Correlation 1 - Data Analytics course exceeded my expectations. I did not expect to learn so much in 18 weeks. My problem solving skills were stimulated and I have been inspired to delve into Data science. The staff, Instructors and TAs are very kind and patient. The course schedule was intense but I was able to navigate while working full time.The curriculum is up to date and case studies are real world business problems. I highly recommend this course for anyone looking to learn Data Analytics from zero. -

Had a fun time working with the team and my peers were also very helpful. I learned Excel usage as well as languages such as SQL and Python foe data queries, and Tableau for visualisation. It was easy working with the TAs for additional help. The Mini projects were done in teams and the Cases were individually done. They were challenging and kept up with the pace of the program and good for practicing writing queries. -

It is somewhat difficult to express fully in words how much I enjoyed participating in the Correlation One Data Analysis 7 cohort. My time during the class was a true gift, in which I was afforded the opportunity to learn, laugh, and, at times, struggle with a wonderful group of classmates, teaching assistants, career services counselors, and C1 staff. For me, the sense of community was real and I was very happy to have been able to participate and contribute. I work at Amazon and got in the program through the career choice program. It was a great experience to go through as I've been out of school for a while now, but wanted a change in my life. Worked out great as I learned how to better understand data through the use of excel, SQL, Python, and tableau. It's great that the course felt like it built upon itself as we progressed.
I'm currently in the process of trying to get hired for a data role. It "currently" hasn't happened for me, but it's great to actually get called for interviews and be given the chance to present myself. Prior to this, I didn't have a solid enough resume and am happy about the professional development portion of this course. There's also the nice perk of having continued support towards building my resume and job search help with my career coach 3 months after the course. -

I had been out of the learning environment for several years and had a lot of reservations about attending school again, especially taking an online class. This program was one of many being financed by my company and I decided to make use of this opportunity. The application, assessment and acceptance processes went seamlessly resulting in me being enrolled in my first bootcamp in May 2023 which comprised of apx 900 plus students. For the next six months it was seven hours of instructor led classes each week (Tuesdays and Saturdays) with review sessions immediately afterwards, weekly open office hour sessions from different teaching assistants and the option to book and attend a one-on-one session with a teaching assistant to go over training materials and reinforce learning.
I was introduced to the world of Data Analytics and explored some of the tools used in this field - Excel, SQL, Python, Looker Studio and Tableau as well as a Professional Development Module complete with an assigned Career Success Coach.
The starting for me was a bit rough as everything was new: the training site - lessons, resources and submission tabs, using jupyter notebook, accessing the classes and sharing screens thru zoom, slack interactions etc, but the support staff was phenomenal and patient and pretty soon I was able to navigate the course and lessons.
If I were to describe this experience in two words , they would be intense and rewarding: Four Professional Development Exercises, Four Mini-Projects (Group Projects) and Four Extended Cases - all completed and aced.
There were no prerequisites for this course and for someone with little or no prior experience it was a lot of work. I found out early in the game that staying in sync with the instructor during the live sessions was impossible, so to get the most out of classes the key was to read thru the material prior to classes, follow along the best you can during classes and then make use of the recorded session after each class and practice, practice, practice.
Six months have passed and I am the proud recipient of an Honors Certificate in Data Analytics. It was a lot of sacrifice on my part and Correlation One did a mammoth task in providing a Lead Instructor with a wealth of knowledge who is very talented in this field of study, brilliant Head TAs, other wonderful and skilled TAs, support staff along with an incredible Program Manager who I think was very integral in this program's success.
Would I change anything about this course? Yes I would, but not much.
I think an introductory course in Excel might be necessary as a prerequisite. This would allow for more time being spent on utilizing it as a tool in data analytics instead of trying to get persons to learn Excel from scratch and then utilizing it as a tool.
There was a mix of students at different stages in their data analytics journey in this class. from unskilled to skilled. Based on some comments posted in the live chat it was obvious that some students who had prior training were a bit frustrated in having to wait on those of us who were struggling as we were new to the topic. It might not be practical to have different groups for different levels of skills but a way to accommodate everyone without frustration or feeling inept would really be welcoming.
It would have been great if we were able to do a python project as well but I know time was limited due to the nature of bootcamps. If any restructuring or extension of time etc could be done to include this, it would be wonderful.
All in all, a life-changing experience and I am so over the moon right now. -

I thoroughly enjoyed this bootcamp! As someone who had no prior knowledge of Data Analytics, I would highly recommend this program. I wasn't sure how well I was going to do, but the cases were nicely explained and the lectures added an extra layer of depth. They also had additional channels for anyone needing extra help with any of the course material. To really get the benefits, I highly recommend going over the course work before each lecture. They do not guarantee job placement, but I feel like they do offer a lot of assistance. If you're someone who is dedicated to making the switch over to a career in Data Analytics, I feel this program would be great for you! -

My time with C1 in the Data Analytics class was an amazing experience. Full of information, and great people that helps you along the way.
The bad, as a amazon employee my hours are from 1am until 11:50 class where held at 12:00 living no time in between, to much info between classes making it very hard to keep and retain the info properly. The classes are recorded it and one can re-watch it later, no job placement after the class even though they show so many people they work with. Now with that being said, is a amazing program and I do recommend it to anyone -

I started this course with zero knowledge in SQL and Tableau but before the course ended I already knew the basis of that. The course was good and really useful and I would do it again if given the opportunity. The program leaders were helpful and always willing to help the best way the can. The TAs were equally helpful and always there to teach you to understand. The reason I chose correlation one among the various schools was the career success coach session, I must I really learnt a lot on how to draft a good CV and a good LinkedIn profile. Overall it was a good experience. -

Don’t call the course Cloud Specialist when in reality you are offering an AWS Cloud practitioner Cert spoke to HR they confirmed that your organization charged me 5,250$ with career choice. All Amazonia's have access to AWS Cloud Practitioner for 100$. This course is not worth it this is exploiting Amazonia's resources. If you work for Amazon avoid this course at all cost -

A very well organized 14 week program that starts with excel and moves into more advanced excel, SQL, PYTHON and visualization. Overall, this program is perfect if you are looking for the first step or to build a solid foundation in data analytics. The instructors, C1 staff and TAs are all very helpful and supportive. I highly recommend this program as they also focus on professional development skills, and career options by having multiple sessions with a professional career coach. They help you build a stronger resume and application too. You also practice what you learned through application either individually or as a team. -

This prestigious 14-week program provides a remarkable opportunity to immerse myself in practical data science applications within real-world business contexts. Throughout the fellowship, we participated in comprehensive workshops aimed at fostering professional growth and proficiency in essential data analytical tools and platforms, including SQL, Tableau, Python, Excel, and Locker Studio. Not that alone, but also, working on our career path choices, best practices, how to develop it, brand ourselves, have 1-to-1 sessions with best career success coaches, and so on.
