I had no clue about coding. After this workshop I fastly realized, that I really like it and I am able to do it! Matt and his team are great! The training was hard, but I learned so much, and I want to continue: So I decided to join SheCodes+ in Lisbon.
SheCodes provides you any time the content of the courses and Matt is really good in teaching. His team always provides a great support. With chats you are aleways in touch with everyone and you can exchange questions and knowledge.
You have no other chance than listening and challenging yourself, because the training makes you doing it!

I attended the online training pilot for 1 month, and I thought the format was really great!
As I was working at the same time I thought this class was flexible and well explained.
We had one live classes per week and then we could learn independently during the week and create our own project.
There is a slack channel in case we need help, and Matt is a really good teacher.
I really enjoyed it and it made me want to learn even more! -

Workshop was an amazing experience and it is unbelievable how much we have learned during two days! I had no previous knowledge about coding, but it was easy to follow the instructions as we have learned step by step and able to practice on spot. It is a tense weekend but so much fun so recommend anyone who has an interest!

When I started this workshop I didn't know anything about code. Matt managed to explain everything in a very approachable, sucint and humored way. The fact that we made many exercises helped me a lot to apply the knowledge recently acquired. After this wonderful weekend I understand a lot better what coding means and its huge power and possibilities if we pursue this career in the future. It definitely gave me the boost I needed and the will to keep learning HTML, CSS and Javascript! If anyone is as curious as I am to be launched into the universe of coding SheCodes is the place to be!

I had a 2 day workshop about the basics of coding, in Decembre 2018. I dont have any background in the IT career, in fact i studied phychology.
Matt was the instructor i'm so gratefull for that. It was intense but i feel that I learned a lot.
Now, i work as QA, i still have a lot to learn but i feel that She Codes workshop give me the motivation and the strenght to carry on.

SheCodes was one of the best experiences I have with workshops/courses - probably my excitement and the fact that we were a group of women added up to it.
I am a fan of fast-paced, hands-on courses, that is what works best for me in terms of learning. In this sense, SheCodes fits perfectly my learning style. During the weekend we managed to get the basics of coding, had plenty of exercises meant to help us understand better the concepts and in the end finished with an assignment in which we had to apply everything we learned before.
Matt was a really cool instructor, very professional, structured and clear in his speech. On top of that, he had quite funny geeky jokes :)
All in all, it was a good experience that I recommend to any woman curious to know more about coding.

Two days that passed really fast. We had an introduction to HTML, CSS and javascript that allowed us to understand how they work and how they are integrated with each other. As a software tester, I saw some improvements in my day-to-day work. I must recommend this workshop to anyone who wants to start programming

Last December I took the SheCodes workshop just for fun, to learn something new. Now, I'm starting my new career in programming!
The worshop was a very enriching experience and a lot of fun. Matt can make it seem like coding is easy :)
I fell in love with programming, right away. I recommend to any woman who wants to learn to code, even if it is to renew concepts. For me it was the beginning of a new adventure!

It will give you all the basis of HTML, CSS and JavaScript and what you need to make a conscious decision, if you want coding to be part of your life. If you are afraid to be bored, don’t! The speaker will lead you to a fun learning experience! You will be dazzled by what you learnt and the results of what you can do afterall!

SheCodesPlus has been amazing. In such a short period of time I had the chance to adquire technical knowledge and valuable coding skills. I highly recommend doing the She Codes workshop! With She Codes I finally learned the basics of html, css and JavaScript and took a first step into the world of tech. The workshop was very demanding, but still so educational, inspiring and extremely dynamic and practical with an incredible teacher that helped us through every step of the way during all weekend. After the workshop my curiosity and desire to learn more about coding reached a whole other level of enthusiasm! I can't wait to continue the work I began in She Codes.

SheCodes is the perfect introduction workshop to coding that one could experience! I say this as someone who was afraid (but always curious) about coding, since the world always made it seem like such a complex and difficult thing to learn. Well, after SheCodes and have met Matt and everyone else, I can confidently say that that is not true. The workshop was intense and challeging, but also very simple and direct. It's the perfect introduction and the push that some might need to enter the world of programming. So wether you already like coding or want to discover where you stand towards it, this is a workshop I greatly recommend. It was worth every moment!

