I’ve always wondered how coding works…I guess I’ve never had the chance to have a look into it. Generally, when you talk to IT guys, it is all about “yes, we can do this or that” but of course you don’t really talk about how, cause probably it is more complicated to tell than to do. Therefore, the “coding world” keeps hiding into this mystery bubble. Thank you to Matt and the SheCodes Team! The mystery is finally being revealed to me Great experience! Looking forward next week to get more knowledge. There is still a lot to be done! -

I'm a SheCodes Basic graduate, but am currently still a student because I bought SheCodes Pro for sale. I'm using SheCodes as a stepping stone in switching majors and transferring colleges, and it's serving it's purpose very well: To give me a taste of what my future job as a web developer is all about, and prepare me for the concepts I will learn in college. So far, I am greatly pleased with the layout of the course! While you can (and should) find a lot of the information Matt teaches on coding wikis and websites, in my opinion, all that coding bootcamps should do is give you some structure and feedback along with your learning experience, which a lot of students find they need to adequately learn, myself included. Matt explains things well and even sprinkles a little humor in his videos. With that said, I think this is a great starter course, <strong> BUT</strong> I doubt that it can be the only tool under your belt if you want to break into the tech industry. If you're unsure about the course and know nothing about HTML, CSS or JavaScript, I recommend trying the three-week basics course, and if you like that then you can upgrade. The layout for all the courses after that is just like the basics course, so you'll know what to expect. Overall I can't complain. I love how you can kinda go at your own pace, but you also have deadlines to meet. I do wish there was a little more feedback on the homework- all I really get is whether or not my submission was valid. I want to learn how to make my code cleaner and I wish I could receive an annotated version of my solutions and homework, to see how professionals would code it. Other than that I'm mainly here for the structure and challenges which are amazing. -

I enrolled in this course as I have always been interested in coding. I can't believe how much I've learned so far with only 3 weeks of training! I enjoyed learning about HTML, CSS, and JavaScript and feel thoroughly confident in my ability to work on related projects. I find the challenges and projects very useful. I took the SheCodes Basics course and it was a lot of fun! I have always loved the precise, abstract thinking required for programming, but had never used HTML, CSS or JavaScript. I wouldn't have thought it could be so addictive! I liked that all the lessons were concise, everything was very well explained and the challenges were not too hard. After work, I was always looking forward to proceeding with my SheCodes course! I'll definitely be back for an advanced course! -

I highly recommend the SheCodes Workshop to anyone who's interested in learning the basics of coding. I've tried multiple self-paced learning platforms in the past, without succeeding, due to a lack of time constraints and accountability. The workshop format, was easy to balance with my full-time role but I also knew that I had weekly deadlines to meet, so that helped me prioritise my time accordingly. In short: it was an awesome experience, I really recommend these workshops! Especially if you are a total beginner and want to start coding.
In long:
I have been trying to learn how to code for about 6 years as I needed it for my job. However, I always gave up because the courses were too boring, too fast, too slow, not fun enough, going straight into technical stuff.
Then I came across SheCodes and it sounded like the right approach for me. I signed up and really liked the classes.
🤓 The format of the lessons is short enough to keep you focused.
🚆 You can speed or slow down the pace of the speech in the lessons.
🥳 There are small challenges at almost every lesson which are made in a fun way.
👩💻 You can just copy their examples, so you don't need to spend time on the creative design of a project if you don't want to.
📞The team is very responsive on Slack and helping you with technical as well as admin questions.
It took me longer than recommended to finish my project because I was too busy, but the team still reviewed my assessment and supported me.
Try it, I think you won't regret it 🙌 -

I've been in IT for over 22 years now, on the technical support side. I then moved into software development release cycle and project management. It always interested me, what goes into fixing bugs and how I could make software better or write myself. I found this course through a friends recommendation on the free course. I loved it! The SheCodes workshop was incredibly informative, easy to use, and a great experience! As a aspiring software engineer, this course really helped me understand the basics and framework for coding. Matt was an excellent instructor who covered the topics effectively. I really enjoyed the challenges at the end of each lesson, as you apply the concepts you learned from the lesson. This course really made me fall in love with coding. I graduated from the Online SheCodes Workshop and I am currently enrolled in SheCodes Plus; I must say, I am incredibly excited to continue learning through this program!
