateful for my amazing instructor, Graham Williams! Highly recommend.

    User Experience Design

I'm impressed with the amount of information and skills I acquired through my UX Design course at Brainstation. Mina skillfully and pleasantly guided us through conceiving a problem, to creating a solution via a clickable prototype, and the many steps in between. The online classroom experience was amazing, and I made friends all over the world.

    Data Science Course is Fantastic!

The data science course is great for those who have some background in Python and data analysis. Through this class, I learned how to clean and model data, which is the basics of machine learning. The teachers were fantastic and they related everything to practical use. It's fast-paced, but the teachers are great at keeping you up to speed. I would highly recommend this class to anyone who's looking to start on machine learning and data modeling.

Had a great experience with the course. Definitely not as intense as a bootcamp as this was just a certificate course, but instructors were all willing to help outside of class time and had great feedback. Would recommend this to people who are unsure of whether or not they would like UX/UI as a warm up :-)

I came in with a list of things I wanted to learn, by about week 6 we had covered 80% of the advanced concepts I wanted to know about. In the following 6 weeks we learned way more then I thought was even possible. I feel extremely well armed to be able to thrive in the market now. I was even able to land a job before even being done school.

I was surprised by the experience. Even though it is an online course, you get to learn a lot! This is really a fast-paced Bootcamp, and you need to give more than your 100%, but it is definitely worth it. With their Power Hours, you get to learn more about the industry and what is happening now. You also get to practice real-life projects with their Hackaton and Sprint 2, where they partner with big companies.

    Excellent Courses!

As an older student I wondered if I would be able to keep up with this course as well as the course on UI Design that I was taking at the same time. The instructors did a great job explaining concepts and were readily available when I had questions. I feel that I've learned a lot of valuable information that will be very useful for work. I enjoyed the breakout room activities working as a team. It was an action packed 10 weeks that kept me busy and I enjoyed the process. I would definitely take a class from BrainStation again.

I loved the education I received at BrainStation, the instructors and career accelerator team have provided so much value to my professional development.

    Why choose Brainstation

    a) you're ready for an upgrade that will actually give you the confidence to move your career forward

    b) you want to learn the best most up to date skills from the best instructors

    c) You want to take a bootcamp that recruiters will respect and notice on you CV & Linked in

    d) Meet great people and be exposed to an incredible network that you can have for life

    e) You've been waiting to do something you really love and are ready to increase your satisfaction in work and life.

I thought about joining BrainStation for over 2 years. I am so happy I finally pulled the trigger, the investment feels so worthwhile.

Don't wait, contact brainstation and book an appointment with one of their advisors. Once I did, I was was convinced. I really believe the BrainStation bootcamp is the real deal. Years after I finished my first degree BrainStation has enhanced my confidence and reinvigorated my passion for continued learning.

I'm taking the time to leave this detailed review because I wish someone would have helped me start sooner.

If you only take one thing away from this review, let it be this. I felt more passion from BrainStation's faculty in three months than in my entire 4 years at uni. They care immensely about the service they provide and about the student journey. BrainStation is worth it.

    UX Design

Brainstation's UX Design course gave me the complete understanding of the field of UX which I was looking to get. Throughout the course, we were able to apply our learning from each week to a project that we were building to present at the end of the course. The structure was friendly and the instructors were very helpful with explaining concepts, giving real world examples and answering questions during class and later, on Slack. If you're looking for a good understanding of UX, this course is it! It will start you up and you can build from there very confidently.

My experience at BrainStation was a 10/10!

This was my first time taking a course at BrainStation and I couldn't have asked for anything more. In the span of 10 weeks, I was able to gain skills in programs such as Sketch, Flinto and InVision. The lectures focus on the theory as well as hands on learning. At the end of the course, you have a final project that is completed to add into your portfolio. I would highly recommend BrainStation for anyone looking to advance their skills in a certain area. I look forward to taking more courses here in the future.

    UX Design Student

BrainStation is a fast-paced bootcamp and it's great for novice UX Design students because you get to learn from educators who are UX professionals that have examples and stories from their own experiences. There are some educators who are amazing and patient during lectures and there are some who zip through it. The diploma is condensed so every week moves very quickly - I'm able to schedule 1-on-1 times with TAs and educators whenever I am confused or need feedback to get myself back on track. Taking this bootcamp is a great stepping stone for me, as a novice, because it gives me a good introduction and a solid base to dive deeper into a specific aspect of UX and UI. Another thing I respect about BrainStation is that they have the connections that leverage us to partner with different big companies - my cohort was able to work on a design sprint with Hello Fresh, a 4D 24-hour hackathon with Google, and many power hour talks throughout the program! I am able to include these projects into my portfolio and resume that they also assist us with too. Make sure to double check with scholarships and that they are applied to your payments - there are a few options that may apply to you and there was a student in my cohort who did not receive it when she really should have gotten it. Best of luck, I hope this helps!

