    Insightful. Collaborative. Cohesive

I highly suggest taking this UX course in person! UX design is a joint collaboration and feedback, and for an accelerated course, it has a more immersive experience when you get to talk to fellow students and professors. I can see how I can apply what learned in my career, without feeling overwhelmed.

UX Design was exactly what I was looking for!

I had a wonderful experience taking the UX Design course at BrainStation’s Miami campus this spring/summer. It’s a very fast pace Figma-based course, so practicing the software and keeping up with the pace of the class is key. I really enjoyed all the knowledge the instructors brought to the classroom, from their real work day to day. As a former Creative Director, I highly recommend it if you are looking to expand your skills or pivot your career!

Data Analytics Course has Room for Improvement

The course could use more practice problems with solutions available to compare your answers. The instructor I had was not very engaged in the course as they were doing it as a side job. They did not come prepared to class and we had a lot of silent moments when they had to fix or solve something. We also heard "let me google that" a lot, which just shows how the instructor did not prepare the class ahead of time. Additionally, the instructor was not very skilled at explaining concepts. The TA was somewhat useful but they did not get involved often enough to make a difference.

    Product Management at BrainStation

I recently had the incredible opportunity to take the Product Management course with  Instructors Stacy and Matthew, and let me tell you, it was absolutely phenomenal! Stacy's expertise and enthusiasm were simply infectious. Her ability to break down complex concepts into easily understandable pieces made the course a breeze to follow. And Matthew's real-world experiences as a product manager added a practical and relatable touch that brought the material to life. The course content was comprehensive and well-structured, with relevant case studies and interactive exercises that kept me engaged throughout. The emphasis on collaboration and teamwork was a game-changer, and the instructors' accessibility and support were second to none. I can't recommend this course enough to anyone looking to dive into product management or level up their skills.

    Good for starting new career

I took UX certificate course at BrainStation for shifting my career. The course has 8 classes and they cover basic knowledge about UX design through a project. I felt a bit tight schedule to learn whole process of UX design in this course. We have to use Figma which is a key tool for UX design. Probably it will be a bit difficult to go through this course without Figma knowledge, but you can ask anything to learning support team with Slack. The teachers are professional, and they advised me a lot of things about my project.

    From nothing to a plan.

The mix of in-person lessons and Brainstation's digital education platform was perfect for me. In-person classes fostered open discussion, and the tutors could more easily share personal anecdotes, while the digital element allowed me to easily refer back to all of the previous lessons when I hit a snag, or even have a quick look at the next week's lesson to get a head start on some of the concepts. Great platform and knowledgeable teachers, I highly recommend it.

    Great introductory course

Over the course of 8 weeks, our experienced teachers taught us what product management entails, using examples from their extensive careers. The lessons were highly interactive and the whole group was engaged. Having to submit a final project really helps you practice what you learn over the course of the lessons.

A solid foundation for data analytics

The Data Analytics class was an incredibly fun learning experience. The course covered database structures, SQL, Tableau and some basic presentation skills. All in all, it felt like a solid starting point in data analytics. The instructor was knowledgeable, approachable and fun to be around, and always available to clarify concepts and answer questions.
The class structure was mostly well-organized, with a mix of lecture and lab content during the sessions supplemented with assignments that had practical application.
However, the pace of the lectures occasionally felt rushed, especially with complex topics. More review of the labs/assignments would have been helpful to improve understanding. However, the latter and more complex exercises generally felt like they were building practical skills.

Overall, I highly recommend the Data Analytics class. It provides a solid foundation and equips learners with the skills to apply basic analytics in real-world scenarios.

    Immersive, Practical, Skill-Building

The 10-week data analytics course offered me a comprehensive and practical learning experience as an aspiring data analyst. I gained valuable skills in building and managing databases, effectively organizing and analyzing large quantities of data. I also learned techniques to identify trends and relationships within datasets, enabling me to extract meaningful insights. A key highlight of the course was the module on presenting insights using Tableau. I developed the ability to create visually dynamic dashboards, effectively communicating my analysis results. The hands-on approach, guided by knowledgeable instructor, ensured practical application of the learned concepts.
Overall, the course provided me with a well-rounded education in data analytics within a condensed timeframe. I gained the necessary skills to navigate and analyze data effectively, empowering me to make informed decisions. By the end of the course, I emerged with enhanced analytical abilities and the confidence to contribute meaningfully in the field of data analytics.

    Data Science Certificate Course

I have recently completed a data science certificate course and I must say, it was exceptionally well-executed. The instructor was not only knowledgeable but also had significant industry experience, which greatly enhanced the learning experience. One of the highlights of the course was the abundance of industry-specific knowledge and practical skills that the instructor shared. These insights were invaluable for understanding the intricacies of day-to-day work in the field of data science.

What made the course particularly effective was the opportunity to apply the newly acquired skills through engaging case studies. This hands-on approach allowed us to gain a deeper understanding of the concepts and methodologies taught in the course. Moreover, we culminated our learning journey by working on a project and delivering a presentation, which further solidified our understanding and showcased our capabilities.

As a result of this course, I now feel well-equipped to take the next steps in my career journey. I am confident in my ability to apply the skills and knowledge I have gained to real-world data science challenges. This course has undoubtedly provided me with a strong foundation and the necessary tools to excel in the field. I am excited to leverage my newfound expertise and embark on the next phase of my professional growth.

    Intense yet supportive & practical

The main reasons I chose this program above any other was the accountability I would get with a schedule for my personal learning style and the opportunity to work on a project collaboratively with web dev and data analysts.

I took the part time course but it is by no means a part time course after unit 1. Be prepared to commit to the course load. Much of what you get back from this program is what you put in and the most valuable input is the feedback you get from your teachers and TA's on your projects. Although there were some moments of disconnect with the flow of the curriculum, getting real time feedback from those already in the industry was extremely valuable and they care about your learning experience. When the program ends, the support from the career accelerator continues to help you network, prepare for interviews and help you stay accountable to your job search. I'm appreciative of the way they have structured their education to help me with this career transition. If you are looking for a career shift, I recommend you to consider BrainStation.
