As a person who has a hard time self-learning, especially with CS, SheCodes's short-video format and simplistic yet detailed-enough explanations really motivated me to start and develop my HTML, CSS, and JavaScript skills. I especially love this class format with required challenges and homework to submit as it holds me accountable to learning coding skills associated with those languages very well, something I wouldn't necessarily have without this course. -

When I was at university I enrolled into a Computer Science course to complete my studies. It was an horrible, extremely confusing, experience. We were left alone trying to cope with things that were never explained to us. I somewhat managed to pass, but whenever I would hear the word "coding" I would just label it as something I couldn't do. I decided to give coding a second chance when I saw SheCodes and I'm extremely glad I did! Sometimes, all you need is a good teacher and dedication 🌞 -

I took computer science classes in undergrad and fell in love with coding. As I went on to pursue a career in business, I had less exposure to coding and I really missed it. I even considered going back to school for it but I didn't want to give up my life and savings to accomplish that goal.. until I found this. The module is well thought out and well explained. It's easy to follow along and set your own pace to match your lifestyle. I remember reading the testimonials myself thinking.. 'does this actual work?' and now I can tell you.. it does. If you're thinking about doing it, you've wanted to do it. Do it. Start small and see if its for you. The best gift you can give yourself is education and opportunity. Go for it. -

I find it difficult to learn technical things just by learning the theory, but SheCodes was the perfect balance of theory and hands-on practice, which made me feel like I actually learned and understood the basics. I can now use that knowledge next time I work with others in the tech industry to better understand their work or if I decide to take it further and enroll in more advanced courses to do coding myself. “For someone who was completely new to coding I think this would be a great beginners course. I found that the lesson were easy to follow along with so I never really had any problems when understanding concepts. If you ever need help though, there is always help in slack. The people on there are very friendly so don't be afraid to ask for help. Overall I would really recommend this course for everyone.” -

This was an excellent experience, when they said she codes basics, they were serious. This was challenging at times but more than all funny and I have the opportunity to practice with all the challenges and homework. However, you should find some resources on your own as there are very few external resources. -

I can definitely say that I spent the best and most wonderful period of my life on this platform. It's incredibly fantastic. I also work with C ++ and Python, but no course has attracted me as much as this one, so I can sit at a desk for hours and just learn and do projects. The most amazing teacher in the world teaches here so that in addition to answering all the questions, he also reviewed my project without sending it to him and motivated me to continue. And when I put my certificate on my Instagram, he put it on his Instagram. There is no description for the completeness of this course and the extraordinariness of its master, because words are incapable of description. And more importantly, the company responds to all emails and, if there is a problem with the certificate, fixes it immediately before 24 hours and is very friendly. And most of all, you can find wonderful friends to motivate you. -

I've completed the basics course. They had a black Friday special and I saw advertisements everywhere in my social media accounts, such as youtube, Instagram, Facebook, etc. They offered the pro course for $944. I got charged $1,092.87. I reached out to customer service as soon as I found out. They refuse to reimburse the difference. That just tells you where their mindset is at. I'm also not a fan of being asked to make a review right after taking the course. Even though you may have learned new things you can't compare it from your experience with SheCodes to real-life experience in the outside world and how you would compare to others looking for a similar career change. -

Great course to follow even if your popping in and out. Lessons have enough repetition to embed knowledge but not too much to become confusing. I wasn't thinking about learning code but jumped onto the free SheCodes Express Workshop out of curiosity. From attending the workshop, I felt excited about joining, believing that coding was not beyond me and I would really enjoy it. Also, that by learning code I could expand and broaden my career. So, I decided to enrol in SheCodes Basics Workshop. I truly enjoyed every moment of learning coding in this workshop! In the workshop run by Matt, there was never a dull moment. The workshop included teaching videos, challenges, homework and a final project. It was easy to follow each week in my own time and at my desired pace, whilst still meeting the deadlines. The teaching is clear, concise, and engaging. If you ever were stuck on a problem, you could receive help on Slack. I never felt like I wasn't prepared to take on the challenges and apply what I learnt with hands on work. Having graduated from the Basics Workshop I will continue my coding journey with SheCodes Plus. Would recommend to anyone interested in learning code to jump on board the SheCodes train. You won't be disappointed, rather you'll be amazed by how far you'll go, even from just completing the SheCodes Basics Workshop.
