The data science program goes quickly through the material and doesn't have any fluf. They give you face to face mentors and are quick to respond with problems you may have. The tuition is about $10000 and their classes are mostly data camp. You are paying for the person interaction and job search help. Which if you can keep up with their requirements and don't get a job you get your money back. Read less

Overall, my experience with Springboard was quite positive. The thing that really stood out was the mentorship that I didn't receive in my four-year degree. I was coming in from a four-year degree in psychology and looking to polish my UX/UI skills in addition to the User Research skills I gained during my degree. If you're a bit of a perfectionist like me, having the structure of a course rather than self-learning so you don't get stuck in a loop of it not being good enough is really, really helpful. I cannot state that enough. My mentor had worked for Fortune 500 finance companies and was currently working in the UX field. Actual hiring managers also reviewed our projects. I came away with skills and a portfolio that I'm proud of, and I think that was owed in large part to the quality of the Mentor that I was paired with so my experience may differ from yours, but if any of the other mentors are like the one I got then Springboard is absolutely worth the time and effort as well as the cost. 

Speaking of the cost, I really wish they would just get rid of the job guarantee as a way to get you into the program. I think if you're going into a program primarily with the motivation of saving money or not having to pay money, versus the quality of education, then you're not going into it the right way. This is still cheaper than a master's degree, but whether you'll need a master's degree depends heavily on your field. I don't see too many UX designers with them, so I don't know how necessary it is. You also get six months of job help after graduating, which is intensely valuable. Again, you could learn this on your own and save the money. Most of our course materials were stuff you could just look up on YouTube, but you won't come away with something as polished generally without the structure and guidance that a mentor can provide. I wish all universities were like this bootcamp as far as the mentorship model. Again, if you take your time and go longer than the nine months and self-pay, you'll come away with the quality portfolio, but most of the negative reviews are from people who tried really, really hard to finish in the nine months, which is rushed in my opinion. I think Springboard should be a year and a half or two-year program, and that most people won't come away with a competitive portfolio if they rush to meet the nine-month deadline to get the job guarantee. So please be OK with spending a bit more money, and take your time. Accept that you might have a little bit of debt and come away with a polished portfolio with their excellent mentors. 

If you can afford to take your time with it and potentially not get that guaranteed refund, then I highly recommend Springboard, but if your primary motivation is to come away without taking on any financial burden, then I think that would be extremely difficult to do without compromising your portfolio and just generally difficult to do in the first place. There's a lot of fine print and most people I know either took longer than the recommended time or didn't qualify for the job guarantee refund for a lot of other reasons. I highly recommend Springboard for those looking to polish their UX/UI skills. Read less

For the Springboard Software Engineering Career Track, the well-structured, self-paced format is a major strength. With a consistent effort of dedicating time daily, it's possible to complete the comprehensive curriculum in 7–8 months.
The bootcamp's project-based approach allows you to build a full-stack application by the end of the course, providing hands-on experience. Attended the Data Science course program, had a very difficult time getting the right mentor assigned to my needs and style or learning. I had no choice to drop out and then the school continues to refuse to refund me even thought I could drop out and get a refund. I am seeking legal advice since the school is not cheap and school refuse to give me a refund even though it clearly states in the signed agreement by both parties. I would ask other students about the school and experience before signing up as school is for profit and it does have student best interest. Read less

Coming from a non-IT background, I initially found it quite challenging to grasp the technical concepts introduced during the boot camp. One of the best benefits of Springboard was the structure that it provided me. I was sorely lacking discipline on in my self-study process, so I reviewed this program, and had a great feeling. Fast forward today, and I have walked from Springboard more confident, well informed, and hopeful. The courses, and labs were plentiful in information, and gave you direct experience with the Cybersecurity world. The support service was quick, flexible, and understanding. The my mentor was the difference was patient, kind, and super encouraging. One of a kind. One piece of feedback I'd offer is to change the comptia sec+ section to Professor Messer.
