Colorado State University Pueblo offers 26 to 28-week bootcamps in Cybersecurity, Web Development, Data Science, and Data Analytics & Visualization. All bootcamp programs are online and self-paced. Students of all bootcamps will work on real-world, practical projects. Graduates of all bootcamps receive a Certificate of Completion from Colorado State University Pueblo. 

The 28-week Cybersecurity bootcamp teaches students how operating systems work, how to configure routers/switches, and how to identify, evaluate, and mitigate risks. Students learn TCP/IP implementation, and become proficient in Python. Students are taught how to thwart malicious online attacks. At the end of the course, students choose one of two electives that will either prepare them for the CompTIA Cybersecurity Analyst (CySA+) certificate or the CompTIA PenTest+ certificate. Students complete a capstone project based on the elective they chose. Students will spend the final weeks in interactive project labs where they access remote environments and participate in coding exercises, development scenarios, and hands-on training in a remote desktop scenario. 

In the 28-week, full stack Web Development bootcamp, students learn front end and back end programming languages, such as JavaScript, HTML5, React, and MySQL. Students first learn to build static web pages using HTML and CSS. Then, students build interactive web pages using JavaScript and jQuery. Students learn Responsive Web Design and how to use open source design frameworks. Students will learn how to code inside Git and to manage code over time. Students learn Node.js, Express.js, MongoDB, React.js, Bootstrap, and Wordpress. Throughout the bootcamp, students complete mini-projects that are reviewed by instructors. Students receive at least 4 hours of live coaching every week. 

The 28-week Data Science bootcamp teaches students how to analyze and visualize data with Excel and Power BI. Students will also learn Azure HDInsight to manage Cloud resources, Spark to process and analyze large batches of data, machine learning, R programming, Python, predictive analysis, and Transact-SQL to manipulate large data sets and relational data sets. Data Science students also learn Analytics Storytelling for impact, ethics and law in Data Analysis, and essential math for machine learning. Students choose their own “bonus tracks” for the final two weeks of the bootcamp. 

In the 28-week Data Analytics & Visualization bootcamp, students learn data visualization techniques, concepts of machine learning, predictive analytics, Power BI, Excel, and Transact-SQL. Students learn Data Analysis math using Excel as well as how to present organizational data in engaging ways. Students learn how malicious hackers attack systems and learn the tactics needed to thwart online attacks. Students also learn advanced manipulation of data using hands-on coding with Microsoft Power BI and developer APIs. 

Career guidance is included in all Colorado State University Pueblo bootcamps. Students also have access to talk to an IT mentor twice per week. After graduation, career counselors will continue mentoring students until they secure full-time employment. If a bootcamp graduate has not been hired within six months, Colorado State University Pueblo offers a full tuition refund. 

Bootcamp students who pay the full cost of tuition upfront receive a discount. Alternatively, students may choose to pay tuition in interest-free installments each month either during the bootcamp duration or after completing the bootcamp (an enrollment fee is required). Scholarships are also offered for qualifying bootcamp applicants.

      This Bootcamp is a better alternative to any course one out there. I attended the bootcamp for 6 good months, completed all the modules and exercises provided. I had the opportunity to ask questions where I had issues.       When a colleague told me about this course sometime mid-last year, I was not interested a first until I heard of someone who was earning a six-figure salary just from attending a web development bootcamp. I became curious immediately and decided I was going to start this course.

      The program explains the basics and complexities of data science in an interesting way that allows you under it easily. I'm almost a beginner with python. My past attempts to learn data analysis with python never worked out. But everything was different with this course. We dug deep into every concept and explored several tools for visualization and deep learning. The availability of a virtual lab also encouraged me to practice what I learned and better my skills.

      If I have anything to add to this course, it wouldn’t have to do with the course content. The curriculum covers everything one needs to a strong foundation in data science.