Great School for Data Analytics and Data Science

It is important to understand that bootcamps are made to open the first door to worlds like data science and data analytics. Taking a 3 or 6 month bootcamp will not automatically make you a data scientist, but it will teach you fundamental concepts, provide the basics to understand what they are all about, and tools to start solving real problems. To become a data analyst or a data scientist you don't just need the bootcamp, it takes time and practice to master the tools and programs involved in these areas. What I can assure you is that Brainstation does an excellent job in giving you tools and knowledge to succed in these two paths. Before starting my three certifications with them in Data Science, Data Analytics and Python, I was only very good at Excel and Tableau and other Business Intelligence applications and data management software; but I had no knowledge of programming, Python, SQL or Machine Learning. After finishing the courses I feel that I understand what each language is made for, and how to use them; I learned new things from Excel and Tableau where I thought I knew almost everything, and I can solve basic to intermediate tasks using SQL and Python now. But I have to repeat this, practice, hard work, and curiosity are a must for you to become a Data Scientist or to find a succesful career in Data Analytics!

I would recommend this course not only for beginners who want to understand more about these topics, but also for managers of technology areas who want to know the breath of these languages in order to manage their teams more efficiently.

    10 Week Digital Marketing Course

As a global leader in digital skills training, I knew there was no better place for me to continue my education in the realm of digital content marketing than BrainStation. Despite the common challenges of virtual learning (especially during a pandemic), BrainStation has done a great job of utilizing digital mediums to facilitate high-level, well-paced learning opportunities for individuals like myself who are eager to advance their industry knowledge. I have worked in content marketing for the last 5 years, so much of the course material was a bit of a refresher for me but, nonetheless, it was valuable and I appreciated the industry insights provided by the course instructors. I met some great people in my class, and only wish that we had all benefitted from in-person networking opportunities which, unfortunately, aren't possible right now.

Data Analytics Certificate is worth it! Highly recommend!

If you're looking to become a solid data analyst, this is the course for you! I really wanted to get a better understanding about the work of a data analyst, and how to work more closely with data in my day -to-day life, so I took this course to help me understand how to interpret data and present it (either in a professional setting, personal writing and also within the scope of my job)

My cohort was taught by instructors from Hootsuite and Uber who were both really passionate about the topic and help you understand how you would take the knowledge on the job. They really took the time to help us understand the homework and course materials outside of class hours and were approachable whenever we had questions.

I learned so much about how to approach real-world problems and examples and create a way to tell a story with data. I learned how to write SQL commands and scripts in our databases, Excel advanced formulas and also how to visualize data on Tableau, all amazing skills to take with you on any career path you choose, I really recommend taking this course!

They were also really good and helping you understand the career paths you can take as a Data Science, Data Engineering and Data Analyst, so you'll be equipped to take on a entry-level role or dive deeper into the topic as a full time professional.

    Data Science - Part-Time

I've had good experiences with Brainstation. I've now taken both their Data Science and Machine Learning certificate programs, and I'll be commenting on the Data Science one here.

First off, the instructors I've had have been top notch. Andrew was my instructor this go round, and it was evident that this guy works data science for a living. You can tell by the way he codes, changes code on the fly at such speed, and debugs code when it's not working. He also seems to be genuinely enchanted with Data Science as a whole. He answered all questions, even my dumb questions, clearly and cleanly.

The course content itself is solid. I highly recommend you know Python prior to taking this course, rather than just knowing a programming language in general. Everything is coded in Python from day 1, to include using some more "advanced" features like list comprehensions, so having a good grasp of Python I think is integral to your experience with these courses. The only thing I really wasn't high on in the course content was the Statistics section; it's simply too large and broad of a topic to cover in the scope of this course. In my opinion, a basic statistics background should already be had before jumping into Data Science. Most classes and topics are like that, but the statistics portion really stuck out to me.

Jupyter notebooks are provided, so the material is flexible and easy to work with. The instructors provide solutions-included notebooks after the lessons, which is handy for someone like me that wants to watch them work the problems and then figure them out in my own manner later.

Due to the nature of these part-time courses, and the material covered in such a short time, don't expect to just listen to lectures and be good at Data Science. You will need to work through the Jupyter notebooks on your own time, and do additional research on your own as well. This should be expected for anyone who has ever coded before, but for those who might think it's a sit back and learn it all class, it's not that easy.

A hanging point for some people is that there's no 'job guarantee' or assistance with BrainStation. To those folks, I ask you do you truly believe that you're going to get a dream job out of a bootcamp's career assistance or guarantees? I think it's a worthless perk for the average student because you're going to have to know your stuff to be successful in the field anyway, and if you don't know your stuff, you're probably not going to stay in that job long even if it's given to you. It may work out for some, but I didn't see it as a requirement.

Overall, I would recommend BrainStation to others, particularly if your company is willing to help with the tuition.
