Although I had zero experience with coding and do not work in an area related to coding, design or programming, SheCodes workshop was super helpful to this "initiation". Lessons are very well organized, you can get help as you go to overcome your difficulties and homework are a great way to show your improvements. Keep up the good work. Recommended! -

I started the courses with hesitation and fear because trying something new is always scary, and I thought coding is out my league. . My fears disappeared at the very first workshop. The welcome notes from the founder blew my fears away. The classes were well put together easy to follow. Every time I did stack or needed help the Slack team was there for me(us) I learned a lot and looking forward to co to continue with following workshops. Thank you SheCodes❣️❣️ ❣️ -

If you have even the slightest interest in coding, do the SheCodes Workshop! At first I was a bit skeptical as to whether I would enjoy the course as I've attempted to code in the past but it never stuck. Believe me, it's worth it! The videos are clear, concise and Matt makes everything as easy to follow as possible. The challenges and homework set out are one of the things that stick out for me from the programme compared to other learning platforms; They encourage you to practise what you've learnt and research things on your own. Another amazing perk is that Matt teaches you not only how to code, but also provides tips along the way of which resources are best to use alongside. It's been an amazing experience and I look forward to doing the SheCodes Plus workshop next! -

I decided to take SheCodes after doing a lot of research and a taster class with Matt. I immideately signed up and I loved every moment of the workshop. The videos for learning how to code are so straight forward and clear and there are alway takes that go along with each new lesson which really helps to understand what you've been shown and if you ever get stuck on something, SheCodes has built a community of people who want to help and support your learning. -

My SheCodes experiences was amazing! The workshop was super easy and user friendly. Coding can be intimidating, but Matt explains each lesson clearly and the challenges are easy to do. If you're stuck with a challenge, someone from the SheCodes team is always willing to help. Before SheCodes my experience with coding was only through Myspace and Tumblr. This workshop is a great foundation if you're curious about coding and would like to learn coding. Thank you Matt for creating this workshop for women. Now I'm confident that I have a chance in the tech world among the men. I can't wait to use what I've learned in the workshop and apply it my next job. -

Shecodes workshop
Shecodes provides professional online learning videos of coding. In the beginning, I feel nervous and anxious about learning coding because I think it may be difficult for me. However, through learning videos, I figure out that it is interesting and easy to learn. It is a challenge to develop a gorgeous website. In the meantime, I can enjoy the beauty of coding I am capable to make. -

I have had so much fun learning to code. Although I have definitely found some of the modules hard, I have really enjoyed figuring out how to do it and solving problems. As someone with (what I thought was) good computer knowledge, SheCodes has opened my eyes to so much more. As a student ready to start University, I have experienced some of what my degree may offer me. It has also became a hobby I wish to partake in as much as possible and expand my computer science knowledge further. Even if you are still on the fence about learning coding or trying something new, I would simply say go for it!!! Thank you Matt and to the SheCodes team 👩💻 -

I absolutely loved the SheCodes training and would recommend it to anyone who has an interest in coding. It is user friendly, you have tech support whenever you need and also a Slack community where you can ask questions and interact with others. Before I joined this course I felt a bit lost career wise but now I feel like I have more of a sense of direction. Looking forward to learning more and getting even more creative! -

I saw an ad for SheCodes via Instagram and was intrigued by the whole concept and initiative to get more females into tech and coding! As a sociology student, I already had some experience with coding in other programs and languages, so I wasn't all new to the concept of coding, but learned a ton nonetheless! Matt's teaching is delivered in a very pedagogic manner, which makes a whole lot easier for both beginners and people on an intermediate level. Definitely worth it! -

She Codes was the perfect course for me to learn Web Development in the best possible way. It was intense, dynamic, fun and challenging. I loved every bit of it, and I am looking forward to working on development, for coding is what has made me happy.
I really liked the fact that we had homework and could get feedback on it; for me, it has always been a great way to learn. During lessons, Matt's approach and pedagogy was also perfect: for a certain topic, he would give us a theoretical note on it, followed by an example and then an exercise for us to complete. I also fancied the times when he challenged us by introducing new topics!
If you're in any way interested in how websites and apps are developed, you should definitely join SheCodes! If you did love SheCodes and had fun whilst completing your final project and are looking to improve your coding skills in Web Development, or if you want to change career or even shift fields within your current company, SheCodes Plus is just what you need! When looking for jobs, I keep on seeing companies asking for the knowledge that SheCodes Plus has provided me with - and it's great because it’s not the sort of thing they teach one at uni!

A very intensive weekend, very fast paced and very productive. Matt has an incredible ability to simplify the coding world by introducing us smoothly to it. Starting from understanding the frontend/backend differences, listing the several existing coding languages, to developing HTML, CSS and Javascript. I arrived to the workshop, from a working week, with lots of doubts on wether I would be able to understand anything. Guess what?! I left being able to distinguish the mechanics of coding and wanting to know a lot more about it. I highly recommend it! -

The SheCodes workshop is surely the best 101 on how to code for those who think coding is the hardest, unattainable thing to do. SheCodes really helped me push myself forward in the development world. Matt has a very structured and organised way to explain the theory which makes it very understandable, even going on a fast speed.
SheCodes is a great course to have an introduction to the front end world, but must be completed with somethinh else in my opinion.
I would recommend to try and do all the exercises first and then see the solution, otherwise you’ll forget quickly what you’ve learned.
Also it would be nice that the theory wasn’t explained with the same weather app exercise, just give the tools for the students to figure out the exercise on there own.
I gave mh feedback then and I hope changes have been implemented, if so, the course is totally worth it.
Thanks to them I continued to pursue my career in web development, and now I’m a full-stack developer.

I would highly recommend the 3-week workshop to anybody who is curious about coding and wants to 'dip their feet' into it and see what it's all about. The videos are clear, the challenges are well-designed, and you do not need to have any special skills to be successful in this workshop -- you just need motivation! I'll add that the workload is quite manageable, and the SheCodes community is really cool!
