I've had so many "false starts" learning how to code from various different sources and eventually came to the conclusion I just couldn't do it. SheCodes changed that! The clear, bite-size instruction videos, example code snippets, challenges and homework tasks are such a great way to see progress and make it all feel manageable and achievable. Now I feel I have a solid foundation to build upon and I'm excited to see where I go from here. Thank you SheCodes! -

Great start to the coding world
I have had a great time learning how to code with SheCodes. It not only teaches and gives suggested answers to each tutorials, but also allows us to ask questions when we face problems with our coding. Besides, the deadline of each week's homework disciplines me to pass up my project on time as I tend to procrastinate a lot. For me, it was the best decision to sign up for SheCodes. -

It is amazing how much I was able to learn in only 3 weeks! The course is extremely well structured, all the steps and videos are very clear. I really like the teaching system: Learn - Challenge - Solution. It makes things easy to understand and gives the opportunity to try right away what I just learned. Matt is a great teacher - Bravo! I recommend this course to anyone who's curious and open to learn new skills, but doesn't know where to start. That's the right place to be :) -

Practical and easy to follow
Great introductory course. I feel satisfied with the knowledge, feel empowered to create my own landing page, and inspired to follow on with my learning! The classes are practical with tasks that build on previously introduced knowledge and are easy to follow. -

“This workshop helped me further my skills in a field I've never explored. It feels so satisfying to be able to create something and see it grow and improve before your very eyes! Matt is a great teacher and breaks up things so that every concept is more manageable for absolute beginners like me. I've really enjoyed the beginner workshop and I'm taking up the advanced workshop, because I really want to know more and improve constantly. Moreover, it also feels so empowering for women. If you look for coding workshop online, you are very likely to find only men coding portrayed in their ads and that does not look inclusive. I'm so happy I discovered SheCodes and gave it a try!” -

“I had so much fun learning the basics of Front-end coding with SheCodes! The way the course and the activities are structured, helped me loads in order to understand the lessons in a better way. Moreover, the video-tutorials, the challenges in each unit and the Slack group support, allowed me to achieve all the challenges by myself; they even made get more attracted to the programming industry and all its potential. I really liked the format and you are very independent about your learning. I think this course is very friendly for newcomers to the coding industry and very easy to follow.
I would just mention that sometimes the videos are not really cutting to chase and repetitive. Also, at times there are some mistakes (not on the given information) / lack of script.
The profile could use a little makeover in the sense that all the information is not really gathered in one place but, all over. Also, there's not really a profile per se, it's only settings which is slightly confusing. -

Best way to get to know coding!
SheCodes courses was really great new experience. I am already enchanted and looking for new levels of coding. I really enjoyed all videos, given information, also Matt Delac has good English and nice voice, which really helped me not to scared of all amount of new tools. One more advantage was timing as it is online and i could managa my time accordingly other activities. -

The videos contain concise and clear explanations, the challenges make us immediately practice what we have learned and the final project has an effect of satisfaction for having to use everything that was taught during the modules. Can't believe I did it! I am so bad with logical and maths stuff from my childhood and I would never thought I could understand coding. Nothing is impossible, and actually it doesn't ask for same skills than scientist stuff. Matt's courses are really clear and I loved doing exercices step by step to understand all the pictures. It will help me a lot into my new UX designer career! I highly recommend SheCodes! -

The SheCodes Beginner workshop was great!!! I liked that it was self-paced so I learned at my own pace/time but that motivated me to stay on top of the lessons weekly. The challenges at the end of the lessons were a good way to put into practice what Matt taught. Overall, I think this workshop is a great place to start and it's definitely peaked my interest in coding. I'm really happy & proud of the page I put together for my final project. -

Though I did not have any academical background knowledge I have always been passionate about having some coding skills. SheCodes program was the perfect solution for me as I was looking for online workshops suitable for a beginner. There was clear objective of each class so I knew what I will be learning each time. Matt was an amazing teacher also. With his explanation I managed to understand concepts that I used to get confused before. Looking forward to having more workshops from SheCodes! -

I started this workshop without knowing pretty much anything about coding. The way everything was explained and the step by step task/challenge dynamic made it really fun to try and code. At first it seems like there's a lot to take in but it works great! As an average user I can now understand a lot more about how coding works and the prospect of being able to use it on my own makes me feel a lot more confident! I hope to take the other 2 workshops as soon as possible, this was so much fun!
If you're like me, just the kind of user who knows how to use the internet and computers like any average person but would like to know more and explore the possibilities of working with it too SheCodes is a very nice way to start. -

As a student, who had some knowledge on HTML and CSS and wanted to recall a few things I've learned before, as well as learning JavaScript from scratch, signing up for SheCodes was the best thing I could've ever made, I definitely recommend it, whether having or not some code knowledge, since the classes were made for beginners, which makes it really easy to follow along the 3 week workshop -

My background is in Psychology, project management and psychometric tests but I've always been interested in technology, especially with everything going digital in our current climate.
I thought I'd give SheCodes a go, as I've tried other free courses on other sites but it wasn't as interactive and I couldn't get help when I needed. With SheCodes, everything is at your own pace as the videos are bite-sized and you can go back if you need to.
However, the homework keeps you accountable. I enjoyed doing the challenges as I prefer learning by doing. The staff and fellow students are really friendly and helpful if you are stuck. Coding might seem scary at first, but it really isn't! If you've been thinking about learning to code, go for this course, it's a great way to learn and build your skillset! -

The SheCodes workshop really opened a lo of doors for me. I had been trying to learn how to code on my own for some time, but taking that first step is really hard on your own. It's not a very long workshop, so you can't really get to deep, but it is great to get you started. Matt explains in a really easy way, you always finish the lesson having understood the content and the course is made in an excitting way, it gives you the chance to figure thing out on your own based on you learned in the lessons, and i really like that.

SheCodes was the first online coding class I've taken that made me feel like I *actually* made lots of progress! I was given the foundational tools of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, and got to practice utilizing them each week to ultimately create a webpage of my own from scratch. Matt is an excellent teacher, explaining things in a way that made coding seem like an achievable skill for someone who is not so great with math and numbers🙈. Having a community of folks who are going through the same process as me and running into the same roadblocks just a Slack group away helped me get un-stuck many times. -

I had an amazing experience with SheCodes 😊the team is very supportive and responsive and the content is clear and straightforward! I work full time in consulting and the amount of work required per week is absolutely feasible for anyone.
