Elevate is an intense 10 week program. You will learn about the the tech industry. You will also learn how to use CRM and develop your skills in outreach and prospecting. I have contemplated multiple times whether or not I should write this, but I feel the need to share my experiences. I joined Elevate in the summer of 2021 with the promise of making $80k. However, I was overpromised and underdelivered and the commitments made to me were not fulfilled. Initially, I enrolled under a $25k Income Share Agreement (ISA) contract, which was later discontinued due to legal issues arising as well as negative social media attention from a former instructor's attack on a competitor. Elevate was being sued by some members because ISAs are not legal in certain US states.



As a result, the CEO asked me to create a timeline and potentially testify in the lawsuit. In my final week in February 2022, I received a sudden email notice only two hours before an ambush meeting with the CEO and there attorney. I believe this was done out of fear that I would take legal action against them. It was one of the most frightening moments of my life. Although I remained calm and polite on the outside, I was terrified internally. When asked by the attorney if I was happy at Elevate, I lied and said yes.



Furthermore, I had an abusive mentor who had been fired from a competitor Boot Camp and had only six months of professional SDR experience. This mentor made my life miserable. They prohibited me from reaching out and working with sales leaders on LinkedIn or posting on LinkedIn, constantly emphasized the goal of finding any job instead of the perfect one, threatened to expel me from the boot camp, kick me out of class sessions, canceled meetings with me, and displayed overall rude and abusive behavior. Despite sharing my concerns with others at Elevate, including the CEO, everyone ignored me turned a blind eye and no action was taken.



Under pressure from this abusive mentor, I was even coerced and forced into accepting a 1099 commission-only job without a contract at a controversial company. Thankfully, two good employees who were hired later fought for me and prevented this unethical business practice. I managed to escape the ISA agreement, as they recognized the unprofessional and unethical and even inhumane nature of the service they provided. It has been a year and a half since I left Elevate and almost a year since I cut ties with the CEO and blocked them and everyone associated with elevate. However, I continue to suffer mentally from the events that transpired, and it still affects me on a daily basis.



If anyone from elevate reading this cares, please refrain from making promises you cannot keep, and exercise better vetting when hiring mentors and staff members. When students raise complaints or face issues, take action rather than ignoring them. 

My experience at Elevate has left me forever mentally damaged with no passion to pursue a career as an SDR anymore. Read less
