I completed the Careerist Manual QA 4-week boot camp and can confidently say it was an excellent investment in my career. The curriculum was comprehensive and covered everything from test case creation to bug reporting and tracking. 
The instructors were knowledgeable, engaging, and always willing to answer any questions that came up during class. They made the learning experience both enjoyable and informative. Additionally, my mentor was incredibly helpful and provided invaluable guidance throughout the program.
I particularly appreciated the hands-on approach of the boot camp, which allowed me to immediately put the concepts and skills I learned into practice. If you want to land a tech job quickly, this course is for you. You don't need to have an IT background; all you need is to put effort and time into studying on your own. Online classes were helpful, but you need to do a lot of self-study. I landed a job in a month with the help of mentoring and interview preparation. My mentor kept me accountable, and the internship projects were helpful in gaining practical skills. I highly recommend this course. Read less

The Careerist Technical Sales Engineering Bootcamp offers a comprehensive program for those interested in pursuing a career in technical sales. However, I found that the lack of step-by-step instructions made it difficult to follow along, especially for those new to the field.

The course materials were presented in a rather disjointed fashion, with concepts and topics often introduced without sufficient context or explanation. This made it challenging to understand how the different pieces fit together, and I often found myself having to look up additional information or ask for clarification.

Another issue I encountered was that the course didn't seem to be structured in a way that accommodated a large number of students. While there were opportunities for interaction and discussion, the class size was simply too large to allow for meaningful engagement with instructors and peers. As a result, I often felt lost in the crowd and struggled to keep up with the pace of the course.

Despite these challenges, the Careerist Technical Sales Engineering Bootcamp does offer valuable insights and practical skills for those looking to enter the field of technical sales. I graduated from Careerist Academy last year. It was an excellent experience working with a team both academically and comfortably. The schedule and curriculum were very convenient. The content and structure of the lessons were well-organized and easy to learn. Teachers and mentors are professional and supportive. After finishing the course I had amazing and helpful support from my mentor during my job search. I was advised on resume creation and step-by-step job searching. The course is taught by professionals who have many years of experience and knowledge in the field of QA. It only required 2 hours of commitment 5 days a week (if I remember correctly) during the time I was taking the course. Additionally, everything was remote work. The instructors were very kind and informational. They'll answer your questions and concerns. When I signed up for the course I did the Manual QA bundle. I didn't use the Job Application Service (JAS) 'cause I didn't need to. JAS is limited with how long they'll provide assistance so just heads up. What I loved the most about the bundle was gaining real work experience through an internship(s) and having a mentor upon completing your internship(s). I can't speak for others and their experience, but my mentor did a great job with providing me with assistance and guidance. It took me some time before getting hired, but it was due to the impact of the recession. Other than that, careerist prepared me well. Do keep in mind that at the end of the day, you must follow the advice of your instructors/mentor and be ready to put in the work. I found careerist to be resourceful and beneficial to my learning path. Others may disagree in regards to their circumstances, but everyone's experience is different at the end of the day.  Read less

I graduated and got a a job in 3 weeks in 2022 while the job market was super hot. The Manual QA course is very easy to follow and the instructors and mentors are very friendly and passionate about your success. I wanted to change my career and work in IT industry, so I took Manual QA course and completed all lessons and its' tasks.
Not only I learned how to use various tools, but I also had chance to apply my learnings into the internships in the end of course.
While consolidating and practicing all that I learned, I began applying to relevant jobs. Finally 3 months later, I found my first QA job.
The course gave me the key points and knowledge to carry on at the professional work environment.

The only thing which you have to do is to follow the instructions. Careerist has a direct strategy on how to become QA Tester. There were live lessons with helpful instructors who were ready to answer our questions. Then I joined an internship to grow up my practical skills, we tested both web and mobile apps and used different test tools. I could understand how to use them on real projects and indeed it wasn't required to use the code which was just amazing. After finishing the internship I was assigned to my mentor. She helped me with job search preparation, we had enough mock interviews to feel confident. Also, my mentor helped me to create a relevant resume and an attractive LinkedIn profile for recruiters. Even after I got prepared my resume and LinkedIn, we have constant communication and I get help with my interviews. I can feel that Careerist supports me and encourages me to change my life.  Read less

The course was not difficult only if you really wanted to get into to the field. The instructors are very helpful and explain things well. My mentor was very helping and was always on my side. I had good support from him. He kept me going and pulled me through.

It will be soon 1 year since I started working full time as quality assurance engineer after I completed the manual QA course and internship by Careerist. Moreover, 2 of my close friends were also able to land a QA job thanks to Careerist academic support and job interview guidance. To be honest I was really suspicious about this course at first glance since they claim to land you a 75k+ job with no experience required. However, now I can assure everyone who is still in a doubt - you can do it too.  I think the main secret of Careerist's success is that they know what the market needs and how to teach these skills their students. Real-life internship also gave me the confidence and full understanding of what the job looks like and how to succeed in it. All you need to do is attend all classes (or watch recordings), do the homework follow the instructions to a t, and trust your mentor. Read less

For me, Careerist was truly Godsent. As a mother of young kids, I was looking at transitioning from relationship management to software QA, mainly because I wanted to work remotely and I do have an eye for detail. As I was browsing online, I came across Careerist and they had exceptionally good reviews, so I decided to enroll in the manual QA course. I loved that the course was so flexible with timings, all the instructors were fantastic and I especially learnt a lot from Lana. The course content is very good, the internship gave me experience and access to tools in a real work environment; and my mentor helped with my resume and interview prep.  Careerist is very supportive of all their students and graduates, even after they land a job; the support team is extremely helpful with any questions asked. In 2020 I happened to become furloughed from my sales job. At that point, I knew I wanted to have more security in my career. I happened to find a listing on social media, the day I made this decision. After speaking with someone regarding my interest in the Manual QA program, seeing as I had no coding experience at the time. I thought it would be a great opportunity. I was right! Not only did the self-paced lessons allow me to work at my own pace, but the instructors and assistants were able to answer questions I had regarding the material. I attended both the Manual and Automation boot camps. I would recommend having some coding logic under your belt, prior to taking the Automation course as the instruction can get away from you if you lack that experience...(like me). The job placement prep was spot on and my personal Coordinator was very thorough in reviewing the material.     Read less

I did some courses in Software QA Automation with Careerist and men, I have been inviting and directing my friends (who are still wondering about my great turn-around) to Careerist as I write. Few things you must be aware of, as you register with them: 1. Be sincerely ready for a Bootcamp not to be pampered. 2. Don't make yourself an 'Accent hunter'. Instructors might have accents that's not American (this is not news, we have that all over high schools and colleges), but are super-duper talented, very very knowledgeable and industrially experienced. 3. They're NOT job givers (they never said that), but they'll assist you in your job search journey all the way- helping with Resume prep, Interview prep. etc. 4. Even after you graduate, they still maintain a resource base with you. 5. Have a good plan for yourself to moving into the IT world and don't expect anyone to parcel you and throw you in there. No one can do that! You can not for example be transiting form being a Music graduate to the IT world and not put in some extra effort to understanding what you're moving into.
Careerist as a Bootcamp is a great place to invest your time and money. I cannot emphasize the benefits enough in this forum. I got 2 SDET jobs almost two month after graduating with them. And being in the practicality of the job now, I can confidently announce to anyone that care to listen that, their Course Curriculum  and Interview questions are next to none. I highly recommend them to anyone desiring to be a Manual or Automation QA.  Read less
