Uvaro is a community-based educational program that offers online career success programming with a focus on tech sales. Uvaro offers part-time and full-time courses that range from 4 to 12 weeks, a large variety of workshops that are 1 to 2 hours in length, plus free on-demand video programming. Uvaro is a community-based educational program that offers online career success programming with a focus on tech sales. Uvaro offers part-time and full-time courses that range from 4 to 12 weeks, a large variety of workshops that are 1 to 2 hours in length, plus free on-demand video programming. Uvaro members learn common SaaS tools, Code, Cloud, and AI, SaaS sales terminology and metrics, prospecting and qualifying leads, the art of the pitch, negotiating and closing contracts, salesforce and CRM 101, social selling and relationships, and theories of sales. Members will learn through online video and text-based discussions with instructors and classmates in a cohort system. For those enrolled in either the full-time or part-time programs, live instruction is supplemented with interesting offline assignments and practice sessions that can be completed on a member's own time.
Uvaro’s career success programming is open to all applicants from any field or background. No prior sales or tech experience is required.
Members have access to continuous career coaching before, during, and after taking specific courses. Career coaches work with members to identify long-term professional development opportunities. Uvaro charges a monthly fee for service, but provides deferred subscription agreements for members whose incomes do not meet a minimum threshold, and has a variety of scholarship partners who can arrange to waive fees completely.

A life changing experience, truly!
Sure, Uvaro teaches an incredible amount of knowledge and arms the student with practical skills to be successful, both drawing from tried and true methodologies but also cutting edge practices. And, yes, Uvaro regularly brings in tech industry leaders and veterans to speak about real experiences and applications. Okay, yeah, Uvaro pairs all that alongside an extremely through career coaching program.
But what really sets Uvaro apart is how incredibly devoted and invested every me...Sure, Uvaro teaches an incredible amount of knowledge and arms the student with practical skills to be successful, both drawing from tried and true methodologies but also cutting edge practices. And, yes, Uvaro regularly brings in tech industry leaders and veterans to speak about real experiences and applications. Okay, yeah, Uvaro pairs all that alongside an extremely through career coaching program.
But what really sets Uvaro apart is how incredibly devoted and invested every member of the staff is, from the instructors and recruitment folks to the CEO. In the many, many years of schooling I've gone through, I've never seen this level of involvement, nor have I heard of anything similar from anyone else I've spoken with who have gone through other schooling or gone through bootcamps.
It's tough to not come out of Uvaro a changed person. I know, it sounds hyperbolic, but I don't know how else to convey this! It's truly been an amazing 12 weeks and I very much look forward to continuing to build on the strong relationships I've forged through the program.Joseph Fung of Uvaro

Amazing Experience
Top to Bottom Uvaro was beyond what I expected going in. Detailed lessons on every single aspect of Saas sales and business structure I could've thought of, and many I never would've thought of!
It's an overwhelming experience at the beginning, as you're loaded with new terms, information, and thought processes. As the course progresses this theory is put more into practice with projects, roleplay, and hearing directly from CEOs and founders of Saas companies and sales leaders acr...Top to Bottom Uvaro was beyond what I expected going in. Detailed lessons on every single aspect of Saas sales and business structure I could've thought of, and many I never would've thought of!
It's an overwhelming experience at the beginning, as you're loaded with new terms, information, and thought processes. As the course progresses this theory is put more into practice with projects, roleplay, and hearing directly from CEOs and founders of Saas companies and sales leaders across industries.
Beyond that, the team works with you to develop your LinkedIn profile, resume, and full application package. This is coupled with interview prep, and direct introductions to employers that are hiring.

More than just sales
Being part of Uvaro's first cohort was both a privilege and a responsibility. A privilege as I was able to learn directly from Joseph himself, and a responsibility as our actions dictate what happens to future cohorts. Highly Competent Teachers! Great Community! You Get What You Put Out of It!
All the instructors have been in the industry a long time, and about all of them are still doing sales or entrepreneurship apart from teaching. The curriculum is hyper focused on skills that are actually industry relevant to tech sales (I took the 4-week course). If you take advantage of the community, you can learn from the hundreds of grads that are actually thriving in the tech sales industry, as they are all incredibly easy to connect with. Before Uvaro, I had one friend in the tech ...All the instructors have been in the industry a long time, and about all of them are still doing sales or entrepreneurship apart from teaching. The curriculum is hyper focused on skills that are actually industry relevant to tech sales (I took the 4-week course). If you take advantage of the community, you can learn from the hundreds of grads that are actually thriving in the tech sales industry, as they are all incredibly easy to connect with. Before Uvaro, I had one friend in the tech sales community, but now I have over 300 LinkedIn connections and I'm friends with several high-level salesmen whom I hang out with weekly (outside of Uvaro, but Uvaro helped).
Risks To Account For: Though the 4-week course only has 10 hours of class a week, you should dedicate an extra 10 to job search and practicing what you learned through their out-of-class workshops. Hard skills like cold calling, interview prep, and job search strategy require more hands-on experience and coaching. If you choose to take the course during Sep-Dec, know that the job market for SDRs/BDRs is a fifth of what it normally is during the rest of the year, so be prepared to spend another one to two months job searching. People are still getting hired during this time, but it will take longer.
Suggestions for Improvement: The SDRs that I've been talking to use tech stacks like sequencing tools (Outreach, Salesloft), data tools (Apollo & ZoomInfo), and dialer (Kixie, Connect&Sell, and MonsterConnect).
