I stumbled upon the SheCodes workshops by accident, but it feels like it was the perfect opportunity at just the right time. I tentatively registered for the free class but was hopeful. I had no previous experience coding, and frankly, no clue what coding entailed. But after the free class, I immediately signed up for the first SheCodes Workshop. Between the lessons, community chat, and encouragement from Matt to do more research on the material we were learning- I was hooked! Coding never seemed accessible and so I never knew I would hold any interest in it. SheCodes took the intimidation, self-doubt, and mystery away. For the first time in quite a while, I'm excited to learn again and feel confident that SheCodes will help me develop new skills. I'm proud and excited to say that I am enrolling in the SheCodes Plus React workshop to continue my training!! -

Awesome workshop to get into Frontend Development
This workshop is really well stuctured and thanks to Matt's good explanation videos it was easy to follow. Another great aspect of this workshop is that you can do it in your own pace whenever you have time. Definitely would recommend this! I am looking forward to the next workshop :) -

Being a medical student, juggling three jobs, course work and medical placement; I didn't think it was even remotely possible to pick up a new skill like coding! I always thought it would be wayy too difficult and I wouldn't find the time but this course made it so straight forward to build a foundation. I am so happy now as I will be able to explore a whole new world of ideas and innovations and be able to know the basic working of them. Can't wait to see what the future holds, maybe build a website or even an app?! Who knows -

I started to learn coding by myself, which was sometimes not very motivating, specially when I had thousands of questions. When I joined SheCodes, I started to see the light at the end of the tunnel. Matt explanations and examples are super clear, and the community and the SheCodes technical support is a big plus. I am very grateful that I joined and I can only encourage every woman, who has interest in coding (no matter your background) You can do it! -

“This was by far the best coding introduction. I wanted to start programming for a long time not necessary for web design, but for other programming languages that are more used in my field. Nevertheless the course was so intense that it kept me awake for some nights and was proud for each little step I got further. the structure was clear, easy to understand and I really enjoyed my final project. Wow I'm amazed at how much I've learned in just 3 weeks, going from zero coding experience to being able to build my very own website with buttons/urls that you can interact with. The course style of SheCodes is great with the small challenges after every lesson to give you tons of practice. -

I really enjoyed the little challenges and that the workshop is broken down into bite sized chunks. Matt definitely knows what he's doing and delivers the content very well.
Currently in week three of the follow-up course SheCodes Plus, aced a telephone interview as Web Developer and have the technical interview coming up next week.
Regardless of the outcome I will move on to SheCodes React after.
It's a lot of fun and I highly recommend it. -

SheCodes Plus was a beautiful challenge. There were ups and down in trying to understand Javacript but the videos, the Slack channel and the challenges really help develop the skill the right way. The final project it is a great way to really put everything together and test your mindset and skills. I couldn't recommend it more. -

SheCodes has taught me things I NEVER thought I could even look at and not freak out. These 3 weeks have been really fun, despite the challenges. I would recommend SheCodes to anyone who wants to try something different and so relevant to the era we live in. I enjoyed very much this online course SheCodes ✨, I didn't expect to learn so many interesting things and to have so much fun. I'm a beginner, I even didn't know what HTML or CSS or JavaScript is 😊. I like a lot how Matt is teaching, his very natural style, easy to understand.

I started with absolutely zero coding experience and was unsure if computer programming was for me. SheCodes broke down the basics of coding in a way that helped me realize it is digestible and can be as creative as it is technical. SheCodes gave me the tools to explore coding on my own and also with the support of its empowering community of women in the exact same boat as me. As I finish the 3-week workshop, I am genuinely excited to continue growing these skills with SheCodes through the more advanced workshops, and I'm glad I chose to do so in an environment that supports me 24/7 🏼🏼🏼🏼 -

This course cleared up all of my "what is that?", "what does this do?", "what does this mean?"...."what?!?!?" feelings. I now understand what coders are referring to on stackoverflow, github, and reddit when I search for a term, a way to do something, or when I'm generally curious. Overall this course flows at an excellent pace, is broken down into little snippets, and sprinkles in various little surprises here and there. Would highly recommend for anyone looking to start somewhere without feeling overwhelmed by scattered, never-ending information and resources on the internet. And on top of that, I was able to find a lot of interesting things outside of the scope of this course from the suggestions in each video. I really appreciated all the help on the slack channel, too! -

The direction in this course were clear and concise and the way the lessons are chunked are perfect for my busy schedule.
