The curriculum was pretty decent and instructors were as well. I did not get my return of investment in this class as companies want you to have over the top of knowledge from SQL, to JSON and React and this class didn't necessarily teach hands-on in all this extra material that companies demand. I did try and take the Automation QA class as I was persuaded to take it by a Careerist counselor but with taking the class, I did not understand it and couldn't have a 1 on 1 mentor to help me through the process of understanding it so I dropped the class after a couple of weeks of taking it. I have called and emailed for a partial refund but still haven't heard back regarding my request of a partial refund and so wouldn't recommend pursuing this class since they don't offer 1 on 1 mentorship which I thought they would/did prior to signing up and also they don't have companies affiliated with them either to give that extra help in getting a job.Overall3.0Curriculum4.0Job support1.0Instructors3.0 -

I took the Manual QA course (class of July 2020) and the instructors and mentors were really supportive and patient. Normally I find remote learning a bit challenging, but it worked really well because of how practical and rich the program was. I feel ready to start my career in QA and considering taking the advance course (QA Automation) in the future, when I feel ready to learn some code.
I think if you are looking for practical training that is centered around the job market, their programs are the best. But if you are looking for pure education and academic theory, maybe Coursera is good enough.Overall5.0Curriculum5.0Job support5.0Instructors5.0Anna of Careerist

The instructor did an excellent job. But I think this is a strategy. The best classes are offered first because you get a 7 day refund. You don't know the rest of the curriculum is terrible until you get to the second or third week, but by that time it's too late. The second instructor who was teaching n8n and Make was clearly an automation expert, but not a teacher. The curriculum became extremely poor when the second instructor began to teach. There was no methodology. The second instructor made countless errors while teaching the class, and I got so confused while trying to follow along and make automations during the synchronous sessions. The videos for the asynchronous classes were outdated, and I struggled to create the automations even more. I had to search on YouTube for videos about how to complete these assignments. The internship was not a real internship. It was more of an extension of the course. I did not feel as if I was working for a real company. I did not even finish the course because my career counselor canceled twice. I have been asking for a refund because they did not honor their part of the agreement, but so far no reply. Save your money. You are better off joining a Skool community.Overall1.0Curriculum1.0Job support1.0Instructors1.0 -

Today it is all about the hands on work which is where things got dicey. The internal internship was great! My team lead was very informative and completed his part of reviewing and giving feedback in a timely manner. However when it came to the external internship which I believe is the one that counted the most, my team lead dropped the ball all together. I am currently at the end of the intern and I have completed all five task that were assigned to me and have not received not one review or feedback on any of the work that I have completed. Then when I reach out to the internship group as well as my team lead I feel as I was brushed off. I get a message from the intern group saying they will reach out to the team lead and I get a message from my team lead that says "It was a technical error and that I have passed the internship". But me being the technical person I am I went back to look at my task again and woooooow they are still sitting waiting to be reviews with no feedback at all not even a great job. So did I really pass? Horrible experience at this point especially for that amount of money spent. Maybe I'm a one off but if I could do the whole process over I definitely would not. I don't even care to finish at this point just take my money as a loss an walk away.Overall2.0Curriculum5.0Job supportN/AInstructors2.0 -

The comprehensive curriculum covered everything from the basics of sales engineering to advanced strategies for success. The online format was incredibly convenient, allowing me to learn at my own pace and review material as needed. The course materials were well-organized and easy to follow, making it simple to grasp new ideas and build my skills. What impressed me most was the emphasis on practical application - we were encouraged to work on real-world projects and case studies, which helped me develop a strong portfolio of work that I can use to showcase my abilities. Overall, I feel much more confident in my ability to effectively communicate technical information to non-technical stakeholders and I'm excited to apply my new skills in my career.Overall3.0Curriculum3.0Job support3.0Instructors3.0 -

I joined the program with high hopes and expectations of gaining valuable career skills and guidance, but unfortunately, it turned out to be a scam.
From the beginning, there were red flags that I should have recognized. The promises made during the recruitment process seemed too good to be true, and I should have been more cautious. The bootcamp claimed to provide comprehensive job placement assistance and guaranteed career success, but in reality, it was nothing more than empty promises.
Once enrolled, I quickly realized that the program lacked substance and failed to deliver on its commitments. The curriculum was poorly structured and lacked depth. The instructors lacked expertise and were unable to provide meaningful guidance or support. The promised networking opportunities and connections with industry professionals were non-existent.
To make matters worse, when I attempted to reach out to the program's support team for assistance or clarification, I was met with unresponsiveness and indifference. It became evident that their main objective was to take my money rather than genuinely help me in my career development.
As a result of this experience, I not only wasted my time and energy but also lost a significant amount of money. It is disheartening to see that there are dishonest organizations preying on individuals who are genuinely seeking to improve their careers.
I strongly advise anyone considering Careerist to proceed with extreme caution. Do thorough research, seek reviews from reliable sources, and be skeptical of any program that makes extravagant promises without concrete evidence of their effectiveness.

Everything that is taught in this bootcamp is common sense. I titled this as “misleading” because the sales reps pitch things that are not even offered once you start the course (I.e., the automated JAS system). According to the sales reps JAS was supposed to apply for companies on my behalf, which is a major selling point, however, once you finish the course you notice that this isn’t true. The JAS system only gathers a bunch of jobs, which you could find on other platforms like LinkedIn, Glassdoor, etc.; however, you have to submit the applications yourself.
Another thing the sales team failed to communicate was the “internship”. The internship is not really an internship. It’s more like an additional 4 weeks of regular class. ITS A WASTE OF TIME AND MONEY. You literally breakout in small groups and pretend to be in a meeting with your peers…
Had I known all this I would have went with a different bootcamp that is a lot cheaper and can get me a job in tech.Overall1.0Curriculum1.0Job support1.0Instructors4.0Farida of Careerist
