1,767 Reviews 9 Courses

Springboard is an online learning platform that prepares students for the tech industry’s most in-demand careers with comprehensive, mentor-led online programs in software engineering, data science, UI/UX design, cybersecurity, tech sales, and more. All Springboard courses are 100% online, remote, and self-paced throughout an average of 6-9 months. Springboard acts as a support system, coach, and cheerleader for working professionals who are ready to level-up or make a major career shift. Students have access to a unique community of industry mentors, thought leaders, and alumni, who are on hand to offer insights, networking opportunities, and support throughout the program and well past graduation. Every Springboard student is matched with a personal student advisor and industry mentor who guides them throughout the program through regular video calls.

To apply, applicants fill out an online form, take an aptitude test, then talk with a school representative about their background and motivations. For the data science career track a background in statistics and/or programming is required. For the UX career track, students should have academic or professional background in user design or development-oriented fields.

Before graduation, Springboard’s career services team supports students in their job search, helping prepare them for interviews and networking, and facilitates their transition into the tech industry. Springboard's programs are backed with a Money-Back Guarantee.

Springboard’s support does not end when students graduate. All graduates benefit from an extensive support network encompassing career services, 1:1 career coaching, networking tips, resume assistance, interview prep, and salary negotiation. Since Springboard was founded in 2013, 94% of eligible graduates secured a job within one year, earning an average salary increase of $26,000.

    Student Advisor

    Nov 10, 2022

    Hi Lauren,

Thank you for taking the time to share about your experience, we're sorry to hear that our program did not meet your expectations. We set a really high standard at Springboard to support students towards a positive learning experience and are truly sorry that that standard was not met while you were in the course.

It sounds like you would have benefited from having more practice opportunities with feedback from industry professionals. Providing such opportunities is an integral part of our course model, and we apologize if we came up short in your case. Our Software Engineering Career Track Prep curriculum consists of the best resources available for learning the foundations of software engineering, as curated by our team of both industry experts and instructional designers. Throughout the course, students have access to a number of resources and subject matter experts who can provide support and feedback on exercises: weekly calls with your assigned mentor (one each week for the full 6 weeks), Teaching Assistants available for live chat directly through the course dashboard, weekly office hours hosted by a mentor, as well as an online Slack community where students can ask and answer questions with their peers, alumni, and professionals in the field. If you were not aware of any of these resources and how to take advantage of them, that's a miss on our part, and we sincerely apologize.

We'd love to connect with you to hear more about your experience and learn how we could have done better. If you are open to discussing this with us, please reach out to advising@springboard.com and we'd be happy to schedule a call.

    Sincerely,
    Dave Austin