With a fast but finely worked pace, in a weekend you know at least how it works HTML, CSS, and JS. Matt is a great teacher, that with humour, organized content and a lot of know-how, can make you understan a little bit of this world that is coding.
The purpose of these workshop is for you, as a woman, gain love for the coding area. And I believe, that in the end of this workshop you will want to scratch more the surface of this new world.

Two days at the SheCodes workshop and I'm already a professional developer, or at least it made me feel like one!
Most people get scared to even think about learning code: I was one of them until I met Matt in an SC "teaser workshop" at the place I work and my fear turned into excitement. Starting off with the insight Matt gave us about women's role throughout history and how can we be more relevant in the current tech revolution. It made me feel like I could play a part in its development hence I enrolled in the workshop.
Logistics wise, everything was so well organized, all the volunteers were very helpful and they made a great job creating a nice, welcoming environment for coders to share ideas, chill out during breaks and even having a drink after a long day of coding.
The learning experience was off the chart, in so little time I got to learn a lot and have close contact with a variety of subjects that helped me prepare for a more intensive study in the future. The final project submission was both very challenging but rewarding due to all the support from classmates at Slack.
Overall, the one thing I would change is the number of days, because I surely didn't want to leave!Carmo Andrade

She Codes looked great from the outside. I wanted to learn coding for my career in order to understand the developers better and I'm personally interested in it. Then I found SheCodes and saw all these amazing reviews on basically every platform. So, I participated in the free 1 hour meeting with Matt where he explains a few things about the world of programming and presents the available workshops. After some consideration, I decided to take the basic workshop. We were offered a 15% discount after the meeting which I used. I paid about 170,00 euros. I could "buy" the workshop with my outlook email address and was to start one week after purchase. When the time came, I could not log in. I hadn't received any information on the workshop, only emails on which workshop I would like to do. The money had already been transferred... I contacted Matt and ultimately the SheCodes team. After now 10 emails, I have given up. It was fairly ridiculous. Until the end, they told me that they had send an activation email to my outlook address but nothing ever came. However, I had received other automatic emails from their system and obviously the corespondence emails. They told me I had to provide a gmail address so I would maybe be able to sign up. I don't have one and I'm willing to make a gmail account or any other new email address for some company... Anyway, I got quite mad when they kept playing it down like and acting like the only solution would be a new email address:
"Hey Virginia,
Could you check your spam folder, please? <3
If there isn't anything there, could you send me another email address that I can use as a contact to send the activation email.
Let's keep in touch? :)"
I got very similar emails 5 times but no other solution. I asked them to refund my money 4 times. Only in the last email, they said, they don't refund whilst also not providing me access to the workshop I bought...
After this experience, I must sincerely doubt that all of this reviews are honest and real. Feels kinda fraudulent to me...
I'm incredibly disappointed and will be taking my money back via my bank. I am just relieved that I did not buy the completely overpriced workshops.
In case you want to try this out, good luck. Hope it works out better for you. Just know that there are other (also free) options to learn coding. I have started one and haven't had any kind of drama there. -

Going on board on the SheCodes journey, I was initially apprehensive about diving into HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. However, the course structure was so well-paced and the lessons remarkably easy to grasp. I never felt overwhelmed, which was a pleasant surprise! I especially enjoyed experimenting with CSS gradients and found the provided snippets and tools incredibly helpful in bringing my project to life. A huge thank you to Matt; his teaching style is truly simplified and clear, making even complex concepts feel accessible. I'm now genuinely excited and looking forward to exploring more with the upcoming SheCodes courses. -

After just three weeks with SheCodes, I’m amazed at how much I’ve learned. It's incredible to see how quickly knowledge can accumulate when you're committed and driven. The experience has been intense but rewarding, proving to me that when you set your mind to something, you really can achieve it. The online workshop was very beginner friendly, straightforward, precise, well-organized and flexible. You get to do it online and 100% on your own pace with technical support to help you along the way. You'll also get to do challenges for every lesson, homework for every week, and eventually, the real project at the end of the workshop. Seems much but trust me, it was fun, and knowledgeable! It polishes your skills and make sure that you understand the whole thing to the core. Best part, you get to see the solution in which the instructor will thoroughly explain everything and if you have to make changes, you can just submit the updated challenge after fixing it. For a total beginner in which I have zero knowledge of coding to start with, it is such a great platform to learn coding in general. I for one, looking forward to the next workshop I'll be enrolled in. Best of luck to all! -
